“Beaten to death.

When I heard these words from the forensic doctor, the tearing pain swept over me again and enveloped me.

In that hellish place, we were treated like animals.

As long as we made a small mistake, including not eating up, they’d scold us for wasting food, and they’d beat us.

If we walked slowly, they’d slap us till we bled.

If we didn’t bow to the coach at a ninety–degree angle, we’d be locked up in solitary confinement for three days.

The confinement room was so cramped and narrow that we couldn’t even stand up straight.

During that time, the noise I heard most was screaming,

sometimes in the middle of the night and sometimes in the early morning.

Every time I heard that, my whole body couldn’t help but tremble.

And I was seen as the one who needed to be punished the most.

I often got electric shocks and beatings, and if I couldn’t control my bladder and wet myself, they’d laugh at me.

“Your parents said that you had no manners. They asked us to take good care of you.”

Several coaches‘ lackeys often made fun of me, saying, “Kneel down and bark. From now on, we are your owners.”

“Your family is rich? What’s the use of that? You’re a dog teased by us!”

What made us even more heartbroken than the torture was the

attitude of our parents.

Everyone in the agency was praised by our parents.

Our parents thought the institution had the best education and coaches.

When we cautiously asked them for help, they’d say that we wanted to get out to have fun.

“We are doing this for your own good.”

“If you don’t be educated, you won’t survive when you enter the society.”

“It’s normal to get beaten. Without being beaten, one cannot remember. You should listen to the coaches.”

But what they didn’t know was that once their kids called for help, their kids would be tortured even more harshly once they left.

I couldn’t bear being beaten anymore, so I gathered up the courage to resist.

I bit the coach’s wrist and was about to run.

As a result, I was beaten to death, and my spine was crushed.

I still couldn’t forget the sound of my bones breaking.
