"Hey babe, did my ace in the hole impress you or what?" Irene's eyes sparkled with amusement as she rested her chin in her hand, looking up at him. Kenzo's hand lingered in her hair, "Yeah." Feeling a bit tipsy, Irene slowly lay back, sprawling across the bed. "As long as you're happy. I knew you'd be thrilled about this." Kenzo didn't respond; he just walked over to the window and stared out at the sky. After snoozing for about fifteen minutes, Irene woke up and saw him still standing by the window. She asked in a hoarse voice, "Aren't you coming to bed?" "That Jaired you mentioned last time, who is he?" Given that Colton wasn't the boss around here, but Irene was, she clearly knew who this guy was. She got up, her feet touching the floor, bare but for the carpet beneath them. She wrapped her arms around Kenzo from behind. "Want to meet him?"

"He's not another lover of yours, is he?" Irene chuckled, her shoulders shaking, "Not this time." As her laughter faded, a glimmer of tears flashed in her eyes. "He'll definitely show up tonight, given the mess we're in. My Jaired, he's something else. And yes, he's only mine." Before Irene could finish, a man's voice came from outside. "Mr. Kenzo, the man you had me press for information is ready to spill. Do you still want to hear it?" It was surprising that Myles had lasted this long under such harsh interrogation. At the time, Kenzo needed him to reveal the intricate details between Brielle and King, but now, with the war underway, that was no longer necessary. All he needed was to catch Brielle and get to that kid. But he needed Myles's hypnosis skills, so the guy had to stay alive. "Keep him alive. Don't kill him." As his words faded, there was a brief silence outside, followed by a few knocks on the door. Hearing this secret knock, Irene's eyes lit up, "Honey, my Jaired is here." She let go of Kenzo's waist, sat on a nearby chair, and called out to the visitor, "Come in." The door swung open, and as Kenzo stood by the window, the sight of the man who entered turned his world upside down. He had anticipated everything except for the identity of Jaired. Jaired, seeing the man by the window, greeted him with a smile, "Congratulations, Mr. Kenzo. A match made in heaven, you've got yourself a gem." Even Kenzo, with his deep thoughts, was struck by the sight of Jaired. He frowned slightly, as if seeing him for the first time.

Back when Jaired was courting Alivia, he made it so public, his affection was so deep that it moved everyone in Beaconsfield. It turns out, it was all an act. A farcical play. Kenzo chuckled lightly, his hands propped against the window sill. "I really didn't see this coming." Jaired had now made himself comfortable next to Irene, casually sitting down. "Yeah, me neither. But then again, with you, I'm not surprised. I've never been able to figure you out." Irene grabbed his hand, "Jaired, the Alivia you chased in Beaconsfield, she's at the base now."

Jaired pinched her chin playfully, "I gave her a chance to be a lapdog, but she didn't cherish it. Now, she's been discarded by Kenzo. Telling me this, what, you want me to swoop in and rescue her from those men? Irene, wasn't it you who threw her to the wolves?" Irene's fingertips pressed against Jaired's chest, pushing him away. "Poor Miss Jin. Oh well, she chose her path. If she could please someone else, they'd give her anything she desired." She finished, lifting her chin proudly, "Jaired, this is my husband. And now, you're one of the two who knows your true face." Jaired looked towards Kenzo, who was also observing him. Just like before, Jaired had no clue what was going through his mind.
