Married for Inheritance-Divorced for Freedom -
Chapter 8 Extra-ordinary Encounter
Hannah's life with her twin had settled into a leisurely pace. She had found a rhythm of work and motherhood, balancing her time between her successful company and cherishing moments with her children. The European design world had noticed Hannah's talent, and her company had become a prominent player. They called it one of the "500 Club" companies, a club of elite innovators in the industry. She took her children out for dinner each night and spent quality time with them.
One night, Becky asked her," Mommy, we love you so much, but can we visit Daddy?" Hannah was taken aback and took some time after taking a long breath to explain to Becky. "Rebecca, when you two were born, your daddy died in a plane crash." Becky and Ray began to cry. Hannah quieted them down by taking theme for ice cream.
Hannah loved designs so much that she ventured into car design. She particularly loved sleek sports cars. She gained significant publicity for her groundbreaking car designs and was known as the driving force behind the first European self- driven car. Hannah led her IT and Research and Development teams to create the most advanced and safe technology on the market. The innovation was unmatched, and people marvelled at what she had accomplished at her young age. She had two companies: the major fashion house in London and the other was her car design company. The most significant figures in each industry knew her designers. Rose.
However, the intrigue didn't stop there. One day, Hannah received an unexpected offer. A prestigious company in Seoul, South Korea, had heard of her prowess and begged her to design a luxury car exclusively for them. It was a tempting proposition that could take her career to even greater heights.
Hannah pondered the offer carefully, weighing the pros and cons. On the one hand, it was an opportunity to showcase her skills on a global scale and make substantial financial gains. On the other hand, it meant being away from Becky and Ray for extended periods, as she would have to travel frequently to Seoul for the project. She cherished every moment with her daughter and son and didn't want to miss out on watching them grow.
Taking a deep breath, Hannah realised that this decision required more than just her professional ambitions. It was about replaceing the right balance between her career and being a present parent. She called a family meeting and shared the offer with her loved ones, seeking their advice and support. Her manager told her she could go on the trip and that he would take care of the twins. Trevor and Hannah had invested all their saving into this project. He was the company's manager, but he was also the IT team. ShelTesigned, and he brought her designs to life.
Together, they explored the possibilities and discussed the potential impact on their lives. Hannah's best friend, who had always been her pillar of strength, encouraged her to follow her dreams and assured her the team would support Hannah in her absence.
Rebecca, wise beyond her years, sensing her mother's struggle, looked up at Hannah' and said, "Mommy, I know you love me, and I love you too. Follow your heart; I will always be here waiting for you. Uncle Trevor will take care of us." Tears welled up in Hannah's eyes as she hugged her daughter tightly. It was at that moment that she realised her decision. Knowing that Becky understood and supported her, she would embark on this new journey.
With renewed purpose, Hannah picked up the phone and called the company in Seoul. She accepted the offer, excited to take on the challenge and create another masterpiece. Her heart was filled with gratitude for the love and understanding within her family, and Hannah knew that with their support, she could navigate any obstacle that came her way.
While she was in Seol, she would have time to talk to the bride-to-be and get her approval of any changes in her wedding gown. She would kill two birds with one stone.
As Hannah ended the call, she felt a surge of determination. She had come a long way since the birth of her children. Now, with a flourishing career and a loving daughter and son, Hannah was ready to embrace the next chapter of her life, and she couldn't wait to see where the road would lead her next.
The following week, Hannah decided to take the children with her. She asked the children's nanny, Aunty Jack, to accompany them. They stood in the bustling airport, a mix of excitement and nerves coursing through her veins. She adjusted her grip on her children's tiny hands, marvelling at how much they had grown. The little girl's eyes sparkled with mischief, her curly hair bouncing with each step. The flight was long, and before they exited the airport, the twins said, "Mommy, can we use the washroom?" She turned around and hugged them as she ushered them to the washroom.
She stood next to the male washroom when Hannah noticed a young boy, around the same age as her daughter, approaching with his mother. It was as if time stood still momentarily as their eyes met. In that instant, Hannah felt a flicker of recognition, a connection beyond mere coincidence.
Their gazes locked as Rebecca stood beside her mother. The children exchanged mischievous grins. It was as if they understood, deep down, that they were somehow meant to be part of each other's lives. Hannah's heart fluttered with a mixture of hope and uncertainty, unable to ignore the striking resemblance between this girl and Darrian's son.
The young boy's mother seemed oblivious to the silent interaction between the children. She hurriedly ushered him into the bathroom, unaware of the significant moment unfolding before her eyes. Hannah hesitated, torn between following her instincts and respecting the boundaries of strangers.
But then, a surge of determination passed through her. She couldn't let this moment slip away. Hannah gently pulled her daughter towards the bathroom, her curiosity overriding any lingering doubts. As they entered, the children's eyes locked again, their smiles widening. Then Ray came up to his sister and patted her on her hand.
Hannah and the other mother exchanged polite smiles in the bathroom's confined space. They made small talk as the children giggled and played, their innocence contrasting with the whirlwind of emotions coursing through Hannah's mind. As Hannah watched her children and the boy eagerly exchange toys and secrets, she couldn't help but think about the extraordinary possibility before them. Could this be the missing puzzle piece, the missing link that would bring her back into Darrian's life? It seemed almost too good to be true.
But for now, Hannah knew she had to tread carefully, not wanting to disrupt the boy's life or the delicate balance they had all found. There were still questions to be answered, conversations to be had, and a future that needed to unfold its secrets.
With a heavy sigh, Hannah made a silent promise to herself and her daughter. She would replace a way, no matter the obstacles, to discover the truth and bring their lives together. This encounter in the airport bathroom would begin a beautiful, unexpected journey that would lead Hannah back to Darrian's loving embrace.
