Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3193 The Treatment
Inside the room, Elder Wynter slowly approached Fiorenna, who lay pale and lifeless on the bed.
Fiorenna, her throat dry and voice weak, barely managed to speak as she gazed at the kind face of Elder Wynter. "Elder, will my baby survive?"
Tears no longer came to Fiorenna's eyes; her body was too dehydrated to produce them.
Elder Wynter looked at Fiorenna's cracked lips and pallid complexion, and a gentle smile spread across her face. She spoke softly, "Your child will be safe. You're exhausted now, so rest."
The next moment, Fiorenna's eyes slowly closed, and she drifted off to sleep.
Then, a soft blue light emanated from Elder Wynter's hands, bathing Fiorenna in its glow.
After several minutes, Fiorenna's once pallid cheeks regained their color, her cracked lips became full and smooth again, and, most importantly, the injuries caused by the plane's aftershock began to heal. Cough, cough, cough!
Elder Wynter was suddenly overcome by a fit of violent coughing.
She knew she was getting old. Even a brief use of her powers left her utterly exhausted. A sense of melancholy filled her eyes; perhaps it was time for her to join her old friends in the afterlife. Creak...
Elder Wynter pulled the door open.
Dorothy, seeing the elder's weary face, quickly stepped forward to support her.
Elder Wynter turned to Gadel, her voice heavy with fatigue. "King Gadel, the princess consort's condition is much better now. I'll return in a few days to check on her."
Gadel's previously worried expression immediately brightened. "Thank you, Elder Wynter. I will forever be in your debt."
Elder Wynter waved off his gratitude as unimportant and slowly left, supported by Dorothy.
Filled with excitement, Gadel rushed into the room to check on Fiorenna. She now looked vibrant and full of life once more. Gadel gently took her soft hand and asked, "How are you feeling, Fiorenna?" Fiorenna, her face glowing with happiness, tenderly touched her belly. "Your Majesty, I can even feel our baby moving."
Meanwhile, the entire kingdom of Montiria had fallen back under royal control due to Gadel's bloody purge earlier that morning. His personal unit, the Gloam Wing, had begun a widespread crackdown.
In the dead of night, Cyrus led the Gloam Wing soldiers to the gates of a minister's mansion. A wicked grin spread across his face as he addressed the men behind him. "Take whatever you can from this place tonight-jewels, money, women." Cyrus' words seemed more fitting for a corrupt official than for a member of the king's special forces.
The Gloam Wing soldiers turned into shadows, scaling the walls and infiltrating the mansion. Armed to the teeth, they killed anyone they encountered-servants, maids, guards, even stray dogs.
One member, spotting a noblewoman he'd never dreamed of touching before, let lust flicker in his eyes.
"Help! Someone, please-"
By dawn, dozens of prominent families, wealthy merchants, and aristocrats had been wiped out. The vast majority of their accumulated wealth ended up in the pockets of the Gloam Wing soldiers, with only a small portion handed over to Gadel. As for the families, the beautiful women were taken captive, and those deemed unattractive were executed on the spot.
The entire kingdom of Montiria was plunged into terror overnight. People lived in constant fear that a group of armed men might suddenly burst into their homes, accusing them of being Garrett's remnants and executing them on the spot while
their wives and daughter re
treated as playthings.
Gadel was well aware that the Gloam Wing might act out of personal vendettas, but he didn't care. At this moment, he embraced the mentality of killing a thousand innocents rather than letting a single enemy slip through. He wanted only one voice to be heard in Montiria-his own.
