Married At First Sight Chapter 3819

Chapter 3819

Zachary and Julian stepped out of the house, followed by two servants carrying a large tray with food and drinks. The servants kept pace behind their masters.

Both men had sharp eyesight and soon spotted their beloved partners seated at a distance.

Without needing to ask, Zachary sensed that Serenity was a bit tired.

In the past, he had seen female employees in his company work late into their pregnancies, even when their bellies were noticeably large. Although their duties were lighter, many continued working.

Having observed this, Zachary assumed that pregnancy and childbirth were relatively easy. He hadn't considered these women's perspectives. They kept working, even when pregnant, out of fear that taking extended leave would lead to being replaced or sidelined, forcing them to start over in the competitive environment of a large organization.

Climbing the corporate ladder is a challenging process, with promotions requiring persistence. No one wants to lose their hard-earned positions, so they push themselves to work until around eight months of pregnancy. At that point, even if they wish to continue, companies usually enforce maternity leave to protect them.

Zachary had seen these scenarios play out numerous times. When Serenity first got pregnant, she insisted on continuing her work and running her business. Zachary supported her choice without hesitation.

Now, with Serenity's growing belly, Zachary realized pregnancy wasn't as easy as he once thought. Serenity's stamina was exceptional, yet even she needed frequent breaks after short walks. Before pregnancy, she could explore all of Wildridge Manor in one go without complaining. As a martial artist, her strength surpassed that of many ordinary women.

With the year-end approaching, Elisa had taken on most of Serenity's company responsibilities, leaving Serenity and Jasmine to only make occasional visits. Jasmine, however, continued going to the bookstore every day. Despite it being the off-season during winter break, she preferred staying active rather than being confined at home during her pregnancy.

Though Jasmine's family and in-laws provided her with all the support she needed, and money was not a concern, she still felt restless. Used to a life of freedom and activity, she found staying at home monotonous.

Her husband, Josh, adored her deeply and supported whatever made her happy. Working at the bookstore allowed her to read, chat with neighbors, visit friends, and pass the time in a fulfilling way. Earning money wasn't the priority; her happiness was. "There they are," Julian pointed out to Zachary.

He had been worried he might need to search for Kiera and Serenity, and had even taken out his phone to call Kiera. Wildridge Manor was vast, with each season offering unique and stunning views.

Julian, familiar with its beauty, always took the opportunity to explore the grounds whenever he visited Grandma York, marveling at the different seasonal displays. "I see them. Let's head over," Zachary replied. "There's a pavilion nearby. Let's call them to join us there for tea and a chat."

With that, Zachary started walking briskly towards Serenity, with Julian following close behind. On the way, Julian inquired about the marriage certificate process.

"You don't need to ask anyone for advice," Zachary responded. "Just gather all the required documents and head to the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow morning. They'll guide you through the process. Fewer people are getting married these days, so you won't have to wait in line. It'll be quick and easy."
