Aubree was spot on-Max was in agony.

On one hand, he was terrified that if Brielle found out he had decided to terminate the pregnancy without her input, she would despise him. On the other, he dreaded revealing the truth now, worried it would shatter her already fragile state of mind. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, every decision feeling like stepping into a minefield. To top it off, his migraines made each day an ordeal of tearing pain.

"Mr. Dorsey, Bri just went public with your relationship on Twitter. Don't you think you should acknowledge it?"

Max, about to massage his temple, paused at those words, his brow furrowing-clearly, this was news to him. Aubree looked surprised. The internet was buzzing with the news, and Max hadn't heard a whisper of it? "Because you haven't responded publicly, some folks are saying Brielle's practically throwing herself at you."

Online commenters could be relentless, dissecting Brielle's every move. After all, Brielle's success was soaring-tied to the meteoric rise of Stellar Stage Entertainment. As the company reached new heights, so did she. Her detractors scrutinized her life through a magnifying glass, eager to pinpoint any flaw they could exploit. Before, people admired her for rejecting Max's advances. Now, with Max's star waning, Brielle's sudden public acknowledgment had the rumor mill spinning-was she being too forward? "I don't have Twitter."

His voice was nonchalant, but as he finished speaking, he pulled out his phone. Aubree raised an eyebrow, puzzled.

"But Bri's only tweeted a few times, and one of those interactions was with you, right?"

Max genuinely wasn't into social media. Patrick had tried to show him the ropes once, and now he only just managed to send emojis in chats with Brielle. As for Twitter, he scrolled through the few apps on his phone, which were mostly just the standard ones that came with the system, plus WhatsApp, which he used to talk to Brielle. His WhatsApp contacts were limited, his digital footprint minimal.

"Mr. Dorsey, I was just speaking off the cuff. Bri is adamantly opposed to discussing the child. I can't get through to her. I've never seen her so fixated on something. I doubt you could either. We should consider other options."

Her tone grew somber. "She's lost a lot of weight."

Max froze at her words. Only he, who had been by Brielle's side daily, knew the agony of watching someone you love waste away. Every additional day with the child was a burden on Brielle's health. Now that even Aubree noticed, Max knew he had to make a decision. Deep hypnosis seemed to be the

only viable solution.

"Yeah."

He lowered his lashes, redownloading Twitter.

After Aubree left, Max returned to Premier Palace. Entering the living room, he found Brielle lost in thought on the sofa. Every step Max took felt like treading on a knife-edge, and there were moments he felt he might collapse under the pain. Yet, he approached Brielle. "Aubree came to see you, didn't she cheer you up? I hear she's quite the sensation now."

At the mention of Aubree, Brielle's gloom lifted. She eagerly grabbed her phone and scrolled through Twitter to show Max Aubree's follower count.

"Look, she's got fifteen million followers now. Impressive, right?"

Her voice was filled with pride. "And Ricardo, his following is growing fast too. Remember when Aubree and Keiran were paired up for a while? His followers shot up by millions. Ricardo had no fan base to start with, but now he's at thirteen million, with luxury brands lining up for endorsements."

Brielle could go on forever about the friends she had helped rise to fame. A flush of excitement colored her pale cheeks. Max wrapped his arms around her. "Aubree said you gave me a title on Twitter?"

Brielle tensed. She had impulsively tweeted after the movie's box office success, unable to bear the criticism aimed at Max. She hadn't told Max not expecting Aubree to spill the beans Max didn't use Twitter, so as long as she kept quiet, he would never replace out-Patrick certainly wouldn't bother him with such trivial matters.

"Brielle, I'm really happy."

The joy that welled up from within him, for a moment, overshadowed the pain in his head.
