Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3310 The Car Out of Control
Matthew, in his white trench coat, walked along the busy street with Shawn, who was dressed in black. As they strolled, the woman in the passenger seat of the speeding SUV had her attention entirely fixed on Matthew's striking appearance. "So handsome..." she whispered, unable to contain herself.
Her words only fueled the rage of the black-haired driver. His eyes darted to Matthew, his face twisting with fury. Without hesitation, he swerved the SUV directly toward Matthew, determined to run him down.
Shawn spotted the SUV hurtling toward them and instinctively reached for his waist, prepared to act. But Matthew placed a hand on his arm, shaking his head calmly. In such a crowded public area, pulling a weapon could cause unnecessary panic. Instead, Matthew's sword, Bloodreaper, subtly appeared in his hand. As the SUV closed in, he gently thrust the sword forward, releasing a barely noticeable flash of light. The sword's energy shot into the engine, reducing it to scrap metal.
The SUV, now powerless, gradually slowed to a stop right in front of Matthew and Shawn. The black-haired driver looked bewildered as his vehicle came to a halt, inches from the two men. His frustration only deepened as he noticed the infatuated gaze of the woman beside him, still fixed on Matthew.
Rage boiling over, he flung open the car door and shouted at them, "You idiots are standing in the middle of the road. Trying to get yourselves killed?!"
Shawn's eyes darkened with anger at the man's audacity. Who does this b*stard think he is, yelling at Matthew?!
"Apologize to my friend," he demanded coldly, stepping up to the driver.
The driver scoffed as if he'd just heard the most ridiculous thing ever. He had gone through all of the trouble of sneaking out of his house, and now some fool was demanding an apology?! "Apologize? Do you even know who I am? I'm Caleb Schafer!" He spat out his name with arrogance, causing the crowd around them to shuffle back nervously.
"Is it the notorious troublemaker, Caleb Schafer?"
"That's right, it's him the heir to the Schafer Family, always throwing his weight around like he owns the place."
Ignoring the murmurs, Shawn kept his gaze locked on Caleb and repeated, "Apologize."
"My father is Bartholomew Schafer!"
"I said, apologize."
"My family's one of the most powerful in all of Dewsbury, and you're telling me to apologize?"
Smack!
Without another word, Shawn slapped him across the face. Caleb stood there, stunned. He hadn't expected Shawn to actually hit him.
"You... I'm going to kill you!" Caleb lunged at Shawn, but his clumsy attempt was effortlessly countered. In seconds, Shawn had him pinned to the ground.
"How dare you attack Mr. Schafer?!" Two burly men in black rushed over from behind. Upon seeing Caleb being beaten, they roared in anger.
Caleb, still on the ground, smirked.
These two were no ordinary bodyguards-they were personal
hires of his father, the richest man in Dewsbury. Each was a former world
boxing champion, top-tier fighters.
But in the blink of an eye, both "champions" were sent flying by two quick kicks from Shawn, landing in a heap beside Caleb.
Caleb's face twisted in disbelief as veins popped out on his forehead. "Aren't you supposed to be world-class fighters? What the hell was that?!"
Shawn stood there, his arms crossed, looking at the three of them with a mocking smile. "C'mon, that all you got?"
Caleb's face turned redder with anger. He screamed at his two bodyguards, "What are you waiting for? Go get Master Erasmus!"
Erasmus was a highly revered guest
of the Schafer Family, someone Bartholomew had gone to great lengths to keep in their service. In fact, Bartholomew treated Erasmus with more respect than he did his own son.
"No need. I'm already here."
A calm, steady voice echoed
through the street. An elderly man dressed in a black martial arts
uniform, his face dignified and youthful despite his silver hair, strode forward with remarkable speed.
As he surveyed the scene and the three men sprawled on the ground, Erasmus sighed deeply, a trace of disappointment in his voice.
