Hearing what Madeline asked and seeing the content that Madeline was referring to, Hannah was certain that Madeline had already known what Hannah had done!

Hannah's expression changed drastically, her face turning pale and red, seemingly mortified.

Madeline calmly looked at Hannah. "At the time, Jeremy reminded you, didn't he? He told you to leave my laboratory as soon as possible and to not touch anything in there, but you still did." Hannah, not wanting to be convicted just like that, gritted her teeth and argued.

"What did I touch? Eveline, don't try to wrongfully accuse me again!'

"You know very well whether I've wronged you. The surveillance in my laboratory captured it very clearly too. Why? Do you want to verify it?"

<< ... >>

At the mention of the surveillance, Hannah was momentarily speechless.

She stared at the calm and composed Madeline, and Hannah felt powerless to argue. As such, she simply let go of all pretenses.

"Eveline, you've known it for a long time, so why are you playing tricks on me like this? You were also fooling me by keeping me by your side to help you, weren't you?" "Didn't you stay by my side because you want to see me make a fool out of myself?

Madeline asked with a smile with an unsurprised smile.

"You're just disappointed by the outcome of this."

"You..."

"Hannah, how can you be so naive?"

." When Hannah heard Madeline calling her naive, her face fell. However, before she could make a bigger scene, she heard Madeline's calm explanation.

"You can't change this data just because you want to." Madeline smiled and lifted her finger to tap her head softly. "I've recorded the data here."

"Even if I had forgotten, I'd definitely notice something's wrong with the perfume before I

handed them to the client. The client would never have gotten their hands on the problematic perfume. Do you think a huge company like Whitman Corporation would allow someone to take advantage of a loophole like this?"

Upon hearing that, Hannah was completely stunned. She also completely understood that she was the prey.

She had felt pleased with herself thinking that she would be able to see Madeline panic, but she had not expected that she was the laughingstock all along.

She neither got the person she wanted nor witnessed the drama she wanted. The more Hannah thought about this, the angrier and more unconvinced she felt.

Hannah's eyes gradually turned aggressive as she glared at Madeline. Suddenly, out of humiliation, she flew into a rage and lifted her hand to hit Madeline.

However, before she could land a strike, Jeremy grabbed her arm.

The man's austere and cold eyes pierced her like a sharp sword. Shocked, Hannah glanced at him, and then she felt as if she had been assassinated and her whole body shuddered violently. "Get lost," Jeremy parted his lips and said coldly before swinging Hannah's arm away.

Hannah stumbled backward and staggered a few steps as her back crashed into the shelf behind her.

She looked at Jeremy's cold gaze, feeling extremely aggrieved in her heart.

"I now know that you two have been colluding with one other. You've just been waiting to see me make a fool out of myself!" Hannah roared out. "Mr.

Whitman, I like you so much, and I gave myself to you, but I didn't think that you'd be so cruel!'

After hearing this, Jeremy's gaze darkened.

"Even though you colluded with Carter to harm me, I didn't even look into it, so why are you still playing the victim? Do you think you're very innocent and pitiful?" Jeremy's alluring eyes were filled with disdain. "No, you're not pitiful. You're hateful."

Hateful...

Hannah had never expected Jeremy to use this word to describe her.
