The door swung open as a servant hurried forward to greet the returning young master with a shout.

"Master Raymond, you're back."

Raymond quickly shifted his attention back to the newspaper he was pretending to read.

The Lynch family's butler, Seamus, was a sprightly seventy-year-old who commanded the respect of all the household staff. After all, it was Seamus who had arranged everything for them when they first arrived at the mansion. Rumor had it that Seamus was an old acquaintance of the Lynch family patriarch, which earned him considerable respect, especially since the patriarch had passed away too soon.

Dustin nodded, raising his eyes to meet those of Raymond, who was lounging on the couch.

"Dad, have you found out anything about Mom?" His tone carried a hint of accusation as he personally fetched Brielle her shoes.

Brielle remained silent, her gaze resting on the eldest person present.

Seamus looked as sharp as ever, a testament to his shrewdness. He approached, first ensuring Dustin was unharmed, before addressing Brielle.

"Miss, it's good to see you back."

For some reason, Brielle couldn't shake off the feeling that Seamus might have had access to videos about her or even been manipulating her life from the shadows, sending shivers down her spine.

Yet, in Seamus's presence, she felt strangely confident, merely nodding at him before turning to Raymond.

Raymond had been eager to see her, but his son had insisted on him playing the tough guy, so he let out a cold huff.

"You're half an hour late. Come sit down, kiddo. I'm just as worried about your mom. I've sent a number of people out looking for her, and the lack of news is troubling."

Raymond's face darkened when he mentioned Sarah. His love for her was no secret. Ever since Sarah had become frail over her daughter's issues, Raymond had started grooming Dustin as his successor early on. Sarah had been consumed with replaceing her daughter, a mission she had entrusted to Dustin even before he was of age.

But with Sarah missing for over two months, her whereabouts remained a mystery.

As Raymond spoke of Sarah, he inadvertently neglected his daughter, who was visiting for the first time. This wasn't his intention, as he had discussed playing out this scenario with his son beforehand.

The family gathered at the dinner table, but Raymond didn't inquire about Brielle, focusing instead on discussing Sarah's disappearance with Dustin.

Perhaps the matter was indeed distressing him, for he eventually set his silverware down.

"I've lost my appetite. You all enjoy your meal."

His demeanor towards his daughter was unmistakably cold.

Dustin, knowing his father well, figured he must be struggling to maintain his facade and needed a moment alone.

Dustin had already ensured the mansion was secure, with surveillance cameras installed only in the main hall on the ground floor, leaving the rest of the house free from prying eyes.

As soon as Raymond excused himself, Seamus stepped in to mediate.

"Miss, don't take it to heart. Raymond's just struggling to adjust his emotions."

Brielle continued her meal quietly, smiling slightly at Seamus's words.

"I'm not upset."

Relieved, Seamus excused himself to prepare soup for her.

Turning his head, Dustin offered Brielle a few words of comfort. Just as Seamus returned with the soup, Dustin mentioned how his father's attitude had spoiled his appetite, suggesting they go out to eat instead. "Let's go say goodbye to Dad. I bet you're not keen on staying here tonight either."

"Brother, I'd rather not. I don't feel close to him, and it seems like he doesn't like me much either."

Her words, spoken with a cool detachment, were overheard by Seamus, who made a half-hearted attempt to stop them but ultimately watched them leave.

Once they were gone, Seamus stood at the door, his expression darkening.

He retreated to his room, a space filled with a computer and several hidden devices. Being the elder of the household, no one dared to intrude without knocking.

Recently, the informants he had

placed around Dustin had been

systematically removed, a testament to the young man's ruthlessness. However, Seamus was unfazed; years of scheming couldn't be undone by the actions of a youth he had watched grow up

Logging onto a computer, he made contact with an associate.

"Ronald, King has arrived here too. Has the situation in Saudi been handled?"

An aged voice responded from the other side.

"More importantly, shouldn't we be investigating the relationship

between Isaac and Max? With their striking resemblance, could King actually be Max? After years of

planning, to have him eaet

our

nose, assuming this identity and playing the fool - doesn't that seem like a failure?"

Seamus's expression turned awkward.

"Elder, I too was surprised by Isaac's appearance, but King is a figure of authority in Saudi. How could he possibly be Max? Max already has DreamTech Designs, and we've nearly mapped out all his covert

operations. If he can jung

Saudi on top of that, is he even human?"
