Chapter 2326

Madeline did not hesitate and quickly answered the call.

Raegan's voice sounded softly with a hint of hoarseness, "Mrs. Whitman, sorry for disturbing you. I'm Ava's mother."

"I know, Ms. Xander. Do you have something to tell me?" Madeline asked politely, knowing that Raegan was probably calling her because of Ava. Raegan sighed. "I saw you and Ava downstairs of the apartment just now. I didn't dare to disturb her again, so I didn't go over. I just want to ask if Ava's mood is much more stable now?"

"Ava seems calm now. She just took a shower and said she's a little tired, so she wants to rest." Madeline told the truth.

"That's good." Raegan seemed to be relieved. Then, she made a polite request. "Mrs. Whitman, if I may be so bold to ask for a favor, Ihope you can replace some time to meet me tomorrow." Madeline heard the helplessness and powerlessness in Raegan's words. To resolve the matter that had been gnawing on Ava's mind and prevent her from suffering, Madeline readily agreed to meet with Raegan.

After hanging up the phone, Jeremy quickly moved to Madeline's side.

"Linnie, was that Ava's mother? What happened? I heard that Ava seems to have reconciled with her biological mother, so why did they start quarreling again?"

Madeline could not help but sigh, "Ava's dad is back too."

"Ava's dad?"

"Yeah." Madeline nodded. "He's a very authoritative neurologist."

"One is the richest woman in a country, and the other is an expert. Ava's parents are really something else," Jeremy praised.

"Yeah, Ava's parents are very capable. I think they feel guilty about abandoning Ava back then and want to make amends, so I persuaded Ava to give her parents a chance to explain why they left Ava back then. In my opinion, there are no parents in the world who would be willing to abandon their children no matter what."

When she said this, Madeline's gaze softened. Her eyes then fell on the little boy in Jeremy's arms before she spoke again.

"Ava listened to my suggestion and went to her parents to ask about the situation back then, but Ava came to me crying and told me that she found out her parents had abandoned her on their own initiative." "Abandoned her on their own initiative? It doesn't seem reasonable." Jeremy frowned, feeling suspicious and puzzled. "How coulda person who became the richest woman ina country be able to do something like abandoning her child?"

"Maybe there's something else to this matter." Madeline also felt that Jeremy had a point. "She asked me to meet her tomorrow. I think I should be able to replace out the truth when the time comes." "Do you want me to accompany you?" Jeremy wished he could stay by Madeline's side all the time.

"You have to go to work so that we'll have money for our son's milk." Madeline smiled and patted Jeremy's handsome face. "Alright, I'm going to take a shower now. You should coax our son to sleep tonight." After Madeline said that, she turned around. Jeremey looked at her, reluctant to part with her. Madeline quickly sensed it and turned back around to plant a kiss on the corner of Jeremy's lips after standing on her tiptoes. Then, the man went to coax their son to sleep while feeling satisfied.

The night passed. When Madeline woke up, she realized that Ava had gotten up even earlier than her.

It was a nice day today, and the sun was shining brightly. At this moment, Ava was in the courtyard, holding Pudding's hand and talking to Karen about something.

Since Madeline had an appointment with Raegan, she figured she would replace an excuse to go out later.

Madeline ate some breakfast, and when she was about to get up, Ava walked over with Pudding.
