Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3182 Heading to Hulwin
"Gloam Wing Division has two urgent missions at this moment. First, eliminate every last remnant of the traitor Garrett. Leave no one alive!"
Gadel's voice was charged with intense killing intent, and his fist tightened unconsciously.
He wasn't stupid. Garrett had just made his appearance in Dornia, and the very next day, a Dornian aircraft had crashed in Montiria, coincidentally landing right on him.
It seemed his dear third brother harbored deep hatred toward him and was eager to return to challenge the throne once more.
"Secondly, take half of our men to Hulwin. Locate Matthew and request that he come to treat the princess."
"Understood, Your Majesty."
As they left the grand hall, Aelion's eyes betrayed his displeasure.
It was troubling that the princess of Montiria had to rely on a foreign doctor. Wasn't this a glaring reflection of Montiria's inadequacy?
...
Meanwhile, Matthew was in the pharmacy, checking Painkiller's pulse.
After a lengthy moment, he let out a slow breath, his expression softening as he reassured the staff.
"Painkiller just fainted from exhaustion. You all have nothing to worry about. Let him rest, and he'll be alright."
The staff nodded in understanding. Matthew covered Painkiller with a light blanket before stepping outside.
"Everything here should continue as normal. If anyone refuses the relief medication, have them come to see me."
The primary purpose of the relief medication was to prevent patients from succumbing to the prolonged lack of absorption of Night Vines.
As the staff left, Matthew settled into his office chair, picked up the cigarette that Sylvan had given him from the desk, and lit it. "Cough... I really can't adapt to this."
He stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray and stared at the farewell letter Sasha had left behind.
After some time, he tucked the letter into his pocket.
Sasha leaves without a word. She must have something urgent.
Matthew felt a lingering concern but tried to reassure himself. Sasha likely had something she couldn't share and had left to address it.
She'd be back soon
In the following two days, Matthew either sat in his office reviewing documents from the Martial League or assisted the now-awakened Painkitter in administering
medication to patients experiencing withdrawal.
He was careful not to let Painkiller handle the flood of withdrawal patients alone, fearing that he might faint from exhaustion again.
That day, just after finishing lunch and preparing for a brief break, Matthew received a call from Gadel.
"Gadel, what prompts such a busy king to call me?"
The tone on the other end was grave and serious.
"Matthew, Garrett orchestrated a
plane crash targeting me a few days ago. Although I escaped, my princess Fiorenna, was injured. She had just conceived my child, and she might lose it because of this incident. I need your assistance."
Matthew paused for a moment before responding.
"Alright, I'll go to Montiria as soon as possible."
"Thank you. I've sent someone to pick you up. They should be there shortly."
Gadel's face lit up with joy. With Matthew's medical expertise, Fiorenna would surely be fine.
...
Outside Matthew's villa in Hulwin, Aelion had already arrived with a group of his men.
Aelion stepped forward and knocked on the door. When a middle-aged woman answered, he was taken aback and asked, "Is this Matthew's home?"
