Mated To The Twin Alpha Heirs -
The Guy knows
"You look nice, girlfriend." I met gaze with him, taking note of his charming smile. I was propelled to react, to smile back but I did not want to be their fool again.
They had done enough to make me realize I needed to be careful with people and to stand for myself. Changing my dress in the bathroom had given me time to think of what had just happened this night. It was very late, while others were asleep, we were busy trying to fight off perverted pro like Greg and his friend, Bryan.
Drama just never seemed to end with the Salvatore boys. If this was what living with boys looked like, then I was in for years of constant drama and unnecessary face offs. "Thank you." I replied.
He nodded, I watched as his gaze roamed the room. "I know we are all confused by what had happened this night?"
"Sorry to interrupt, but where are the guys?" I asked.
"They have been tied and locked in the room, no one will replace them there." Baron said.
I smiled at him, I caught Aaron's jealous gaze. "You may continue." I told Lucas, making sure to avoid Aaron's eyes.
"Alright. I never knew what those boys names were but I received a message from the one who introduced himself as Dennis."
"Dennis?" I was surprised. Who was Dennis?
"Yes, the taller one of the two. The blonde guy I pounced on first."
I sighed. "That is Greg."
"He told me his name is Dennis when I asked, and yes, he did not send it in our text but he called and that was once."
"Why did you not tell us?" Zach inquired.
"That was my mistake but I had plans of telling you guys but after Katherina had met her brother."
"Brother?" We all chorused. I was extremely shocked, where was all these lies sprouting from?
"That was what the scumbag told me." He sighed. "I feel so stupid right now, not believing I could actually believe things this guy told me."
"So what happened next? How did the conversation progress?" This was from Aaron.
As usual, Trenton was still his quiet self but he was listening, I could see that his interest had piqued. He was always going to be the same guy who rarely talked and always acted like he did not care but deep down, I knew he did. He was so different from the rest of the Salvatore boys. So different but then again, I could not point out the difference.
"I was surprised when he told me he was Katherina's brother. She never told us she had a brother, and I told him that. He said they were not close and that it was all his fault. Said he wanted to make amends and see his mother, ask for forgiveness." He brought his phone out of his pocket and dropped it on the bed. "You guys know my passcode, unlock it yourself so you don't say I deleted something. Go through our chats, I even had him saved as Dennis." Baron was the first to grab the phone. "But I don't know your passcode."
"You do." Lucas said.
Baron looked at him, frowning a bit in puzzlement. "Are you sure?"
"It's the same one you know dude, just open the phone. We never chased you out of the family, you did so yourself." Zach said.
For the first time, ever since I've known him, Baron ignored his brother, refusing a clap back and proceeded to unlock the phone. I saw surprise register on his face before he made it blank again. I became curious to know what the passcode they all seem to share was.
But I was also quite relieved that they still saw him as one of them, they just needed to clear the air on their differences and stop trying to kill each other anytime they met.
"He's saying the truth. Saved the guy's name as Dennis." Baron read out, his hand scrolling the phone. "The guy begged Lucas to help reconnect Katherina with him. At first, Lucas refused from what I'm seeing here. But after much pleading, Lucas agreed and gave him address of the school. Said he should come replace him there and he, that is Lucas, will take this Greg or Dennis..."
"His real name is Greg, not Dennis." I confirmed.
"Okay. Greg to see Katherina." Baron kept his gaze steady on the phone as though there was nothing he wanted to miss.
"Yes, and I agreed to that because I wanted to see this guy myself, even show him to the rest to know if he had any evil motive towards Katherina before exposing her to him."
"Did you give him our house address? He might have known you're a Salvatore, probably. But still." This was from Zach.
"No, why would I do that? I only told him to come to the school. That is an open place. And no, I don't think he knew I was a Salvatore." Lucas said in his defense.
"Then who gave him my number?" That was another question that needed answering. My gaze wandered the room, noting the different expressions masking the boys' faces.
"I surely did not." Lucas clarified, raising his hands to show his innocence.
"Let me see your phone, Katherina." Zach extended his hand to me.
"What for?"
"He texted you, right?"
I nodded. "Yes, he did."
"Then we'll need your phone." He insisted.
"Trenton beside you." I was seated on the single sofa in my room while Baron and Aaron took the other big one, but they both sat at the end of both sides of the sofa. I pointed at my phone lying beside Trenton. He was occupying my bed with Lucas and Zach just like old times.
He took the phone and handed it to me, I unlocked it and passed it back to him and he gave it to Zach. He went through my phone and was soon showing the whole room the last messages on my phone. "The guy used an unknown number to send her three different messages, all reading the same thing." He faced the phone to himself. "Meet me by the lake, close to the mansion or I'll tell the Alpha the crime you committed. Twelve o'clock. Don't come with anyone." "This guy knows."
