Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 61

"That dirty woman?" Adam looked at Diandra as indifferently as if he were looking at a stranger. No one could tell that the two were a biological mother and son.

When Adam looked at Diandra, she was too guilty to look into his eyes.

She gave birth to him after a forty-week pregnancy. Because she had not cared for him much since he was a child, he was very indifferent to her. She could not even replace her influence on him.

"Is there anything you have done these years that is not dirtier than that of the woman? Anyone, except you, has the right to blame me. If you cause trouble for the people around me again, I don't mind teaching you a lesson in my way." With these words, Adam turned and went away. Diandra seemed too impatient to see Diandra for another

second.

"Adam, did you come here today just to warn me not to deal with your assistant?" Diandra was probing into her enigmatic son's attitude.

Adam didn't answer her, but Diandra still got the answer she was waiting for.

It seemed Adam had not heard the conversation between her and Jane just now. If he

had known that his wife and his assistant were the same person, he would not have

acted as he did.

Perhaps, he didn't like his assistant. He came to her because she interfered in his

matters.

His temperament was similar to hers. Even if he threw away his things, he would not give them to others.

As soon as Adam left, Diandra resumed her superior attitude. "Marcelo, he knows that

we are going to deal with his assistant. This matter must be handled without anyone noticing it, and we should not be involved."

Marcelo Lupton said respectfully, "Mrs. Hills, don't worry. I have already arranged the matter. The woman chose it for herself, so we will let her get out of Red Pine City most embarrassingly." When Lumma went back downtown, it was three o'clock in the afternoon.

She didn't know that on the way back, Adam drove his car and followed her not too far away, escorting her to the hotel.

Lumma got out of the car and calmed down silently. When she saw Leonard walking towards her, she immediately raised an impeccable smile. “Mr. Davies.”

Seeing her, Leonard immediately questioned her, "Lumma, we agreed to meet at the banquet hall at nine in the morning. Why are you here now? I have called you many times, but you didn't answer. Lumma had always been serious and responsible at work, and they had worked together for more than half a year. Leonard had never seen her be late.

When he didn't see her at half past nine today, he called her several times, but no one answered.

Leonard thought that Adam might have asked Lumma to do other things, so he didn't care about it anymore.

Seeing Lumma come back now, he couldn't help nagging for a while.

Lumma smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry. I've been delayed because of a private matter. Are all the guests here?"

"The guests are all here, but Mr. Hills hasn't arrived yet." Just as Leonard was speaking, he saw Adam's tall and straight figure.

It was speaking of the devil.

Fortunately, he didn't speak ill of Mr. Hills.

"Mr. Hills." Lumma and Leonard went up to greet Adam together.

Adam took a look at Lumma and walked straight in without saying anything.

Lumma and Leonard immediately followed him.

The banquet hall was brightly lit. Guests were talking, toasting, and dancing to the

music.

It was a business party rather than Adam's birthday party today. Businessmen who cooperated with Hills Group and those who wanted to cooperate with Hills Group had all come, and the rest of the guests were Adam's relatives and friends.

When Adam stepped into the hall, all conversations stopped. One after another, the guests said, “Happy Birthday, Mr. Hills.”

Adam spoke to the business partners one by one, followed closely by Lumma and Leonard. Two hours passed after they had greeted all the business partners.
