Master Head of the Dragon Soul -
Chapter 541 Shameless
To Li Hongtu, Chu Feng was the person who saved his life, so it was only natural for him to repay the debt of gratitude.
Not only that, but Chu Feng was also the famous "Mr. Chu" of Feng Yun Group. Li Hongtu had all the reasons to ensure Chu Feng was taken care of.
While Chu Feng chatted with Li Hongtu in the car, he received several messages from Zhou Yong.
"Feng, I realize I had been too harsh on you at lunch yesterday. I know you lied to us because you're eager to prove yourself, and I shouldn't have yelled at you in front of everyone else."
"Yiming and I have reserved a table at Hongbin Restaurant tonight for you and your family. Let's gather and have dinner."
"Mr. Li, where are we going?" Duo Duo, hugging a doll, asked Li Hongtu.
Li Hongtu smiled and replied, "We're going to have dinner at Hongbin Restaurant. My company owns the building, and I've reserved the entire restaurant just for our little princess here. Do you like it?" The little girl hopped around happily, which made the others laugh.
Chu Feng glanced at the messages and smirked. "Dinner tonight will be interesting."
Half an hour later, Chu Feng and the others arrived at Hongbin Restaurant. Li Hongtu suddenly received a call, and he had to excuse himself to deal with an emergency. He promised he would be back in twenty minutes.
Chu Feng told him not to worry about it because it was not dinner time anyway. He decided he would bring his parents and Duo Duo around the place.
Hongbin Restaurant was in the middle of a bustling commercial area. The sun was almost setting, and the neon lights were turned on. It was a majestic sight.
Zhou Ying and Duo Duo were taking photos at the fountain when a luxurious seven-seater SUV stopped somewhere nearby. Soon, Xu Yiming, dressed in a Givenchy suit, stepped out of the car. He helped Zhou Yong and his wife out.
"Mr. and Mrs. Zhou, Hongbin Restaurant is one of the flagship properties of Hongtu Corporation. It's full every day, and it's almost impossible to reserve a table without pulling some strings," Xu Yiming said smugly. "Of course, I'm good friends with Mr. Li of Hongtu Corporation, and I don't need a reservation. There's always a private room prepared for us."
"Thank you so much, Yiming," Zhou Yong said. He seemed worried. "I was thinking that Lie and the others are family, so we don't have to spend so much money on treating them to dinner..." Zhou Yong knew that Zhou Lie was not as well off as he was. If he treated Zhou Lie to a lavish meal, Zhou Lie's self-esteem might be hurt.
"We have to! You wouldn't want them to think that you're a miser, do you?" Yu Hui said. She was dressed in a fur coat and a pair of oversized sunglasses, and she looked like a celebrity. "There's nothing wrong in treating Zhou Lie and his family to something nice. It's also a chance to show Chu Feng how much better Yiming is compared to him. If he wants us to believe he's a wealthy person, he'll have to show us the money."
Zhou Li also lifted her chin and scoffed smugly.
Xu Yiming was already fantasizing about how Chu Feng would react when he arrived. It would feel so good to be able to one-up that country bumpkin again.
How dare that guy say he's the mysterious Mr. Chu of Feng Yun Group and he's good friends with Mr. Li? He ought to see how much of a poor loser he is!
Zhou Yong shook his head and gave up on convincing the others.
Very soon, Chu Feng and the others bumped into Zhou Yong and his family.
"Hey! Isn't that Yong?"
"Yong!"
"Lie!" Zhou Yong quickly ran over and hugged his brother tightly. They had not met each other for a long time.
"What a coincidence, Yong! Are you here to have dinner too?" Liu Minglan said happily. "Feng is bringing us to Hongbin Restaurant for dinner. We didn't expect to meet you here too." Zhou Yong's expression sank.
Did Chu Feng tell them he's playing host tonight? How shameless! Doesn't this poor loser know his place?
