After taking ten shots, Walter stood up expressionlessly. “Everyone, please have fun. I’ll step outside fora bit.”

As soon as Walter left, Jordan could not stop rubbing his eyebrows.

When Jocelyn heard that, she felt as if she was being barbecued. She looked coldly at Renee who wasbasking in the schadenfreude and stood up. “I’ll go outside to call my boyfriend to tell him to come pickme up.” Renee stopped her at once. Then, she lifted her chin and said, “Don’t. Call him here. Let us seehow he treats you so we can help you decide.”

Jocelyn looked at Renee and lowered her eyes to call Skyler.

The phone rang twice before someone answered.
