“And being selfish is good. There is nothing wrong with thinking about yourself as long as you’re not harming others.” Wylder added, cheering her up. “As I said before, you never took interest in knowing me, Ara. You don’t have to know anyone by asking them each and every question; sometimes you have to just observe.”

“For example, I know everything from the time at which you were born to the size of your heels, but you don’t even know what is my favorite food.” Wylder pointed it out, and immediately Tiara started feeling guilty about it. She wanted to open her mouth and ask what his favorite dish was, but she couldn’t because all she was thinking about was the words that he spoke a moment before, ‘Sometimes you have to just observe.’

“I never understood why you didn’t leave my side, even though I was never a good friend to you!” Tiara whispered.

“Well, that’s not true. Remember the day when you broke all your ties with your high-class society friends just because they teased me by calling me a beggar and an orphan?” Wylder reminded her, to which she fumed in anger and nodded her head. “You stood by my side, Ara. That was the day when I started liking you a little more than a friend.”

Tiara’s cheek burned, and it turned a shade of red.

“Not to forget, you wouldn’t have kicked me out of your life if you hadn’t been a great friend to me, Ara. You knew that I wouldn’t have left if you had talked to me calmly after all; by then even you had realized that I wasn’t going to leave you, Ara!”

Tiara felt blessed to have him in her life, and she promised herself that she wasn’t going to lose him ever. She watched him apply butter all over the chicken. She watched him like he was the best thing that happened to her in her life.

‘Getting blessed with a person who accepts you for who you are is a big thing, kids.’ Her mother used to say

She watched how his shirt hugged him like his second skin. She pressed her thighs tightly together to control the ache that she was feeling in between her thighs.

All of a sudden, his blue eyes looked at her, signaling that it was his Lycan in charge.

‘Did he smell something?’ She wondered when he kept looking at her from top to bottom. His intense gaze made her feel uncomfortable. Leaving his work, he walked towards her. He placed both of his hands on her knees and pushed them apart, stepping in between.

Tiara couldn’t focus on whether she should focus on his hand on her knee or his face close to her. Her heartbeats had increased all of a sudden.

“Give control to Wild and let him cook, Night.” She spoke to escape his intense gaze.

“Why? Don’t you like me this close to you?” He whispered, and his hand started moving upward from her knees to her thighs. She bit her lips to stop herself from moaning. “Don’t stop yourself, Red.”

“Red?” Tiara looked at him curiously, getting a new name from him.

“You know the reason why I called you Red, don’t you, Red?” He asked huskily, to which Tiara nodded her head. “You wanted to ask something.” He stated instead of asking.

“Don’t you hate me or your human for keeping this type of relationship?” She asked. “I mean, most of the wolves don’t like their humans keeping this type of relationship with anyone except their mate.” She added.

“Of course not! My human has great patience; if I had been at his place, I would have f****d you the day you turned sixteen. I wanted to f**k you from the moment my eyes landed on you. You were just eight back then.”

“What?” Tiara exclaimed in shock while Night grinned evilly. He didn’t want to scare her, but he told her about the dangerous desire that he had for her. “You’re such a pervert, Night. I was just a child, and you were lusting over a child.” She said and hit his chest in anger.

“It’s not my fault if I woke up earlier than expected.” Night chuckled. A wolf’s soul never woke up like a year-old pup, but they were already adults. Night didn’t like lusting over a mated woman, so Sophia was out of his league. Liara used to stay in her own world, between the books, so she never caught Night’s attention, and Tiara… well, she was someone who could catch anyone’s attention with her beauty. “It was my human, who was a pup. Not me.”

“But… how is that possible? And why did Wild ever tell me about it? And what was the reason that you were forced to shift?” Tiara asked but immediately realized that it was another question related to his past. The area that was forbidden

“You should go and use a tampon, Ara,” Wylder spoke, stepping away from her when Night returned control of his body to him.

“Tampon? But why?” Tiara asked in confusion until the realization hit her. “Not tonight. I ruined everything, didn’t I?” She asked and jumped from the counter of the kitchen. There was no sign of b***d there, not on her shirt, but she trusted a werewolf’s sense rather than questioning him.

“Not exactly,” Wylder replied, keeping the chicken in the oven. “I remembered your date. So, I knew that we wouldn’t be doing that.” Tiara didn’t know how to feel about it.

“That’s the reason I’m cooking chicken today because it can help you stay full and satiated during your period, curbing cravings. I also got dark chocolate and fruit for you. And I dare you to think of eating ice cream because it always increases your menstrual cramps.” He added.

Tiara nodded her head like a good girl. She went into the room in search of a tampon, but throughout the time, Wylder’s words kept playing in her mind. It was true that she never took interest in his life; not just that, she also didn’t see what he always kept doing for her. It wasn’t the first time he was doing this; he used to check on her before too, at least once or twice. He always used to bring chocolates and fruits for her.

Grabbing a tampon, she went into the washroom and smiled, recalling how he wasn’t ready to leave her side during her first periods until her mother assured her that she would take care of his friend in his absence.

‘You’re a keeper, Wild. Any she-wolf will be so lucky to have you in her life.’ She thought and then looked at the tampon, saying, ‘Instead of your big cucumber, I will have to adjust with this tampon.’ She thought next, glaring at it with so much hate and anger before pushing a tampon inside her.
