"Bro, I'll get through this."

Brielle had regained her strength, her face glowing with determination.

"Until I uncover the truth, I won't let myself fall apart again. Plus, Max left me a number; he probably has some secret connections."

Brielle was genuinely bouncing back. She knew she had to dive into the investigation without delay. The Lynch family had showered her with so much care; it was time she took on some responsibilities.

Her brother had been searching for her for years, pulling every string he could. Now that she was back, she couldn't be a burden any longer. The weight shouldn't just fall on his shoulders. After all, she was Brielle.

Dustin watched her transformation, a satisfied smile creeping onto his face.

"Get some good sleep tonight. Aubree and Keiran might stick around for a couple more days before they leave. Maybe you can catch up with friends. Your recent state had us all worried, especially Aubree. She was practically whispering on the phone." Brielle lowered her lashes. "I understand."

She headed upstairs to rest.

Dustin watched her ascend, his heart finally settling down.

He quickly dialed Raymond, who, despite his tough exterior, seemed jittery and paced back and forth.

"Are you sure? She's okay? So, can I come see her now? Lil' J, you've been keeping me at bay. Be honest, are you trying to hog your sister all to yourself?"

Dustin rubbed his temple, a slight frown on his forehead.

"Dad, she might not be ready to face you yet. Maybe start with sending her some gifts, cheer her up. Let's take it slow on the meeting."

"But your grandma already went to see her, didn't she?"

Raymond sounded almost whiny, a sight that would astonish anyone familiar with his usual stern demeanor.

"Dad, you can visit, but remember how you only managed to get her ring discounted before?"

That silenced Raymond instantly.

"That ring was part of her and Max's matching set. Now that Max is gone, and she revisited that counter, do you think she'll remember you only got a discount?"

Dustin's logic was a bit off since Raymond hadn't known she was his daughter at the time. Given the first impression, getting a discount was already a big gesture. But the Lynch family's affection for Brielle knew no bounds; they wanted to give her the world.

Raymond was filled with regret and agreed to hold off on the visit.

Dustin chuckled after hanging up. It wasn't that he genuinely wanted to prevent the meeting, but he knew his sister well. She was just starting to regain her spirit, largely driven by Max. Dwas best to let her momentum carry her through her desires, while their father had other crucial roles to play within the Lynch family.

That night, Brielle slept soundly.

The next morning, Aubree called her, suggesting they meet up.

Aubree had been anxious before extending the invitation, fearing she'd replace Brielle even more diminished.

But when Brielle showed up, Aubree's eyes widened, then she couldn't help but envelop her in a hug, her eyes brimming with tears.

Aubree had been tormented by the

vision of Brielle's departure, her heart aching at the thought. Now that Brielle was back and looking better, Aubree's excitement was palpable.

"Bri!"

After hugging her, Aubree stomped her feet in relief.

"You haven't lost more weight. I'm so relieved. I was looking for you last night, but the venue was massive. I heard you left early."

Indeed, the venue for last night's

gala was sprawling, and without any noteworthy reputation, Aubree found it challenging to inquire about Brielle, wandering aimlessly until she discovered Brielle had already left. Then, the North American çirèles and Beaconsfield erupted with discussions about Brielle's identity.

Aubree remembered Alivia, the instigator, her face darkening with anger.

"That witch Alivia! I can't believe she had the nerve to show her face in North America. But after last night, she'll probably struggle to fit in anywhere."

Mistaking someone else for Desiree's grandma and thinking she was the long-lost granddaughter, only to turn out to be a caregiver, was a massive embarrassment. Aubree, hiding behind her sunglasses, recounted Alivia's debacle with animated flair.
