Nathan made sure Naina was comfortable in her seat. The girl had changed into a loose cotton t-shirt, and her school bag was placed on the back seat. Dinner was relatively drama-free for them, filled mostly with laughter and lively conversation.

One thing that caught Nathan's attention was Naina's attitude. She seemed to blend in well with Ronan, especially Robin. There were no frowns or signs of dislike on her face. She didn't complain about the food or anything else. In fact, Naina often laughed at Robin's silly antics. It was as if the child had found an atmosphere where she felt accepted and warmly welcomed.

Nathan was genuinely pleased. It had been a long time since he had seen happiness in Naina's eyes. Since the loss, a genuine smile on Naina's face had been a precious rarity. That's why Nathan was so grateful for the unexpected dinner atmosphere tonight. If he could be greedy, he would want this kind of evening to happen every night.

"You haven't talked much about Respati," Nathan brought up the topic again.

"Naina is getting sleepy, Nathan. If she doesn't have school tomorrow, I'll ask her to sleep upstairs."

Nathan nodded weakly. "When are you going to tell me about that guy?"

"It's not important for you to know, Nathan," Tasya smiled thinly.

"From my perspective, it is, Tasya." If Nathan could physically shake Tasya, he would have done it by now. How could she say it wasn't important? So he shouldn't worry about it? Oh God!

"Because to me, Respati is no longer important. So there's nothing I need to tell you, right?"

"But it's important to me," Nathan sighed. "You don't know how frustrated I feel, Tasya."

"Don't overdramatize, Nathan," Tasya chuckled. "You can go home now. Drive safely."

"No," Nathan retorted quickly. "I need you to explain briefly."

"You're going to ask a lot of questions later," Tasya knew Nathan's habits all too well. He wouldn't stop talking and asking until he got the right answers.

"It's natural for me to ask, Tasya. Respati seems suspicious. Or should I replace a competent doctor for your mom?"

Tasya nodded in agreement. "If you think it's necessary, I don't mind."

This response actually left Nathan dumbfounded. There were two possibilities when a woman avoided a man in front of her. "I'm getting more suspicious." Nathan folded his hands across his chest. "Just give me the highlights, so I'm not so curious."

"Let's talk about it tomorrow, okay? Naina might get tired." Tasya mustered up the courage. She took a step closer, bridging the distance between them. Nathan's gaze became more intense, drowning her in it. Tasya didn't shift her eyes anywhere else. Only Nathan. Even when she reached out to touch Nathan's cheek. "I'll definitely tell you about Respati. Can you be patient?"

"I won't be able to sleep tonight, Mama Raptor."

"Can't sleep?" Tasya laughed. "A full stomach should calm your heart, Nathan."

"Where does that calmness come from?" Nathan, who didn't want Tasya to move away, pulled her closer. Nathan wouldn't make any advances on his girl. Just being like this was enough. He could still hold back, even though it was difficult... God-level difficulty!

Could Nathan forget the time when Tasya was on top of him? Even though it didn't mean getting undressed, just sharing a long kiss. But know that this distance was the closest between them. It erased all questions and confirmed that in their hearts, they had been connected for a long time.

"I'm afraid Respati might suddenly come here, Tasya."

Tasya laughed even more. "That's impossible."

"It's really hard to talk to you." Nathan pouted. "I'll pick you up earlier tomorrow. I want to have breakfast together."

"Naina will come too!"

Wait! Since when did the car window lower slightly, allowing Naina's head to stick out? Tasya thought the girl had fallen asleep. She had been complaining about being tired since earlier; she said she had a lot of homework. Tasya quickly distanced herself from Nathan, though it was difficult because he just glared at her when Tasya pushed him away.

"What's wrong?" She whispered, annoyed.

"Look at Naina, Nathan. Shame!" Tasya glared sharply, but she forgot what kind of guy Nathan was dealing with. There was no way Nathan would let her go easily.

"Naina, wake up earlier tomorrow, okay?" "What for?" Naina squinted suspiciously.

"To have breakfast at Tasya's house."

"I want to!"

Tasya had just finished tidying up her wardrobe, which was piled with freshly ironed clothes. She had personally arranged her work attire. She couldn't afford to have any wrinkles in certain areas because she was always beside her boss. It wouldn't be ethical and it would feel strange to have a mismatched appearance compared to Nathan. Tasya's clothes were always neat and tidy, never intentionally revealing or emphasizing her body's curves.

"All done." She glanced at the clock in the corner of the room, and it was already ten in the evening. It was time for her to sleep so she could return to work as usual tomorrow. Besides, she had to wake up early because she had promised to make breakfast for Nathan and Naina. Robin and Hari would surely be happy if she prepared meals for them too.

The sound of knocking interrupted Tasya's daydream. "Who is it?"

"It's me."

It was Ronan's voice, and after that, Tasya invited her middle brother to come in. "What's up?" "You hasn't slept yet?"

"No, I haven't. Just finished arranging my clothes. What's going on?" Tasya asked once again. "Nothing, Tasya."

It was a relief to hear that from Hari. Tasya had thought that something had happened to her middle brother. She always emphasized that no matter what happened, she had to know. Good or bad, at least Tasya knew the nature of the problem. Who else could they rely on? Only Tasya, right?

"I'm glad you ares cheerful again," Ronan said sincerely. "I haven't seen you laugh like earlier in a long time."

"Really?" Without realizing it, Tasya blinked and stared at Hari intently. "It's just your imagination."

"I'm serious, Tasya." Ronan laughed. "I'm happy, really. So is Robin. Earlier, he was excited to talk about you and Mr. Nathan."

Tasya sighed in exasperation. She would have to scold Nathan tomorrow for his nonsense.

"Mr. Nathan is a good person, you know."

"What did he bribe you with?" Tasya asked suspiciously.

"Nothing like that." Ronan shook his head quickly. "There's no way it's like that."

"Are you sure?" Tasya couldn't trust that easily. She knew Nathan's nature.

"On my honor." But afterward, Ronan burst into laughter because Tasya was tickling him relentlessly. "Mercy, Tasya. Mercy!"

"Tell me, what did Nathan promise you?"

"A PS5!" Hari blurted out quickly. He couldn't stand being tickled, and his stomach was churning with the sensation. His sister knew his weakness best.

"You scoundrel, Raptor!" Tasya grumbled in annoyance. "Just wait!!!"
