Skyler could not describe what he felt the moment he caught sight of the scene within the room.

If he were one step late, Jocelyn would have been violated by this man. She was unconscious as she layon the bed quietly like a child. It was as if she were oblivious to everything happening in hersurroundings.

He could not imagine that one could actually fall for such a scheme even within the confines of one’sown house. Somehow, Skyler recalled her lively gazeand unyielding attitude when she argued with him this afternoon. If she knew about what had happened,what would her reaction be then? He walked up and dragged Chad down fromthe bed. He then threw him by the side like a piece of trash. He quickly put Jocelyn‘s skirt back on her. Chad was stunned. “You…Who are you? What are you trying to do? Why are you disrupting my happy hour?” In the twenty years orso that Skyler had lived, he reckoned that he had experienced all sorts of hardships andobstacles. Regardless of how dirty something was, he could still face it without a change in hisexpression. However, he would never expectsomething like this to happen to Jocelyn in her own home. This was simply beyond terrifying! He turnedaround with a dark expression on his face. He looked like a grim reaper.

He grabbed the belt that Chad had thrown onto the bed and used it to whip Chad.

Chad shouted out in shock, “You can‘t hit me! I‘m the second young master of the Jones household!”

However, his words did not stop Skyler‘s actions at all. Red marks immediately appeared onChad‘s body. Only the sound of the belt whipping through the air could be heard.

Chad cried in pain and howled in desperation. He blurted out a flurry of derogatory wordsas he scolded Skyler. “Why are you hitting me? What are you? You…Ah!” 1 Initially, Chad could still blurtout a few sentences. Toward the end, he could not even utter a single word. It was so painful that hecould only cry out in pain. Skyler seemed to be possessed by avengeful demon. He was so terrifying that it sent chills up one‘s spine.

Chad could not bring himself to move when Skyler whipped him. Skyler finally threw the belt to the ground when it snapped from all the whipping.

He looked at Chad, who was lying on the ground like a rag doll. He then took out a handkerchieffrom the pocket of his suit jacket in a casual manner. Hecleaned his hands with the handkerchief carefully. After that, he threw it at Chad‘s face with a look of disgust.

Meanwhile, Yale kept Michael, Yennis, and Lily outside the door of the room.

Michael‘s heart sunk when he heard the anguished cries coming from within the room.

He did not expect Skyler to appear all of a sudden.

Michael‘s palms were drenched with sweat. Chad had gotten beaten up so badly in their house.

The Jones household definitely would not let this slide easily.

Besides, he had directly offended Skyler in the current situation!

Michael was so frightened that chills crept down his back.

Just then, Skyler took large strides out of the room. Jocelyn was wrapped safely in hisarms. His suit jacket was draped across her.

Michael immediately spoke, “President…President Moore, listen to my explanation! I…”

Skyler ignored him. He told Yale, “Search the room for any recording equipment and takeall of them away!”

After that, he walked past Michael, Tennis, and Lily. He then carried Jocelyndownstairs. Michael started panicking. He turned around and slapped Yennis across theface. “B*tch, this was all your doing! I asked Jocelyn to go upstairs to rest since she was drowsy. Whywas Chad Jones in her room?” Yennis immediately understood what he was doing. Michael was trying topush all the blame onto an ignorant woman like her to appease Skyler’s rage. After all, Skyler would notkill her over this incident. However, if Michael spoke in such a way, he would be able to avoid being onbad terms with Skyler for the time being!

She held her face. Her eyes were red-rimmed. She did not dare to say anything.

Michael noticed Skyler slowing down in his steps. He immediately added, “I know that you

don’t feel good after what happened to Lily today, but you can’t do this. Jocelyn ismy daughter. How dare you treat her like that? Now that things have progressed to this step, how shouldI explain things to President Moore and the Jones household?”

Yennis started sobbing softly. She did not say anything. It was as if she had admitted toeverything that he had accused her of. A sarcastic glint flashed across Skyler’s gaze when he heardwhat she said. How could something like this happen withinthe house without Michael‘s permission? He slowly turned around and looked at Michaelexpressionlessly. “Ask the Jones to go after me however they wish to if that thing upstairs dies orbecomes handicapped!”
