Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3333 Caleb's New Attitude

Three days flew by.

In that span, Matthew handled the six intruders they'd captured. Under pressure, they cracked and revealed the truth. Most were spies for the Watson Family, sent by Calbhach to undermine the construction supplies. Matthew had Errol lock them up in the Martial League's custody while he focused on training Cole himself.

Meanwhile, the crown prince had only managed to drag himself out of bed the day before. After getting thrashed by Matthew, who didn't even bother patching him up, he spent two painful days recovering.

"Hey, Boss, do you want me to come with you for backup?" the crown prince eagerly asked when he heard Matthew was off to face the chief healer in a showdown.

Matthew eyed him suspiciously, knowing the crown prince might show up with a gun and try to end things his way.

"Nah, I've got it. I'll return before noon," Matthew replied, shaking his head as he walked out with Cole. He figured it was good for the kid to get some fresh air and see more of the world.

As they left, the crown prince stood there feeling a bit abandoned. He thought, Well, looks like I've been ditched.

Once they were gone, Caleb silently went about tidying up the table. He was like a new person-quiet, focused, and serious. The crown prince's influence had clearly changed him.

After Matthew left that day, the crown prince had a long, private talk with Caleb. They were in there for an hour. When Caleb finally came out, he looked weighed down, and his rebellious spark was gone. No one knew what the crown prince had said, but it clearly left a mark.

Even Bartholomew couldn't believe the change. "That's not my kid," he'd remarked, totally stunned.

Later, a crowd had already gathered outside the Willow Alley.

The chief healer was putting on quite a show, playing the victim to win people over while trashing Matthew's name at every chance.

Most of the crowd was there to support the chief healer.

Someone shouted, "There he is the challenger!"

"Is this the guy trying to take

Someone else added, "He's good-looking, but I bet he's rotten inside."

Matthew walked calmly toward them with Cole, ignoring the insults. He wasn't about to lose his cool over

Yet Cole, still young and quick to react, couldn't handle it. His round little face flushed with anger. "Stop talking about my master like that!" he yelled, loud enough to quiet the crowd for a second.

Then the insults shifted, this time landing on Cole.

"Check out that kid. So young and already calling that sc*mbag his master."

"If I had my way, I'd have thrown that brat in the gutter the day he was born."

"I know him—that's the widow's kid from the edge of town." "Widow, huh?"

"Yeah, her husband died early, left her on her own."

"Well, that explains why the kid follows a guy like that. Think his mom is..." "Who knows? Raising a kid alone, she's probably lost all dignity by now."

"Trash sticks together. No wonder they're both a mess."

The cruel words hit Cole hard, and tears rose in his eyes.
