Witches could control anyone’s mind, so maybe the mastermind could be a witch.

But all things were based on assumptions.

One just couldn’t attack that pack without any proof, which was right to some extent, but his mind didn’t want to take this reasonable action into consideration. He knew that if he went against her decision and did something recklessly, he might have to lose his Alpha title.

Wylder was thinking all this when he heard the ringtone of his phone, which was with Arabella earlier. He turned around and saw a cute and tiny messenger coming in his direction, holding his phone. He was taking his baby steps and coming towards him at an extremely slow speed.

Liara’s pup.

He looked around, looking for his messenger’s mother, but she wasn’t there; it was Arya, who was watching him from afar. So she brought him here.

Wylder’s phone stopped ringing, and along with that, Liara’s pup also stopped walking and looked at the phone.

“Give the phone to me, pup. I will call that person back.” Wylder spoke and signaled for him to come towards him. He was surprised when the little kid understood him and started walking again. Wylder’s phone started ringing again. Griffin halted and looked at the phone. He swiped it and placed it near his ear.

Wylder chuckled at his intelligence.

The little pup knew where one should keep the phone after receiving it.

“Hello Alpha Wylder, It’s me, Steve Weasely.” Wylder heard what the person said on the other end. He went close to Liara’s pup to take the phone from him after knowing it was King’s call.

“Aww…. oo.. Aaa.. maa…. Paa.. daa.. ooo… ooo”

“Griffin? Is that you?”

“Oooo”

Wylder picked Griffin in his arms and softly took the phone from his hand, keeping it on the speaker, so that Griffin could also talk to Steve if he wanted to in his baby language.

“Hello, King Steve!! Yes, it’s Griffin, Lee’s pup.” Wylder spoke.

“A*.. aaa.. Aaa..” Griffin spoke, trying to hold the phone in his hand.

“Hello to you too, future King Griffin.” Steve spoke before adding, “Alpha Wylder, I got your email. Though my mate already asked your Beta not to attack the Nightfall Pride. I thought to talk with you personally as well. I’m starting the investigation of this issue from this moment. I expect you to take your decision calmly. I don’t want to lose one of my best Alphas from his rightful title because of any stupidity.”

“Aaaa… ooh” Griffin blabbered and a long drool dropped from his mouth. Wylder wiped it and smiled at him watching him smiling widely, showing a couple of his teeth.

“Even the future king wants the same,” Steve added. Wylder scoffed at his words and looked at the pup who couldn’t even wipe his own drool.

“I expect to hear something positive about the investigation, King Steve. And also, it’s a kind request that I will punish those bastards with my own hand. Well, I won’t mind if others will also request that chance but I want to be the first to punish them.”

“I will try to get this matter sorted in a week.”

“Thank you, King Steve.”

“Aaa.. co…. Pa.. daa..”

“I will see you, soon. After ten days probably, okay?” Steve talked with Griffin who clapped his hand. Wylder wanted to ask how the hell was he understanding what he was blabbering all the time.

‘The truth is that he doesn’t. Just like Ara tried to act like she could understand my growl so that I wouldn’t feel bad in the same way, he talked with Griffin so that he wouldn’t feel ignored or less valved.’ Night concluded looking at Griffin.

The pup in his arms was barely one, but something in him was making Night bow his head in respect.

“Maa… maaa… maama.” He said this, patting Wylder’s cheek.

“I’m not going inside the hospital,” Wylder said, and he looked where his mother was, but she wasn’t there anymore. He didn’t want to face Arabella. After looking at her, he would recall his failure. He mind-linked one of the guards to take Griffin near his mother.

“Aaaaa… aaaaa…” The tiny human started crying, not ready to leave Wylder’s arms, wrapping his small hands around Wylder’s neck.

Wylder dismissed the guard and caressed Griifin’s back softly to calm him down, but surprisingly, he automatically calmed down and looked around to check whether the guard had left or not. Wylder tried to give him to Eliam and saw him start crying again.

“Fine!! I won’t give you to him.” Wylder said he didn’t miss noticing how Griffin became silent and looked around. He started making faces when he saw Elias was near. “Leave,” Wylder ordered Eliam, and immediately a smile appeared on Griffin’s lips.

“You’re Lee’s son, but act like Tee’s,” Wylder said, slapping his buttocks.

“Mama,” he spoke.

“Go on your own because I’m not taking you to the hospital,” Wylder said, putting him down. Griffin pouted and started walking slowly in the wrong direction. Wylder g*****d, picking him up, and he knew he couldn’t leave him here.

“Your mother is inside,” Wylder said to him, ready to put him down because Liara was in Arabella’s room.

“Aaaaa,” Griffin cried, not leaving Wylder. Wylder realized what this little pup was trying to do. Werewolf pups were smarter than normal human pups.

Moreover, Griffin was a royal pup.

“Come on, let’s meet your aunt,” Wylder said, taking him to Tiara’s room, who was in the pack house. If what he was thinking was true, then maybe this little pup could help him know the things that he didn’t know. “So, are you a mama’s boy?” He asked him, wiping his droll face with the hanky tugged into his t-shirt.

“Aaaa.. aaauu..”

“I have got a feeling that she isn’t your aunt. Can you help me with that?” Wylder asked him in a serious tone, and all of a sudden, he started pulling his body in the other direction than Wylder was taking him. “What is it? Tiara’s room is in this direction.” Wylder spoke, but Griffin tried to jump from his arms, forcing him to change directions. Wylder did what the little human forcefully asked.

A few minutes later, he found himself in front of Eliam’s room.

Before he could have asked why they were there, He could see black magic, something that only a wizard or witch could smell. He opened Elaim’s room, holding Griffin carefully. He entered and looked around, searching for evidence.

He recalled how he wasn’t able to use his magic and shifted into a human while others were just normal. He searched Eliam’s room, and his eyes widened when he found a voodoo doll that looked like him under Eliam’s bed, along with other things that were required for the black magic.

‘Traitor’ Night growled in his mind, while Wylder wasn’t ready to believe that Eliam was behind all this. He and Zahir were his best friends.
