Katherine was astonished. ‘Sold? Why did Julian sell the house without saying a word? Moreover, I can’t get through to him on the phone. What’s going on! I also didn’t hear anything about it at the gathering yesterday!

Katherine felt a pang of unease. Determined, she went to the school to check with the kindergarten teacher, hoping to replace out from Aiden what had happened. After all, if Julian could avoid her, could he not come to pick up and drop off Aiden for school?
