Master Head of the Dragon Soul -
Chapter 533 Valuable Reputation
"Hey! Watch your manners!" Zhou Yong was furious when he saw that Chu Feng had not learned his lesson.
Xu Yiming went over to comfort Zhou Yong, though not forgetting to take the chance to take a dig at Chu Feng. "You don't have to be too sad, Mr. Zhou. Some people just aren't worth crying for. Sigh..." "That's right! Isn't it ridiculous to claim he solved the problem with Hongtu Corporation for us? He's done nothing for us at all. It's all thanks to Yiming." Yu Hui chuckled coldly. "If he's so amazing that he can meet Li Hongtu personally, maybe he might get someone from Hongtu Corporation to come and apologize to us! What a joke!"
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
A man in a suit and gold-rimmed spectacles came into the room. He said politely, "Greetings. I am Gao Bin, and I am the vice chairman of Hongtu Corporation. The chairman, Mr. Li, has tasked me to hand over the new contract to Mr. Zhou. Hongtu Corporation has decided to yield 80 million dollars of profit. Please sign here, Mr. Zhou."
"Eight... Eighty million?" Zhou Yong's eyes widened with disbelief. The other guests also gasped in shock.
That was such a one-sided deal!
"Are... Are you sure it's 80 million dollars? You're not pulling our leg, right?" Zhou Yon said incredulously. Yu Hui flipped through the contract several times.
"Surely you're joking, Mr. Zhou. I wouldn't dare to pull your leg, considering your close relationship with Mr. Li. The 80-million-dollar profit is only an initial estimate. By the end of the project, your profit should be around 1.5 billion dollars!" Gao Bin said.
"One and a half billion dollars!" Zhou Yong exclaimed. Yu Hui let out a shriek and fell sitting on the floor.
Even Xu Yiming was confused. All he did was make a call to Li Hongtu's secretary, asking for a meeting. Was his reputation worth so much?
"I admit my colleagues had mistreated you before, and I hope you can forgive them. Let me toast you as an apology."
While everyone watched, the vice chairman of Hongtu Corporation poured a glass of liquor for Zhou Yong, then another for himself. Zhou Yong was in a daze as he clinked glasses with Gao Bin. Even after Gao Bin left the room, he was still unsure what was going on.
"Oh my, 80 million dollars, and one and a half billion dollars! You're our family's savior, Yiming!" Yu Hui said as she held Xu Yiming's hands. She was so excited that she could not speak in proper sentences! "Mr. Xu, you're a young prodigy!"
"Yes! You have a bright future, Mr. Xu. Even Mr. Li has to respect you!"
"We'll be relying on you from now on, Mr. Xu..."
The guests at the table thought the revised contract was Xu Yiming's doing. They took the opportunity to flatter him.
Xu Yiming was still confused. He wondered if he was really as influential as the other guests thought.
He was incredibly excited, as though what he thought would soon become true.
Despite feeling all giddy inside, he pretended to be humble. "Don't worry. There's nothing I can't ask from Mr. Li, heheh."
Zhou Li kissed Xu Yiming's cheek excitedly. "You're amazing, Yiming. I'm so lucky to be your girlfriend!" she said proudly.
Her chin was lifted high, and her demeanor was as arrogant as a swan.
Only an extraordinary individual like Xu Yiming deserved her love! On the other hand, Chu Feng, the country bumpkin who made a fool of himself, was nothing at all!
How dare Chu Feng think he stood a chance? Pah!
While everyone was celebrating the victory, Zhou Yong, the biggest winner in the deal, stood in front of the window, trying to process what was going on. "Why did Hongtu Corporation surrender so much profit?" he mumbled to himself.
Something happening at ground level caught his eye. When he saw what was going on, his eyes widened, and his jaw dropped!
Gao Bin, the vice chairman of Hongtu Corporation, was bowing to Chu Feng like a servant!
What... What's going on? Zhou Yong gasped.
