Night put her down and stood in front of Arabella, hiding her behind his huge frame, ready to take everyone if required. As far as he could smell, there were a lot of werewolves.

This was a planned attack. Whoever planned this was keeping an eye on them.

They were not rogues because a large number of rogues had now become part of the Silver Moon Pack.

‘Zahir, Eliam. We have uninvited guests at Morawali Hills.’ He mind-linked them and closed them instantly. They would at least take an hour to reach. I’m not sure what the status of that moment would be, but for now, he had to keep Arabella protected.

Arabella placed her hand on his arms. She was scared for Night.

The werewolves on the other side started appearing one by one. All of a sudden, Night’s body stiffened.

‘What is it?’

‘I recognized their smell.’ Night responded, feeling that he had sensed a couple of scents earlier but had no idea where. But as the seconds passed, he finally remembered that. ‘They are the werewolves from the Nightfall Pride, from where we ran away after killing that Beta.’

Wylder took a deep breath and watched all the werewolves. It looked like half of the pack was here or more.

Even that night, these werewolves wanted to kill him, and tonight was no different.

Wylder hadn’t forgotten how they killed his dad, or father figure, by beating him continuously.

‘They are the werewolves from the Nightfall Pride.’ Wylder informed both his Beta and Gamma and wondered who would have been the Alpha of this pack now.

The question wasn’t that tough.

His father figure’s son, Erik Woodside. They used to be brothers when they were kids.

‘Damn! It looks like he has sent his army to kill me.’ Wylder thought, doubting whether he would be able to fight all of them or not. He was scared that he might fail to protect Arabella.

He knew there was only one thing he could do in this case.

RUN.

Though he hated running away from the fight, for now, that was the demand of the time. Night let out a loud roar, ready to fight with them, and in the next moment, he jumped from the cliff carrying Arabella. He hid her body with his as much as he could.

Arabella didn’t make a sound and kept looking into his blue eyes, and in the middle, Night gave control to Wylder, who tried to use his magic but couldn’t.

F**k!

Now he realized why no one attacked them when he was spending quality time with Arabella. He shifted back to his Lycan form to handle as many injuries as he could while falling down. His body started hitting branches of trees one after another, and after a while, he finally landed on the ground, but his legs trembled. He realized that Arabella’s back had hit the ground, and he quickly turned his position, taking the pain at his back.

He growled at her, asking her if she was fine. Though he tried his best to keep her safe, there were scratches on her right hand, and she was bleeding as well.

At the same time, Arabella looked at him in concern and asked, “Are you okay?” She asked in a low tone. Night would have given control to Wylder so that they could do the talking, but he sensed them in the air.

Getting back on his feet, he started running as fast as he could while his body healed in the meantime.

‘Zahir, update?’

‘Forty-five minutes more.’

‘We’re in the jungle now.’ I updated him. ‘Those sick bastards have a witch with them who has made sure that I won’t be able to use my magic, and I won’t be surprised if I won’t be able to use my Lycan power as well. They have come with a full-proof plan.’

‘Someone from the pack has informed them about all this, Zahir. If I survive this, I swear I will kill that. Wylder didn’t get a chance to complete his words, and all of a sudden, he started shifting into a human form where he couldn’t mind link anyone.

“Damn!” He cursed when he realized that he was badly trapped between the wolves and Arabella. He looked at Arabella, who was looking at him in silence and worry. He put her on the ground before signaling her to leave while he decided to handle them for a while.

Arabella shook her head.

“They are here for me, Ara. Leave from here or they will kill you too.” He finally spoke, not caring that they might hear him.

“Then I’m ready to die with you, but I swear to the Moon Goddess that I won’t leave you alone,” Arabella said, shaking her head. Tears dwelled in her eyes, but she promised that she wouldn’t cry in this situation. She intertwined her hand with his. “Let’s run together then.”

“This is not the time to use your film dialogues, Ara. Leave. This is my order.” Wylder said, jerking her hand away and looking around to grab something with which he was going to break those werewolves’ heads.

He broke the branch of the tree, which caused him a lot of difficulties, and watched Arabella, standing by his side. He gritted his teeth and stood in front of her, waiting for them.

He was slightly injured after jumping from the cliff, so they were just ordinary werewolves; they would need time to recover from the pain and injuries.

Throughout the time, he could feel her eyes on him, but he ignored her because he was mad at her for not leaving him alone. He sharpened one side of that branch so that it could pierce someone’s body if required.

“I like the shape of your buttock.” She said this, watching his figure from the back. Wylder bit his inner cheek, trying not to smile. They were in grave danger, and she was admiring his figure.
