Mated To The Twin Alpha Heirs -
Made To Believe
"What?!" That was a chorus from everyone in the room excluding the twins.
I gaped at Baron and Aaron, hoping that one of them could actually tell me they were joking. What was the meaning of this? What were they talking about?
"What are you both talking about?" I asked them, a big, confused frown on my face.
Aaron sighed and looked away. Baron sat in the chair in my room, he refused to meet my stare. I had a very crazy day and just when I thought I could not face something more alarming, they came in with this. "Baron, say something. What is the meaning of this? Is this true?" I looked at him.
"What if I say he's trying to use this to get to you? To make you forget how he abandoned and treated you awfully just so he could get what he suddenly wanted." Baron said, his smirk was back. "What he wanted?"
"You, Katherina. Somehow, he now realizes he wants you and is now ready to be what he should have been all along." Baron continued, sneering at his brother.
What Baron said was making quite the sense. I removed my hands from Zach's and Lucas's hold. They looked surprised. I was not going to let them fool me again.
"Don't listen to him, Katherina. This is what he wants, to use you to get to him. My intentions toward coming back to you are pure, I promise you that." Aaron tried to explain to me.
"Are you sure? So I should just what? Take you back into my fold. To hug and give you a welcome kiss. Why? Why do you deserve it? What have you done to deserve it?" I was getting angrier by the minute.
Aaron thought he could just waltz into my life after leaving it for so long. He never believed me. He accused me of stealing a phone. He called me a phone thief.
"I know..." Aaron began to speak but I cut him off.
"Save it Aaron." I hated that my voice was shaky and I was crying but I could not control the barrage of emotions overwhelming me. I could not. He had hurt me. He had given others the opportunity to bully and insult me. If not for the presence of Baron, what would have become of me? Who knew what I would have gone through?
"But..." He tried again.
"I said I don't want to hear it, Aaron. You called me a thief. You accused me before the whole class, even the whole school now saw me as a thief. I came to each and everyone of you, I knocked on your doors individually for help but you all chased me away. None of you listened to me." I covered my mouth as sobs broke through.
Lucas wanted to come close but I moved away from the bed and stood close to the wall. Baron came and held me, I let him. I was already used to him. He was the only person who had helped me survive these terrible times. "Shh. It's okay." Baron soothed.
I raised my head, and stared at them in great sadness and disbelief. "So this is why you all came to my room? To pretend to be my friends again so you can probably do worse?" "That is not it, I swear." Lucas said.
But I could not believe him. They had treated me worse the first time, who knew what they had planned for me this second time. I was not going to allow myself be their fool again. "I don't believe you. And to think I almost believed you guys again. To think that I have missed you and was ready to let you back into my life without giving you guys a hard time but you came here with the intention of the lies Aaron just spewed just to get me back. I am disgusted." I cried more, Baron was there to hold me.
What was happening? Why was all this events playing out in just a day? What was wrong actually? Was I some kind of curse? Destined to go through every bad event, to never be truly happy? The room was silent except for the sound of my sob. "Maybe you all should leave. She needs space." Baron told them.
"It's not in your place to tell us that. If there's anyone to leave it should be you. You're not welcome anywhere near this pack." Zach spat at Baron.
"And since you belong here, where were you when Katherina needed you the most? This fight was not even between me and the rest of you. It is between me and Aaron but you decided to pick sides and add Katherina to the mix, how shameful!" He was angry. His voice reverberated with the anger. "Do anyone of you know the pain your public accusation cost her? Are you aware of how much bully she'd had to endure. Even your precious brother's girlfriend insulted her and he could do nothing, you were there and you did nothing!" He bellowed.
"Watch your words, Baron. Katelyn is not my girlfriend."
"Really?" Baron's chuckle was short and sharp. "She's not your girlfriend? Yet you allowed her insult Katherina and even called her a thief. What did you do when I asked you to caution her? What did you do? Or rather what did you say?" He pulled me along with him as he glared coldly at his twin brother. "Tell me, you insensitive bastard!"
Memory of that day was fresh in my mind. I could not forget how Aaron had actually agreed with Katelyn calling me a phone thief. He met gaze with me and I looked away.
"Please, you all should leave." I told them. "I want to be alone."
"You heard her, leave everyone of you." Baron commanded.
Slowly, the boys all filed out of my room. Except for Baron. I was in need of his very comforting and reassuring presence.
