Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call
Chapter 114 Stay Away From Her

Chapter 114 Stay Away From Her

She wasn't surprised to see Christian at the event.

After all, their elite social circle was intertwined and tight-knit. The slightest ripple could quickly spread throughout the community.

Christian made his way over with a drink in hand. With a nonchalant raise of his eyebrow, he asked with a subtle smile, "What's got you all so pleased?"

His gaze swept over Jaxon, paused momentarily on Anastasia, and finally settled on Harry, who was speaking.

Harry, who knew Christian well, chuckled, "I was just saying how lucky Mr. Stanford is. Otherwise, with so many promising young men after Ms. Graves, Mr. Stanford wouldn't stand a chance."

He paused as he noticed Christian's expression souring. Hastily, he added, "So, when is your wedding with Ms. Cohen? Don't forget to invite me!"

The remark only made Christian's face darken even further as he went silent, unable to respond.

A laugh escaped Jaxon's lips as he teased, "Mr. Patterson, do share with us if there's any exciting news, don't keep it to yourself."

On the side, Christian watched Anastasia's serene and emotionless face, a bitter taste spreading in his heart.

She had declined Christian's offer of the Stellar Entertainment project. She already had a new target that was even connected to Jaxon.

A nasty wave of jealousy started spreading within Christian, but he seemed utterly unaware.

He seethed quietly and mused, "It's all because of Jaxon, this oblivious stand-in, shamelessly making moves on her repeatedly!"

He replied with an indifferent tone, "I've always played fair, not like Mr. Stanford."

After hearing that, Jaxon fell silent.

Anastasia glanced at him, then lightened the mood with a few words before setting down her glass. She looked at Jaxon and whispered, "I'm off to the restroom."

Jaxon nodded slightly in response.

Throughout it all, she never once glanced at Christian.

Christian gulped slightly as his eyes darkened.

The veins on his arm slightly bulged as the coldness he was trying to suppress surfaced in his gaze. He lowered his wine glass heavily and glared at Jaxon, warning, "Didn't I already tell you to stay away from her, Jaxon? Was I not clear?"

Jaxon remained calm and unfazed. He placed his glass down and smirked while replying, "I've never been one to take orders. Don't you think you're meddling too much, Mr. Patterson?"

"Hey, you guys..." Harry on the side was becoming somewhat puzzled by the situation.

He thought, "Why did the atmosphere become so tense when Anastasia walked away? Why do I sense a whiff of conflict?"

Jaxon met Christian's icy demeanor with a smirk, showing no signs of backing down.

"You two are divorced now, so you should keep your distance. Otherwise, it might affect us being together..."

Before he could finish, Christian, in a fit of rage, stepped forward, grabbed Jaxon's collar with a grim, and landed a punch on his cheek.

The scene immediately erupted into chaos.

Jaxon wasn't about to back down and retaliated, evenly matching the fight between them.

Before long, both of them sustained injuries.

Onlookers stepped in, trying to mediate, saying, "What are you guys doing? It's so unsightly. Can't you both talk things out?"

Another added, "Right, Mr. Stanford is about to become Ms. Graves' boyfriend, and Mr. Patterson, you're her ex-husband. You're practically her family..." Ironically, their attempts at intervention only intensified the brawl!

It wasn't until their assistants stepped in that the two men were finally separated.

Meanwhile, Anastasia had just freshened up in the bathroom when she was startled by some commotion outside the door.

A nervous waiter informed her, "Ms. Graves, someone took Miss Duncan away. She was taken to the private room at the end."
