Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman -
Chapter 2007
"Mess up?"
Suspicious, Madeline raised her eyes and looked at Hannah, then she explained the situation in a calm tone.
"What kind of mess up do you mean? A contract is signed for every order, and both parties are obligated to abide by the rules of the contract."
Hannah had never dealt with business matters before, so when Madeline asked, she was dumbfounded.
However, of course, she wanted to ask what would happen if Madeline was the one who messed up.
After thinking about it, Hannah spoke nonchalantly.
"I'm also a member of the Whitman family, so I'm concerned about the situation in the Whitman Corporation, of course. What do you think I'm asking?"
"A member of the Whitman family?"
Madeline curled her lips slightly into a smile when she heard those terms.
Hannah inexplicably felt that Madeline was mocking her when she saw Madeline's smile.
"What are you smiling at? Aren't you the one who agreed to let me join the family? Mr. Whitman also said that he would be responsible for me. Am I still not a part of the family?" Hannah retorted in a dissatisfied tone.
Madeline was still smiling. "Let's get back to the original topic."
She went back to the topic and then parted her lips to speak.
"If the order were to mess up this time, and if the responsibility was on our side, the company will take full responsibility, of course. The compensation is secondary. The most important thing is that it would affect the company's reputation."
Madeline paused halfway through the sentence. Her delicate small face looked more serious.
"The most important thing for people in business is credibility and reputation. Besides, Whitman Corporation is a world-renowned multinational group. Once its reputation is affected, it will cause serious consequences. If you want to learn from me, then you should remember this."
Madeline did not forget to exhort Hannah seriously.
Hannah seemed to listen to it seriously, and then she pondered for a moment before speaking.
"I see. The consequences will be so serious... " she seemed lament. "Then, if it's so serious, the person responsible for negotiating the contract must be severely punished, right?"
Madeline smiled wider when she heard that. "Yes, of course. This person would be severely punished."
When Hannah heard this answer, a cheerful smile gradually appeared on her face.
"That's good." She whispered.
Madeline could clearly hear Hannah's two whispered words, but she asked nothing of it, and instead, she remained a magnanimous and elegant smile because she knew everything clearly in her heart. Ten minutes later, the car arrived at its destination.
The luxurious six-star hotel before them was under Whitman Corporation.
Madeline walked in with Hannah. The client had been waiting in the designated private room for a long time.
When the client, a middle-aged man who looked very calm and seemed to be a good talker, saw Madeline walking over, he got up and shook hands with Madeline, greeting her cordially and amicably.
"Mrs. Whitman, I finally have the honor to meet you." The man's eyes were full of appreciation. " I have always been paying attention to the news about your perfume making, and I have really wanted to see you. I am fortunate to meet you today. You are even more perfect than I imagined."
Madeline smiled and said, "I really don't deserve so much praise, Mr. Sutton. Please sit down."
"Alright. "The man smiled amicably and then sat down opposite Madeline. When he spotted the solemn-looking Hannah next to Madeline, the man asked curiously.
