The sound of the water pump reverberated across the air.

The entire abandoned factory had been thoroughly cleaned, both inside and out. Although it still looked rather downtrodden, it was exceptionally neat.

Matthew was also as busy as a bee. As a result, he was perspiring profusely.

There were too many people and not enough time for him to implement his plans.

Since he had over 800 people to feed, he had to oversee the task to its completion personally.

As everyone was famished and had just exerted a lot of energy helping out, they devoured the medicinal gruel that Matthew had prepared in a matter of minutes. Although they were already sweating profusely due to the hard work, they felt an unusual warmth swirling in their bodies after the meal.

"Danny, I feel really hot right now."

"Hey, me too! It's like I've jumped into a furnace."

Danny, who was leading the group, wasn't faring any better as he started fanning himself with a wooden board.

Although it was undoubtedly the coldest time of the year, he couldn't feel the slightest bit of chill. It was bizarre as he was only wearing a thin, short-sleeved shirt.

Meanwhile, Matthew couldn't help but chuckle inwardly as he observed their reactions.

Still, he hid the mischief in his eyes as he maintained his usual demeanor. Then, he curled his lips into a smirk and reminded them, saying, "Oh, you feel hot? There's a river on the east side of the factory. If memory serves me, it shouldn't be frozen at this time of year. If you can't bear the heat, you can just jump in and cool off."

Everyone's eyes lit up the instant those words fell from his lips.

Then, they eagerly rose to their feet without even a word, removed their jackets, and rushed toward the river that Matthew had mentioned.

Captain Calloway, who had caught sight of this worrying scene, approached Matthew with a concerned expression.

"Mr. Larson, won't they catch a cold from the freezing water? After all, it's already winter."

Matthew waved his hand dismissively.

"It's fine, let them go. I secretly added some herbs to their food. It not only expels the cold from their bodies and replenishes their vitality, but it also gives them a chance to clean themselves up." As he said this he waved his hand in front of his nose.

Then, he added playfully, "Besides, didn't you notice the smell? The whole place will be polluted by their sweat if they don't take a shower."

With that, Captain Calloway couldn't help but nod in agreement as they both burst into laughter.

So, the two of them engaged in a cheerful conversation as the others went to the river for their impromptu bath time.

On the other side of the river, the men led by Danny jumped into the water one after another. In fact, it was such a comical sight as they resembled dumplings being dropped into a boiling pot.

Even the girls joined in. Of course, they were fully clothed.

Laughter and joy filled the air.

Matthew smiled faintly as he gazed at their lively demeanor.

"I have already arranged for their basic living supplies to be delivered later. Unfortunately, it seems I will have to trouble you to take care of their food, clothing, shelter, and transportation, Captain Calloway." Then, he continued, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Captain Calloway. But fear not, I will return once they are in good health."

After that, he left in a hurry.

He had no choice in the matter as he only had a limited number of people under his command at the moment. So, he had to rely on the guards who had accompanied him from Bainbridge.

As for himself... Well, he needed to rush back to the clinic to prepare for the upcoming events.

One had to admit that Grayson's words truly had a way of lighting the fire under Matthew's butt.

It was already evening by the time Matthew returned to the clinic.

The Rejuvenis Alternative Medicine Clinic had undergone a drastic change in its appearance.

Naturally, the newly renovated style was implemented according to Matthew's plan.

"Mr. Larson, while the craftsmen are still working on the renovation, why don't we decide on the decorations and the name of the shop? This way, we can make use of their presence to get things done as soon as possible. Plus, we are aiming to open for business tomorrow."

After hearing the suggestion, Matthew couldn't help but agree that it was a good idea.

So, he pondered it over before asking Grayson to bring him paper and a pen.

Then, he wrote down his opinions on the paper before handing his instructions to the carpenter.
