Tasya once again let out a deep breath. She glanced at Baby G, which indicated that it was already eight o'clock in the evening. But she couldn't just leave like that. Ideally, she wanted to go home right away. Arrive safely, fall into a deep sleep, and resume activities the next day. It should be like that, right? So why was she standing in front of Naina's door? What was she doing?

"Naina," Tasya called softly. She knocked on the brown door with the girl's nameplate. "Can't I come in?"

"No!"

Tasya tried to be patient, but her hands couldn't wait. She turned the doorknob a little forcefully. She was sure that Naina wouldn't lock her room. She knocked out of courtesy because, in any case, the girl deserved privacy. She didn't want to violate that. But Tasya had tried three times to persuade her, and there was still no response. It wasn't about that. Their return this time still held resentment in Naina's heart.

Tasya understood that very well.

During their time at the office, after the messy lunch, Naina had remained silent. She didn't act out much, just sat quietly in the chair Tasya had provided in her room. Tasya had even ordered plenty of snacks and accompanied the girl while she ate her favorite fried chicken. Nothing was wrong. Really. Several times, Tasya had left Naina to attend to her work and to accompany Nathan in his meeting with the marketing team.

The project in Jakarta had to proceed, and the boss wanted progress in terms of reaching an agreement with the local residents. Despite being busy, Tasya didn't simply ignore Naina. She had a responsibility to make the girl feel comfortable. That's why she was puzzled when they returned home, why was the girl angry? Was there something wrong?

Her eyes scanned the room as she entered Naina's bedroom. The dolls were still in their places. Only the scattered bags and shoes, along with yesterday's shopping paper bag, were in the corner of the closet. "What's wrong with you?" Tasya sat on the edge of the girl's bed. She knew Naina was inside, curled up under the thick blanket because the room's heater had been turned on.

"No." Naina still didn't want to uncover herself. "Just go home, Tasya."

"I need to know why you're like this first." Tasya tried to touch Naina. Somehow, she felt partly responsible for the girl's plummeting mood, although she didn't know what she had done wrong. "You haven't had dinner yet, right? Are you not hungry?"

"I'll have Merry bring me food later."

Tasya sighed softly. "Tasya wants to go home, but if you're sulking like this, how can I do that?"

"You always leave anyway, right? Why are you suddenly concerned about me?"

Well... Tasya just made another mistake.

"Yesterday, I asked you to stay, but you followed Daddy's orders. You went home instead. But I had homework, you know?" "But I helped, right?"

Naina pouted and then uncovered herself a bit to be able to breathe. "I want Daddy to come home. Where did he go?" That was something Tasya didn't know.

The meeting ended quite late, and a lot was discussed. Then Nathan just left without saying anything to Tasya. He even asked the assistant to take Naina home, saying he had something to do. But Tasya's mind immediately put together what business could make Nathan leave suddenly, except a woman?

Did... Nathan meet Boonie again? As compensation for the messy lunch? Oh, thinking about that made Tasya feel suffocated.

"I don't know where your Daddy went," Tasya replied with a thin smile. She tidied Naina's slightly messy hair. "I'm hungry. Let's eat first. Before I go home, so that I can be at ease knowing you've eaten."

Naina remained silent for a while. "I really hate it when Daddy meets strange women out there. Why doesn't he just come home and accompany me? He said he's tired from work, but instead of resting, he plays around. It's annoying." "Your Daddy is a Raptor."

"Does Raptor behave like that, Tasya?"

Tasya laughed. "Raptors are hunters, Naina. They won't easily let go of their prey. Besides, they're the most troublesome and chatty. Compared to T-Rex, Raptors make the most noise. They're talkative."

"Yes, it's true, just like Daddy. But what is Daddy hunting? Strange women? Yesterday, I asked for Mami Seira, but he refused. He said Mami Seira has her own family."

"That's right." Tasya laughed. "Come on, let's eat. So I won't go home too late." She reached out her hand for the little girl to accept.

"Just stay the night, Tasya." Naina actually held Tasya's hand. She was swayed by Tasya's persuasion. She immediately accepted the extended hand. Then they walked together towards the dining table. After all, Naina couldn't refuse what Tasya asked.

She didn't know why, maybe because she had known her daddy's assistant for a long time, and they often agreed when it came to criticizing her daddy. It made her feel comfortable. Although Naina would receive a lot of advice from her, it was not like Daddy or Auntie, who were talkative. Tasya made her obey without much protest.

"You can't. There's a lot to take care of tomorrow, Naina."

"When are you not busy?"

"Maybe when I don't work with your Daddy?" Tasya said while grinning as widely as possible. She also made her face look as relaxed as possible. It was a joking statement. There was no seriousness there, which immediately made Naina laugh. "Why do I feel sorry for Daddy if you don't work anymore? He'll be in trouble for sure."

"Actually, Raptors are the best at work, Naina," Tasya joked lightly. "They may be small predators, but their ferocity is almost the same as T-rex." That's true. Nathan was indeed agile and always hit the mark. Maybe Faldom was still considered small in the distribution industry, but the company Nathan led continued to thrive despite the advancing technology.

Tasya admitted that. Moreover, her boss always hit the mark when it came to pursuing women. He was definitely a skilled predator, right?

"Should I tell Grandma that Daddy still doesn't want to replace the Red-haired Mom?" Naina laughed. "So, it was all your idea, huh?"

"An idea about a Red-haired Mom? Rather than having hair like that Weird Aunt. It's unclear. Really like a Squiggly Unicorn, you know. You should watch YouTube occasionally."

Tasya burst into laughter. "Later."

"What are you laughing about?"

Tasya's steps came to a halt. Nathan was at the bottom of the stairs, his gaze fixed on Tasya. "You haven't gone home yet, Tasya?"

"Not yet, Sir." Tasya nervously swallowed her saliva. She wondered if their conversation about Raptor and the behavior of wild animals was overheard. She hoped her words didn't come across too clearly. She might receive a lecture from Nathan.

"Where did Daddy go?" Naina asked with a pouting face. Her hands were crossed in frustration. Her eyes were dripping with sarcasm.

"I met Aunt Marta." Nathan grinned widely. "Have you eaten yet? Daddy brought satay. You must like it, right?"

"Liar!" Naina still refused to lower her sulky tone.

"No, really. He actually wants to introduce you next week. It's been a while since you last saw Aunt Marta, right?"

Naina didn't forget Nathan's friend. Because she once teased the woman, thinking she was trying to get close to her daddy. But it turned out not to be the case. It seemed like she owed her an apology. "Where are we going to meet?" "Dorotty Place? Would you like that?"

"Can Tasya come along?"

"Of course, why not?" Nathan put his arm around Naina. "Let's eat first, my most beautiful daughter in the world."

Naina pouted but then smiled broadly. "Daddy is the most handsome in the world too."

The two of them made peace again, which made Tasya relieved. She wasn't needed, right? Going home was the best option.

"Tasya, why are you still there? Eat first. I deliberately got a special portion for you."

Tasya furrowed her brow.

"You like chicken grill with sweet soy sauce, right?" Nathan teased her.

Tasya pretended to be annoyed.

"And I still need a lot of explanations about why Raptors are called ferocious hunters. Have I ever made anyone suffer?"

Didn't Nathan talk like that without a mirror? The one who often made others suffer was... Tasya. There were many annoying things about Nathan. Well, Tasya thought he was also annoying at the office. Some of the decisions he made were beyond reason, but the results were always satisfactory.

"Hurry up, Tasya!"

She wanted to turn and engage the driver in conversation. But Tasya hesitated because Nathan didn't seem as relaxed as usual. But this couldn't be left unaddressed, right? "Sir," she called softly.

"Don't talk to me for now, Tasya. I have a headache," Nathan replied. Tasya pursed her lips. Her mind replayed the lively dinner memory. Naina was no longer sulking, and Tasya could easily go home. The promise was clear too-to accompany them in meeting yet another woman in Nathan's life. Tasya didn't really care, as long as the situation remained under control.

Nathan and Naina always had requests. But once she fulfilled everything, her plate suddenly became full with various dishes chosen by both Nathan and Naina.

Naina said, "Tasya should try this. It's delicious. Not spicy, though. You can add more chili sauce later."

Then Nathan didn't want to be outdone and offered her his bowl of Chicken Soup. "This is delicious, Tasya. You should try it."

But all of that suddenly disappeared when Nathan finished a phone call, from someone she didn't know. Nathan chose to step away from the dining table, not wanting to disturb the conversation, or so it seemed. But the atmosphere suddenly changed.

"If you're busy, you shouldn't—"

"Can we meet Ms. Nadine?" Nathan interrupted quickly.

"Yes, sir?"

"Tomorrow, you don't have to come to the office. There's nothing urgent, right? I can handle it myself. Like you said, Raptor works alone and the results are still good." Tasya was left speechless.

"No need to be shocked. I'm used to hearing you talk recklessly," Nathan grinned thinly. "But I need you to be on standby at the hotel and meet Nadine. She has the key, right?" "It seems so, sir."

"It's going to be a long day, Tasya, for both of us."

Tasya agreed with his statement. "Board meetings really drain a lot of energy."

"That's why you shouldn't add more to it, Tasya, with other things."

"Me?" Tasya pointed at herself and dared to lift her eyes to meet Nathan's gaze. "When did I do anything?"

"Tsk! You're not even aware. I've said it before, I don't want blind dates. Why are you still suggesting names of women I should meet?"

Tasya blinked in confusion. "No, sir."

"Not at all," Nathan grumbled in frustration. "Look, Boonie came here because of Oma Alexa's order. If you want to give me a headache, Tasya, that's not how you do it. Boonie is just a passing thing." Tasya quickly searched her brain for any correlation but found nothing. She wondered why Nathan mentioned Alexa's name. When did she have a conversation with Naina's grandmother on her mother's side? "Anyway, I refuse any plans from Oma and my mother. You should be on my side. You know me best, instead of pushing me into their madness," Nathan grumbled.

"I'm sorry, sir," Tasya said softly.

"It's not your fault," Nathan sighed softly. "Enough. Don't worry about it. Your focus should be on staying by my side for now. Uncovering the old story isn't easy, it turns out."

From Tasya's perspective, Nathan's profile was already so captivating. His nose was prominent, and the fine hair around his jaw seemed to beckon for Tasya's touch. Not to mention his sharp and piercing gaze, similar to how he appeared in his daily life, attending meetings with other business partners.

"You want to be by my side until the board meeting is over and we reveal what Optima is like, right?"

"Where else would I go?" Tasya chuckled softly.

"Well, who knows, maybe you want to resign like you mentioned earlier."
