Chapter 195 Thrown Out of the Car

Christian closed the car door with a stern face. Before Anastasia could react, he opened the back seat door and got in.

Anastasia was speechless. She suppressed her intense urge to roll her eyes and said indifferently, "Mr. Patterson, don't you have a driver?"

Christian straightened his collar faintly, "I fired the old one for not being loyal. The new one doesn't know the way."

What?

Christian's driver didn't know the way?

What a joke!

Anastasia said, "Excuse me, I'm not your driver. Just take a cab."

Christian's complexion was cold, and a storm was hidden in his eyes, "I waited for you for more than two hours with my injuries until you had finished your meal with that man. Can't you even send me back?" Although his face was stern, there was always a bit of resentment in his tone.

Anastasia chuckled, "Do you still have the right to accuse me after breaking the promises?"

He was the one who said he regretted and refused to sign the contract.

And now he came over and asked for a signature. It was his problem, right?

Anastasia had nothing to say to him.

Christian glared at her angrily and said in a deep voice, "I was just going on a rant, and I didn't mean it. Don't you recognize that?"

Anastasia gritted her teeth. She didn't want to argue with him.

He was too much of a boss to get out of the car.

She took a deep breath and told herself to bear with it as if a dog had bitten her.

What was more, for the sake of him avenging the child...

She started the car in silence, heading towards Patterson Group.

Seeing her obedient move, for a moment, Christian cheered up and smiled slightly.

He thought, "See? You were moved, and you felt guilty.

"You love me so much that you can't extricate yourself!"

Along the way, Anastasia was driving fast.

Christian became nervous somehow. He had never been in Anastasia's car before and didn't expect it to be dashing!

Meanwhile, Christian received a call from abroad.

He glanced at Anastasia and picked it up anyway.

After listening to the report, Christian's complexion darkened. "She disappeared? She ran away?"

The one on the phone replied, "Mr. Patterson, she didn't run away but was robbed."

Christian's thin lips were pursed into a straight line.

Looking at half of the woman's cold and beautiful face reflected in the rearview mirror, he hung up with a sinking heart.

After a few seconds, he couldn't help but say, "I sent Beatrice to Marlandia, but she disappeared."

Anastasia continued driving with a blank expression.

Christian seemed to understand something. He was worried, and his voice was dignified. "It was you? Anastasia, don't do stupid things!"

"Screech!" Anastasia hit the brake.

She pulled over on an empty road.

It was 12 miles away from Patterson Group.

She didn't look back but said coldly, "Whether Beatrice is dead or not, what of it?"

Christian's eyes were pitch black, gloomy, and deep.

He asked, "Jaxon's men paid the guards and took Beatrice away. Wasn't Jaxon doing it for you?"

Anastasia's eyes flickered slightly, and she smiled softly with a bit of coldness.

She said indifferently, "It was me. And then? Do you think I would let her go after what had happened?

"That fire didn't kill her. Why should I let her go?"

Anastasia just didn't want to set herself up for Beatrice.

But she had never forgiven Beatrice.

Christian stayed silent for a few seconds before he said in his hoarse and cold voice, "I thought you were over with it. I sent her to a prison abroad, thinking she would have a hard time there. And I have already made her pay the price. I thought no one would bother us anymore."
