Tonight, Nathan was happy. Why wouldn't he be? His eyes were content as they gazed at Tasya's peacefully sleeping face. There was no makeup, her face looking a bit pale with slightly dry lips. Her hair was neatly arranged because Nathan couldn't resist tidying up her black locks. Some dark spots on Tasya's face were quite noticeable, but Nathan liked it that way. It looked much more natural and human. For Nathan, Tasya's beauty was different.

Ever since they first met, Nathan, whose heart was in turmoil, was captivated by the words of a girl much younger than him. A girl who momentarily made Nathan think that growing up would lead to an attractive appearance. And tonight, for some reason, Nathan felt like he was flying when they were finally reunited by fate. Right in front of his room. How that meeting turned his world upside down, especially the rejection from the girl, which made sense. "You're not asleep yet?" Tasya didn't need to open her eyes.

"I still want to see you."

"Your flirty Raptor mode is dangerous, huh."

Nathan laughed. "I'm only flirting with you, Tasya."

"Unfortunately, I don't believe that." Tasya scooted away slightly. "What time is it now?" Slowly, she opened her eyes, adjusting to the dim light in her hospital room.

"It's eleven."

"Aren't you going to bed yet?"

With Nathan's help, Tasya chose to sit in the middle of her bed. Her condition was much better now. She also felt like she had slept for a long time. Comfortable. Undisturbed. And cozy. Maybe because... she had slept in Nathan's embrace? Her ears were still sane, recording how the heartbeat lulled her. Not to mention the gentle caresses she received on her head.

That was it. Really. There were no forehead kisses or even a soft peck on the cheek. Maybe because Nathan was keeping himself in check, or perhaps Tasya just didn't capture the man's attention? The latter option seemed more likely. Tasya wasn't blind to Nathan's history with other women.

"Not sleepy, Tasya." Nathan chuckled. "Hungry? Want some milk?"

Tasya sighed. "I'm not a bottomless pit."

"Just offering, Tasya." Nathan approached. "I have a meeting tomorrow. I'll ask Merry to come and keep you company, okay?"

"Don't trouble your household, Nathan. I'm sure Naina needs Merry more."

"Tasya," Nathan called. For some reason, his voice made Tasya's heart race differently. He sounded heavy, full of requests. Also, his gaze was leading Tasya astray in the depths of Nathan's eyes. "It won't be a bother if it involves you." "B-but."

"Can you please not argue with me?" His hand reached out effortlessly, touching Tasya's slender cheek. "Starting tomorrow, I'll make sure you eat regularly. I consulted with a nutritionist at this hospital. I've learned about the menu that's friendly for your stomach and you're eating pattern. I picked it up quickly."

"You'll be inconvenienced, Nathan. I just had a late meal."

"Your late meals make my heart skip a beat, Tasya." Nathan's tone turned cold. How could Tasya think so lightly of what had happened to her? Seeing the change in Nathan's facial expression, Tasya lowered her head. "Yes, Nathan." That's all that could come out of Tasya's lips.

"That's better." The hand that still rested on Tasya's slender cheek moved gently, using his thumb to caress. It made the bowed face slowly lift again, their eyes meeting, refusing to look away.

"Now, if I were to talk seriously, could you hear me well?" Tasya blinked slowly. "What do you mean?"

"What I want to discuss is about the future, Tasya. For me right now, you're the only one I can talk to."

Tasya swallowed hard. "What do you mean?"

Nathan laughed. "I wanna kiss you, Tasya!" The distance was further reduced by Nathan until he felt Tasya's breath against his face. His target was those lips, slightly dry but...

He planted a kiss right on her forehead. Damn it! Nathan was halfway to losing control and not kissing Tasya's lips. It wasn't that he didn't want to. It wasn't that he didn't crave those slightly pale lips today. Dear God! Ever since that girl had entered his embrace, Nathan had recited millions of spells to contain all the turmoil burning within him.

In front of other women, he didn't need to feel strange palpitations because it was purely a sexual activity. He could do it without any extra feelings. He was satisfied, the woman received her payment. Or... just an endless relationship. Done deal. But Tasya?

For whatever he held, she had completely bewildered him.

He gave that forehead kiss for quite a while. For Nathan, it was an affirmation to calm what was rolling inside him now.

When he released the kiss, Nathan knew that Tasya's body suddenly stiffened. Her eyes widened in disbelief at Nathan's recent action. But what else could he do? He couldn't hold back for too long. This was already very good because he had targeted her forehead. What if it was her lips? Tasya might push him away to the end of the solar system.

No, no. Nathan wouldn't take that risk, even though he really wanted to feel the softness of Tasya's lips.

"Do you have to use a forehead kiss as an opening?" Tasya asked softly.

"Well... not really." Nathan felt awkward. Especially since Tasya asked with such innocent eyes! "I just couldn't resist wanting to kiss you."

"On the forehead?"

Tasya's question made Nathan grumble in frustration. "My intention was to devour your lips, Tasya. Until you ran out of breath. Not to mention, I wouldn't forget any details of the kiss I'd give you." Nathan felt like stuffing his mouth with a thick cloth! Why did he have to voice his innermost thoughts! It's crazy! But indeed, in front of Tasya, Nathan could go crazy!

"Unfortunately, I can't do that."

"Why?"

"You... seriously asking that?"

Since Tasya started acting crazy this evening, inviting Nathan to sleep with her, let's just say she had gone nuts. Her sanity had eroded as more and more fluids from the IV entered her body. Add to that the dizziness that had struck. But... Tasya was aware that everything she had said, aside from containing risks, was actually her desire.

Tasya rarely distanced herself from Nathan. Many office and business matters involved the presence of both of them. Countless office events involving business where Tasya was always by Nathan's side. Tasya even knew by heart what Nathan liked and disliked because they were together so often. However, their closeness had never had any intimacy. Even when Nathan occasionally held or touched Tasya, it was still in a very ordinary way.

Not like tonight. Tasya initiated and provoked first. Tasya loved the embrace Nathan gave her. Besides making her comfortable, she felt that Nathan treated her so special. But when they were that close, why did he target her forehead? "I'm not attractive, am I?" Tasya asked in a whisper.

"Not attractive?" Nathan asked in a fluster. "Oh my God!" Nathan sighed half in frustration. And now the girl was looking at him with a bewildered, unbelieving, and... hurt look?

For God's sake!

Nathan couldn't help but realize what was on his mind. The fantasy of bringing his lips to gently greet Tasya's thin lips became real. Whether for one or two minutes, there was no movement at all in their lip meeting. Maybe Nathan needed time to calm himself down before he started his exploration.

Although those lips were pale, the sweet and soft sensation already made Nathan lose control. Very gently and carefully, he kissed every inch of Tasya's lip surface. He sucked with caution, afraid of hurting Tasya's pale lips. Meanwhile, Tasya, still filled with surprise, could only surrender to what Nathan was doing. Until she felt Nathan's tongue starting to invade her mouth, she had to hold on tight. To whatever was nearby, including... she put her hand around Nathan's neck as a grip.

This actually made Nathan feel that his touch was getting a no less thrilling response. Especially when his kiss was reciprocated. They devoured each other. Sucking alternately as if unwilling to lose in the game of sharing saliva. Until Tasya didn't realize that she was sitting on top of Nathan. She leaned down a little to match Nathan's kiss, which didn't seem to want to end. The sound of their lips coming together was in harmony with the intimacy they had created tonight.

Occasionally, Tasya pulled Nathan's hair out of frustration because the involvement of Nathan's tongue was burning her more and more. To the point where she moved restlessly on Nathan's lap.

As for Nathan? If he hadn't noticed the IV tube still attached to Tasya's right hand, he might not have wanted to end the long kiss. Nathan created oxygen between them in the gaps of their passionate exchange. Nathan wasn't just skilled in kissing. However, sealing his lips with Tasya's took tremendous courage.

"Where did I get the idea that I wasn't attracted to you, Tasya?" Nathan paused the kiss for a moment. He gently stroked Tasya's wet and slightly swollen lips. "Can you feel that I'm restraining myself from devouring you recklessly?" Tasya closed her eyes in embarrassment. She wanted to bury herself in Nathan's embrace, but he held her back to keep their gaze locked. God! Tasya felt like changing her face.

"What I want to talk about is clearly about the future, Tasya." Nathan wanted to laugh at Tasya's very red face. But he didn't. He needed his sanity for this conversation. His intention was to wait until Tasya was better, but seeing her fast asleep in the embrace they had recently shared, Nathan was sure that what he wanted to say couldn't be postponed any longer.

"We're getting married. Soon."

"Nathan?" Tasya finally spoke up. "You... you're not joking, are you?"

He shook his head with confidence. "It's you, me, and Naina in it. Living where my desires align with yours. All three of us. Inseparable. But there's no Faldom that I can hold onto." "What do you mean?"
