Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3208 The Gathering of Financial Titans

"Gentlemen, the people of Montiria are in a state of unrest, and the country is teetering on the brink of collapse. Now is the perfect time for us to act!"

In the grand estate of Earl Ezekiel Birol of Dornia, Prince Garrett stood confidently at the front, passionately addressing the influential figures gathered before him.

"So, Your Highness, are you suggesting we take this opportunity to help you ascend to the throne?" A wealthy man from Dornia, with an arm draped around a scantily clad maid, inquired.

"Oh, no, no, Mr. Ellis, you've misunderstood me. You are one of Dornia's top investors-I would never waste your time with idle talk," Garrett responded smoothly. "Of course, the reason I've gathered you all here today isn't to discuss trivial matters. Instead, I have a massive profit opportunity right before your eyes."

Garrett's voice was laced with temptation, but the wealthy businessmen remained unmoved. Each of them had survived brutal financial battles, and no amount of persuasion would sway them without clear prospects.

"Gents, I've thoroughly analyzed the current situation in Montiria. The Gloam Wing has monopolized power and is aggressively hoarding wealth. Because of their oppression and the ensuing chaos, Montiria is now in utter disarray. If we join forces, we can easily short Montiria!"

Garrett's words were like a thunderclap, sparking a glimmer of interest among the financial titans below. However, mere words weren't enough to convince them of the plan's feasibility.

"Your Highness, you're aware of the basic requirements for shorting an entire country, right?"

"Of course," Garrett replied, his smile radiating confidence. "First, Montiria's current predicament is ripe for our intervention. Second, my old allies in Montiria still hold various assets under their names. I'll instruct

them to mortgage these assets to the banks or sell them off fraction of their original

M

value-perhaps even a third. By then, we'll have at least ten billion

Montirian Ducats at our disposal. I don't need to spell out what happens next, do I?"

Garrett didn't need to finish his sentence; the financial titans immediately grasped the plan's feasibility. As long as they held a substantial amount of Montirian Ducats, the limited annual printing of the currency would work in their favor. A sudden influx of Ducats on the market would drastically decrease its purchasing power and value. All they would need to do is create a wave of panic, and soon enough, the Montirian Ducat would become nearly worthless, while the Dornian Emerald would hold its value.

As a result, many Montirians would rush to exchange their Ducats for Emeralds. Eventually, even within Montiria, all purchases and transactions would require Dornian Emeralds, as no one would trust the ever-declining Ducat. Today, five Ducats might buy you one Emerald, but tomorrow, it might take ten Ducats for the same exchange. With their stockpile of Emeralds, they could then swoop in, buying up oil fields, mansions, and other valuable assets in Montiria.

As the situation worsened, the assets Garrett's loyalists had mortgaged could be reclaimed for just a fraction of their original value-maybe three or four billion Ducats instead of ten. Eventually, buying a loaf of bread in Montiria might cost three million Ducats when it used

to cost just three. The purchasing power of their billions in Emeralds would multiply by tens or even hundreds of times.

The potential profits were so immense that even these world-renowned financial titans, worth billions themselves, couldn't suppress the greedy desires welling up within them.
