"What did you just say?" Aaron was not smiling and from his stance, he was poised for a fight.

"I said that I love Katherina." Baron repeated, his brow raised challengingly.

"Are you trying to annoy me right now?" Aaron stood. Baron followed suit.

"He's joking." I quickly stood to get to their middle before they did worse than they had done to themselves before.

"No, I'm not. I love you." He repeated.

"What?!" I swallowed. Blinked a thousand times to make sure I was not dreaming. What the hell was wrong with Baron? Why did he always like to complicate things? What was his issue?

"You heard me." Forgetting I was supposed to not allow them fight, I stood still as a statue, rooted to my spot, studying Baron's expression. What was wrong with him? I could not tell if he was saying the truth or joking.

I observed his expression, it was holding nothing serious. It was quite unreadable, I groaned within me, this boy was a living, walking and breathing emblem of exasperation. I just could not get to understand him probably especially when he was behaving like this.

Or was he just trying to get under Aaron's skin? Was he trying to annoy Aaron? He held my hand.

"Stop talking too much Aaron. I'm holding her, what will you do?" He challenged.

Aaron took hold of my other hand. "Let her go!"

"Make me, Aaron." Baron sneered.

Zach came to pull me off of them. "If you guys want to settle your differences, fucking do it without putting her in the midst of your stupid fire because nobody's going to get burned for you selfish two." Wow! That was something. No, that was more than something. That was everything! For the first time, Zach actually commented on their feud which was brilliant to me.

"Exactly! Stop using me as a weapon to threaten each other. You have issues, settle it! I was not here when it started. I have no idea what caused this issue. You both have no right to dangle me as though I was some puppet." I screamed at them.

No one saw It coming but it happened. Mom had come out of the kitchen with two wooden spatulas and she used them on the boys. They, without warning, broke their fight and fled in different directions.

I was upset before but that made me fall to the ground in laughter. Oh Mother of the Moon! Could this day get any stranger? Aaron and Baron glared at each other from afar, but because of mom, they would not dare fight.

"I see the both of you go at each other like that next time, I would send the guards to pummel you two to a pulp." Mom threatened.

"Nice one, honey." Dad commented. Though he was laughing, but he seemed to be tired of their constant butting of heads. These two guys, behaving like bulls fighting over one cow. Well, I was not going to be their cow. Did Baron truly love me? Or had he said that to annoy Aaron? I sighed. With that boy, one could never tell, he could mean one thing while he was saying another thing entirely.

"Breakfast is ready." Mom disappeared into the family's private kitchen and brought out food. Ever since mom had taken over as the new Luna, she barely allowed the maids cook since she preferred we used the family's private quarters more than the other one.

And mom was big on family time. The family's private quarters had everything in it, and she did not want anyone, not even the guards or maids were allowed in here. It was just for the eight of us, the place was more than enough for eight persons.

She began bringing it in to the table, Lucas stood up to help. She appreciated him and promised to get his something later, while she glared at the rest of us. It was always her cooking and serving us breakfast. I did not bother helping because she would send me back, saying she no longer needed me.

Soon, we all gathered round for breakfast. Cinnamon rolls, bacons, eggs and other morning delicacies spread the table. Mom loved cooking, she had outdone herself yet again. Breakfast was really good.

This morning had started out as though a lot of things were going to be messy, but the only messy event had been when Baron and Aaron wanted to fight, thankfully, mom's kitchen spatulas had come to the rescue. I raised my head from my breakfast to cast a look at both of them, they have Zach and Trenton between them which was better.

They both seemed to be enjoying their breakfast. Good for them both.

"So no school today?" Mom looked round the table.

"There's always tomorrow." Zach replied.

"What will you guys be doing home today?" She asked us. I looked at dad, he had pulled himself out of the conversation and was enjoying his breakfast.

"We would want to release those guys." Trenton shrugged.

Mom smiled hugely at him. She was trying to be extra sweet to him, to give him the love he had lost for those young years of his life. "I'm sorry to turn you down honey, but no." "Why?" He looked at her.

"The decision on what to do to them should be left to the adults of the house." She told him.

"No one's a minor here." Lucas put in.

"I don't mean..." Mom groaned, eyeing dad because he was not even interested in the conversation. "Darling, some help here." She nudged dad.

He raised his head up, sipped his coffee and cleared the throat. "Your mother and I will certainly replace a way to deal with the boys ourselves." "But we found them, it's not right." I objected.

"So unfair. Trying to take away what we found just because you're the mom and dad." Lucas sighed dramatically.

I understood the game they were playing, and I was more than willing to play it with them.
