Chapter 608

She did not dare to tell anyone where she was exactly because she was afraid Charlie might come. looking for her. If Charlie knew she was the one who took the kids away, he would definitely search for her everywhere!

She replied, [You be careful too. In the worst case, tell him the truth if you need to.]

Theresa brought the kids to sleep after she finished messaging Cristina. At midnight, Leonard and Ben were already sound asleep, but she was still awake. She picked up her phone and looked at it. Thinking of the messages Cristina sent her, she was worried. She had no idea how things would turn out if Charlie. found out!

It was already 2 o'clock midnight, but apparently, Cristina was still awake as well and texted Theresa,

[Theresa, I think Charlie might be crazy!]

[What happened?]

[Hear this. It's freezing outside, and it's midnight, but he went to my home! My family was so shocked.]

[...]

Cristina's old home was in the mountains, it was hours of drive away, yet Charlie went there in the middle of the night? Theresa replied. [What did you tell him?]

[I told him I'm bringing the kids back home for the new year. I didn't think he'd go there! I never saw him

so concerned with the kids before.]

[...]

At this time, Charlie and Jonathan were in the car and on their way back.

Jonathan looked at Charlie, who was sitting at the back, and said, "Mr. Calsis, do you want to take a nap first?”

Charlie said, "Not sleepy."

They had just left Cristina's house. Cristina's father was surprised to see him and when he said he wanted to see the kids, Cristina's father said Cristina never came home, and there was no way had two kids! He even said Charlie was being crazy!

Apparently, even Cristina's family did not know about her kids? Otherwise, if her family saw the two kids who looked so similar to Charlie, they would definitely not react this way.

Jonathan said, "God knows what Ms. Lagarde is thinking. If she wants to keep the children, she could've just said so, why did she lie and make us travel so far for naught?"

After they found out Cristina's address, they drove there right away. Charlie wanted to take the kids back home as soon as possible, but clearly, this trip was meaningless. Charlie had a gloomy look on his face it was easy to tell how bad of a mood he was in.

When the two of them returned to the house, it was already late at midnight. Jonathan went to sleep first, stter all, he accompanied Charlie all night. Charlie returned to his room, took off his coat, and went to bed.

'Cristina Lagarde, hehe, she's dead!'

In the morning, Cristina left Eugene's house and headed to the office. Her holiday had yet to begin and she originally wanted to rest. However, her boss demanded she goes to the office to settle something from before. She had no choice so she came. Be that as it may, as soon as she opened the gate, she saw Jonathan standing at the door of her office, waiting for her.

Damn it!

She was mentally prepared for this but she tried her luck, she was worried her boss might be really looking for her.

When she saw Jonathan, almost instinctively, she wanted to run away, but when she turned around, she saw Charlie standing right behind her. Charlie's expression was cold. He was a handsome man, but right now he looked like the villain lord from a movie.

She smiled, pretended to be calm, and said, "Mr. Calsis, what are you doing in my office?"

Charlie looked at her. "Where are the kids?"

"At home."

"Take me there!" Charlie looked at her and said with a deep voice, "If you give the kids to me now nicely, I won't hold you responsible for what happened yesterday."

The meaningless trip Charlie made last night made him very impatient so he came here first thing today morning!

Cristina did not think this man would be so terrifying. She said, "I just want to spend the new year with the kids."
