Chapter 604

"Alright, you're no longer needed," Charlie said to the maid.

He then went downstairs, sat in the living room, and asked someone to pour him a glass of water. Jonathan walked over and saw Charlie who was drinking water from a glass. He said, "Mr. Calsis, are you going to help the Camerons? If you don't do anything now, their reputation will keep getting worse. Plus, I can tell the other side has already hired a ton of people to comment against the Cameron's Group and control the public opinion."

The comments were focused on not letting the Lloyd incident go, as well as the donation thing. Although the Cameron's Group already made an announcement they had terminated their contract with Lloyd, unlike the court, there would neither be a judge to sentence them nor would the public care about evidence. People said whatever they wanted to say without caring about the truth of the incident at all. All they were doing were simply venting their emotions online!

From the looks of it, the direction the public opinion was headed for was comparable to how they had praised the Cameron's Group back then-they wanted the Cameron's Group to die alongside Lloyd.

Charlie said, "Anything from Theresa?"

"Nope."

"She really is not worried I see."

Charlie recalled how Theresa had begged him for her family in the past. Back then, she was willing to marry a cripple just so her family would not go bankrupt. What about now? Was she not worried or anxious at all?

Thinking that Theresa did not seem worried, Charlie did not want to entertain her as well. He said to

Jonathan, "I'll wait then."

Charlie wanted to see when she would come and look for him. He was quite angry with himself too. He did not want to see her face, whenever he thought of how cold and cruel that woman was, he wanted to cut all ties with her. Yet, deep down in his heart, he wished and looked forward to seeing her beg him. He had said before he would never give her another chance after the divorce, he just wanted to see if she regretted divorcing him!

Jonathan nodded. "Okay."

He was about to leave when Charlie said, "Wait."

Jonathan turned around, looked at Charlie, and asked, "Yes?"

"You got Cristina's number?" Charlie asked.

Jonathan's body froze for a second and said, "Mr. Calsis... are you planning to get together with Ms. Lagarde? It looked like her relationship with Mr. Oneill is quite unusual the last time they went ice skiing." Charlie never liked Cristina much, even though they had their children as the connection point, it was not a good idea if the two of them got together at this time no matter how one looked at it. At the very least, Eugene would not be happy about it. Plus, Charlie was most likely not the type of person to miss the big picture because of a woman!

Charlie knew exactly what Jonathan was thinking, so he said, "Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not interested in that woman. Leonard and Ben are with her, call her and ask if she's at home, tell her I'll be fetching my kids."

Now that he was back, of course, he had to fetch Leonard and Ben back. Otherwise, Theresa would accuse him of not caring about their kids! How was that true?

'Hehe...'

Charlie could not help but laugh at himself when he thought of that. They were already divorced, yet he still cared so much about the things she said!

She said he did not care about their children, so she was in a great hurry to take contraceptive pills right after the two of them had sex that night. It was as if she was horrified by the thought of bearing his child. Charlie would never forget Theresa's reaction that night.

She was the woman who knew how to humiliate him the most in the entire world!

Jonathan said, "Okay, I'll make a call right away."
