Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3146 Your Majesty, I'm Here to Get You Out

In the military camp, Iris sat trapped inside the large tent, her face a mask of despair. She knew that death awaited her.

A soldier quietly lifted the corner of the tent and slipped inside. "Your Majesty, I'm here to get you out."

Seeing her hands freed, Iris felt a rush of excitement. "You'll be rewarded for saving me. Once we return, I'll make you the next Minister of Military Affairs."

The soldier beamed with excitement and whispered to her, "Your Majesty, while no one's watching, let's make a run for it. If we can reach the rear army, we'll be safe." Earlier, the Minister of Military Affairs had ordered the rear army to cease fire, leaving all heavy artillery silent.

If I can reach the troops at the rear, with countless tanks and soldiers as protection, Matthew wouldn't dare touch me, thought Iris.

"Your Majesty, take us with you! Please don't leave us behind!"

The three princes, bound together, called out to her, their voices desperate.

The soldier inside the tent frowned at the princes before speaking softly to her. "Your Majesty, if we take too many people, we might not make it."

Iris hesitated, glancing at the princes. Gritting her teeth, she turned to the soldier and said, "Take me first. Leave them behind."

Hearing this, the three princes quickly began pleading with Iris, hoping she would take them along.

"Your Majesty, have you forgotten your promises to us when we were together before?"

"You said you'd never leave us behind, no matter what happened!"

"Please, Your Majesty, let us come with you..."

Iris gave them a cold look and then dashed off with the soldier, leaving the tent without a second thought She knew that her path to success was littered with useful tools for her pleasure, and she would be a fool to drag along these three burdens.

Inside the tent, the three princes were left speechless and teary-eyed. They had thought that sharing the Iris' bed would allow them to lead carefree lives as princes. Instead, they had been cast aside. The Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Princes sat back-to-back, praying Gadel would spare them out of familial loyalty.

Whether they ended up living out their days in the doghouse or chanting prayers in a monastery, these were the best outcomes for deposed princes in the history of Montiria of the victorious prince had a soft heart, he might let his siblings live comfortably in a temple or deserted palace. But if he were ruthless, he might just send them there as a pretense and then toss them into a well at night, claiming they had taken their own lives. Afterward, he would publicly mourn,

shedding crocodile tears, and earn a

reputation as a loving brother.

On the battlefield, Gadel stood tall in the midst of the bloodshed, a golden crown resting upon his head. "Where's Iris?" He fixed the Minister of Military Affairs with a cold stare, his words laced with a palpable menace. The minister quickly replied, "Your Majesty, the criminal Iris is locked in the command tent. Would you like to see her now?"

Gadel nodded coolly. This battle had changed him in more ways than one.

Matthew studied Gadel, certain that upon their return, his first order of business would be to purge the court. Knowing Gadel's temperament, if half of the ministers survived two months, it would be a miracle. "Take me to her." Gadel's voice was as icy as his demeanor. He pulled his Eagle Sword from the ground, its blade slick with crimson blood that dripped slowly from its beak-shaped tip.

The Minister of Military Affairs wiped the sweat from his brow and led the way, too afraid to utter another word.

He couldn't help but wonder if Gadel was truly the same Sixth Prince they had known. The former Sixth Prince had been a bit of a flirt but generally kind, often greeting the ministers with a friendly nod and a smile. Even Iris used to smile at them when things were calm. Now, with Gadel exuding an aura of deadly intent, his fearsome reputation among the ministers was growing by the minute.
