What is going on here?" The loud voice pulled me out of my sleep.

I stretched and yawned, blinking my eyes open. The light was on and I had to shield my eyes from its brightness. I was not in my room, that was the first thing I noticed. But my brain quickly walked me down memory lane. We had picked here to avoid going to school.

I wanted to sleep more. I laid back down but I was a pull by my left leg spoiled that plan and caused annoyance to brew instantly. "I want to sleep a bit more." "Get up there, Katherina May Salvatore!"

Mom? I sat upright and stare into her annoyed face. The boys? My eyes roamed the length of the room to see that Trenton was up already. Baron too. Zach and Lucas seemed to be unperturbed by the noise. I turned to my side, Aaron was just waking as well.

I watched mom lift the small pail of water, scooped some in her palm and dripped them on Zach and Lucas, but Lucas only muttered something incomprehensible and went back to sleep, Zach just changed his sleeping position. It was a funny sight.

"These boys." Mom gritted her teeth in determination. Keeping the bucket where she had taken it from, she pulled both their legs until their butts landed to the fall with a thud. "Ouch." Lucas cried in pain, rubbing his backside.

"What's going on?" Zach remained on the floor, looking upset and ready to fight whoever that was disrupting his sleep. He opened his eyes and saw it was mom, he rubbed his eyes.

As though he was just realizing who it was, he met her gaze again. "How did you get in here? Who told you of this room?"

"It took me two hours to search the whole house for you guys. The moment I found out from your personal maids that none of you were in your rooms, I knew you wanted to play a smart one. Now, get up!"

"Wait, you said personal maids?" I asked mom.

"Yes." She snapped. She seemed pissed. We had made her go through the stress of searching the whole room.

"Melissa?" I wanted to confirm. It was ages and I was yet to see her, I wondered why. But she did not like me, she never really did so there was no need.

"Of course, who else was assigned to you? Stop trying to go off topic." She narrowed her gaze at me. "As the only girl in the midst of boys, you should be the responsible one. Boys are known for their rascality and truancy, you should lead them right not indulge in their innate wildness with them." She wagged a finger at me.

"Mom, you gave us just two hours to prepare for school. That was impossible, we would end up sleeping in class. Total waste of energy dressing up for school." I tried to reason with her.

But the glare she gave me shut me up instantly. "Now, all of you, get up and go to your rooms."

"Oh thank you so much mom. We can sleep..."

"And prepare for school." She eyed Lucas, cutting off his hopes for the opportunity to close his eyes again.

Groans were heard, even from me too. But we all matched to our rooms. I got to mine, the bed was so tempting. I told myself it was just for five minutes. Just minutes and I'll be up, dressing for school. Moreover, now that things were alright with the guys and I, they always came to my room to call me when they were ready. So, they would come. With that thought in mind, I quickly checked the time on my phone that had slept alone on my bed, it was ten minutes past eight. Did mom not sleep? Removing the thought from my mind, I closed my eyes and was instantly driven into la-la land.

A hand was tapping me. I shifted away from it and tried to sleep again.

"Wake up, girlfriend. It's urgent."

"Go away, boyfriend." I knew it was him but my brain was yet to discern something else.

"The boys are no longer in the room." He said, still shaking me awake.

"It's true, hot legs." That was Zach.

"What boys?"

"Greg and what's his..."

He did not need to mention the second person. The name 'Greg' was enough to jerk me awake. I sat upright, sleep had vanished, replaced by panic.

"What? How come?" I was already out of bed, I hurried to the bathroom, washed my mouth and face. I would take my bath later, this was serious issue. Had they escaped? Or someone had found them?

"We went to the room after Trenton had come to our rooms to tell us he could not replace the boys there." Zach informed, as I washed my face. He stood at the doorway of the bathroom

"How did he know about that?" I asked.

"We did not have time to ask him, we hurried downstairs and saw it was true." He replied.

"And what's worse is we don't know where they are." Lucas put in.

"What about the rest?" I was asking of Baron, Aaron and Trenton.

"They are still trying to see if they can catch them. We think they might have escaped."

I came out, heading for the door. "Escape? But we tied them."

They both shrugged. They had no idea who might have untied the boys or if they untied themselves.

"Let's go out and try to replace the rest." We walked out of my room, but not before I went back to take my phone. I checked the time, past nine. Mom's plan had not worked. No more school. I briefly wondered if she was aware we were still in this house. I just hoped she and dad had eventually gone for some Alpha-Luna duties.

We bounded down the stairs. We saw Aaron and Trenton. No Baron. I ran to them. "Have you seen him?"

"Yes, but not in the good way." The somber look on Aaron's face made me swallow.

"What do you mean by that?"
