Man of Stories
Chapter 9, Destiny awaits

Back the tower of Hurazu, Beatrice was cleaning the home level of the tower while Tom and Tim walked around some more and Tom who showed Tim just how insane everything truly was. Thats when the two as they were descending the levels of the tower found an old room. The door was shut, but you could feel the history coming from behind it’s wooden barrier.

“Woah, who did this belong to?” Tim asked when Tom then smiled and went to the door, he looked down at an old sign on the floor and picked it up. He hung it on the door to which Tim covered his mouth in complete disbleif.

“Thomas Fraker.” Tim read as he looked at the sign and then to his grandfather.

“No way, this was you? What did you even do?” Tim asked

“I served the fairies for a long, looong time before I became a official guardian of Hurazu.” Tom said as he then looked through his pockets for the key to the door.

“Dang sounds rough, what did you do? How long did they keep you for?” Tim asked

“Tch long enough, I had gotten so use to eating vegetables there when I put my lips on something meaty, I actually threw up. It took me several years to get used to eating meat and other foods again.

Didn’t help that the fairy prince Dereus was a complete piece of work. I don’t know how Evela puts up with that walking fiasco. I will say one thing is good though. Getting a chance to explore the universe, see new sights, dance with some of most beautiful beings I’ve ever seen or could dream of...my boy it’s an experience like no other. AH HA! There it is.” Tom said as he then found the key to his old room and then opened the door. When they got inside, they saw his old bed, a big chest near the foot of the bed and a whole desk filled with trinkets. For the most part the whole place was nicely kept together. It also had a map of the universe on the wall. Tim immediately fixated on the map and then grabbed it from the wall carefully while Tom was going on a nostalgic trip.

“Wow, did you make this?” Tim asked

“No, the Eret people did. Most specifically Gambur’s grandfather or as they call it “gungandar” which means “very old” in their people’s language. Gutear documented just about every nook and cranny when it came to the overarching universe and all that was within it.

The universe contains all that is, was and all that can and can’t be imagined. Some observers call our universe “The canvas”.” Tom said.

“Why do they call it that?” Tim asked.

“Cause we’ve just about had all kids of paint splashed on us.” Tom chuckled as Tim did the same, Tim then took a deeper look into his galaxy where earth and the moon all resonated in.

“What about this, what about the galaxy?” Tim asked.

Tom nodded as he then went over all he knew about their galaxy and even how others worked as well.

The Galaxy or all galaxies for that matter are seen as finite to fairies of Teseara while it is well beyond infinite to all other races. However just like god you can’t bend your mind around infinity let alone anything beyond such a thing. How would it work? how do things get in? and how do things get out?

However, that was the thing, you don’t wrap your head around it cause there’s no way to understand what can’t be comprehended or understand something that simply shouldn’t be. The galaxy was perfect, perfectly balanced and constantly spinning in a state beyond any known understanding. On Earth there exist a plane of reality called the “sheet”. This sheet is made up of the collective unconscious of all humanity. Their fear of the unknown, unchanging and illogical caused them to shun away the bizarre and the wicked. The sheet is a plane of reality that all of mankind subconsciously created together, it holds all their precious truths, lies, theories and rules.

Such as dogs can’t talk, that the sun is the center of the solar system, cats meow, fiction is only in their heads and so on. Life for them is normal. A good portion of humanity is completely unaware or choosing to ignore (Or at most unaware they’re ignoring) the supernatural and other world nature of space and beyond. However, to others like Tom and now Tim who are nicknamed “adventurers” can see things beyond this.

They are awake to all the wonders beyond their home world and into the vastness of space, they are awake to the possibilities, other dimensions and the imaginary. In all understanding, the galaxy is everything, everything that has been, everything that can be and everything that will be in all manners. The sheet is seen as nothing more than finite to such an overwhelming thing. However, galaxies weren’t all the same.

Galaxies are comprised of beyond uncountable infinite layers with each layer being bigger, stronger and more then the last. Not all galaxies shared the same laws, physics and theories as each one was different from the last. Within these galaxies were solar systems which within them stored lower and higher conceptual types of space-time. Solar systems are seen as the backbone of the existential planes as they went far beyond alephs nulls. Some Eret even saying that mathematics/advanced mathematics stop at the solar system itself since galaxies and solar systems were known to transcend pataphysics and metaphysics and dimensionality itself.

Some galaxies were bigger than others and contained much more or sometimes much less. Comparing a new galaxy with an old one was like trying to compare a puddle to the ocean. This is thanks to Euda; they make the galaxies like this to make sure the universe stays full. Some galaxies are so bizarre that they could even contain other galaxies forming a GC or better known as ”A Galaxy Cluster" with a supermassive blackhole in the center this thing sucks in neighboring galaxies and creates one giant cluster where hundreds of them now all live in sync.

Tim had no words for all the things he had just been told. However Tim then noticed a giant emptiness around the universe map.

“Hey gramps, what is all this empty space? did the map guy not finish?” Tim asked as Tom walked over to him and looked down.

“Oh no my boy, thats just the emptiness, it is hard to put into words, but I’ll try.

The emptiness isn’t nonexistent oh no, it is antithetical to existence itself. It collapses all distinctions into nothingness. There exists nothing beyond or within the emptiness.” Tom said as he then rolled up the map.

“Come on lad, theres something I want to show you.” Tom said as he walked Tim down the stairs and towards the tree of Endu. Tim looked around as he saw giant stone engravings going along a massive slab of stone, but unlike any stone he had seen before. It showed events from lifetimes that Tim could never imagine. He then spotted something interesting. It was him facing towards the moon.

“Wait I’m there too...with...the moon.” Tim said worried as he looked at Tom who was still staring at the large stone engravements.

“These tellings go far back, so far that they even predate the cosmos itself. These engravings have been here longer than some of the oldest of fairies.” Tom said.

“This tree also picks heroes and is able to sense when the next will be here, but after my time as it came to pass the tree hasn’t been active in quite literally decades.” Tom said as he and Tim walked to the tree of Endu. They both looked at its might branches and stronger pale bark. The markings on it reminded Tim of himself when he was younger.

“What is this?” Tim asked.

“This is the tree of Endu, one of many. This tree exists across many worlds and dimensions. It is seen as even being a thing resembling Hilbert Space physiology. There are many places across the universe this tree appears. Could say its present everywhere in the universe though only it’s true self appears here. However, this tree is delectate and we can’t risk the hive or even the Dark One being able to destroy it. Otherwise, the-...Sorry my boy that will have to be the end of all I can say.” Tom said before then began to cough. They then heard Beatrice run down the stairs by the sound of her footwear, she leaned against the railing in completely exhausted.

“Beatrice whats wrong!?” Tom asked

“Its the monads! THEY WERE ATTACKED BY THE DARK ONE!” Beatrice screamed, Tom, Tim, Gambur and everyone else felt their stomachs sink. Suddenly all the adventure, the fun left Tim’s mind and was replaced with the painstaking reality of the situation he had been brought up against. Tim nearly fell over, Tom looked back and then began to make his way up the stairs towards Beatrice who took him to the home level. Tim watched as he then looked at his hands shaking. He shouldn’t be here; he should be home. With Danny, eating his mom’s food and waiting for his dad to get back this weekend. He sat against the tree, everything he learned, everything he heard. He looked up at the tree, at the symbol of importance. He soon realized he himself wasn’t too important in the grand scheme of things. If there was one of course.

“Hey! Gramps, I-I’m ready to go home now and maybe...do what you said all humans do.” Tim said as he got up and leaned against the tree of Endu putting his hand on it. He then attempted to move away from the tree before he then realized his hand was stuck. He tried removing it, but nothing happened. His hand was permanently attached to the tree.

“UH GUYS! A LITTLE HELP! GUYS!” shouted Tim when suddenly a branch from the tree came down and touched his forehead. Tim then received visions of future events though he would understand them. He saw his grandfather passing away in a hospital and then the moon shinning on him from the window and then an image of a boy with dark hair with a purple tint to it holding the girl he had a crush on. The boy’s dark scarlet eyes glowed in the shadows of her hair while he gave him a dark smile. Like as if he was seeing into the past, just like he was being shown the future now. After that moment, Tim woke up on the ground surrounded by everyone.

“Tim m’boy! You alright?” Tom said as he pulled up Tim who rubbed his forehead.

“Ugh, yea I think so.” Tim said as he looked at the Tree of Endu and then back to Tom only to then get smothered by Beatrice as she embraced him. Her chest in his face.

“OH THANK GOODNESS!!! WE WERE WORRIED!” Beatrice shouted

“Hes fine lady.” Hoolo said only for Fen to shake their head in disbelief at Beatrice’s exaggerated behavior. Gambur walked around and towards the tree which also touched his head with a vine. He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again.

“Thats what it did to me. That weird tree touched me.” Tim said, Gambur’s eyes looked down to Tim as he touched the tree.

“This weird tree is the tree of Endu. It is the very thing that connects all spiritual and philosophical aspects of our world together. Even those spirits and philosophies that haven’t been conceived. It also acts as the center of the universe...or one of them.” Gambur said, that was when Tim’s phone began ringing much to the surprise of everyone as they had no idea what a phone was, besides Tom who was just shocked to see it working this far out.

Tim looked at everyone before he then answered it. Thats before he then saw the caller ID.

“MOM?!” Tim said completely confused.

“THATS RIGHT MISTER! You better start explaining a few things.” said Tim’s mom. Tim looked around looking for ideas, but no one had one to give this mystery woman.

“UhhH mom I can explain-”

“I don’t want to hear it, I get back and replace a mess in the kitchen and your room a mess. I thought I asked you to clean that up two days ago. If this is your rebellious phase kicking in you know I’m here for you.” she said much Tim’s annoyance.

“Look, I told your school about your abrupt adventure. However you need to get back here, they only gave you one more day away. Good thing your grades aren’t poop. Look I’m going to get to cooking, I expect you back tomorrow. Bye, Love you.” she hung up the phone, Tim looked around to see the fairies laughing and Tom snickering.

“Grreeeaaat.” Tim exaggerated as he pinched his nose.

“Well if we’re all done with this, there is some important news we need to get back to.” Gambur said

“What is it?” Tim said

“The monad people have fallen, or a best barley survived absolute extinction and to make things more complicated...they just sent us the Anti-monad." Gambur said as the room was silent, so quiet that you could hear the movement of the leaves of the tree of Endu.
