"You're not asleep yet?" Nathan asked, propping his head up with his arm. Tonight, he couldn't fall asleep. He had dinner earlier, and even did the rare activity of drinking milk, just to try and get sleepy. He tossed and turned, hoping his body would get tired and he'd fall asleep.

"If I was asleep, I couldn't answer your call, Nathan," Tasya replied on the other end. Accompanied by a frustrated sigh because the night, which should have been used for rest, was being disturbed by her future husband. Actually, Tasya couldn't sleep either! How could she closed her eyes soundly when tomorrow she would change her status? And the most heartbreaking thing among all the things she had gone through; the absence of her mother. That's it. When it came to her father, who had passed away a long time ago, she didn't care much. She couldn't let go of her immense disappointment in her parents. No. Tasya couldn't just sit still. She also tried to forgive her father for his past mistakes. She didn't want to live in the shadow of her father's figure. In her eyes, he was perfect but tarnished by a legacy that made her work extra hard.

"But time keeps moving, right? Anyway... Ronan agreed on something good, there's no need to delay it any longer. According to Ronan, his brother can decide for himself what he wants to do with his life. There's no need to wait for his mother's recovery. Ronan believes that his brother's attention and care won't change even after he gets married. Besides, Ronan can see how Nathan always gives his best for his mother. Occasionally, he also asks about his future in-laws' condition. It somewhat helps Abigail's mental health, allowing her to reunite with them all. So... what reason could there be for their marriage to be postponed? There isn't any.

"I can't sleep, Tasya," Nathan says with a soft sigh. His eyes gaze at the dimly lit room's ceiling. It's intentional. His intention is to fall asleep quickly, but it's not happening.

"Why? Is something wrong?"

"Don't worry; no one's sick." Nathan chuckles. "Tomorrow we're starting a new life, Tasya."

"Why are you so nervous, Nathan?"

"Actually, no," Nathan says. "I'm just so happy that I can't sleep."

"When you're like this, I feel like you're incredibly mature. There's no trace of the Tasya who used to nag me about the pressure I gave you. You've lost that mocking look and the 'Daddy Raptor' nickname." "You're the one who provoked me to act this way. Your voice can't deceive me, Nathan."

Nathan laughs. He decides to get up from his lying position and comfortably lean against the back of the bed, stretching his legs. "Can we do a video call?"

"Actually, I'm so sleepy, Nathan. I've had a lot to do today. Why are pre-wedding preparations so tiring? I'm exhausted, you know!"

Nathan can't hide his laughter, which fills the room. "What have you been up to?"

"Well... you know, stuff like that. Do I have to tell you everything?"

"I don't know, I'm clueless. You don't want to tell me?"

"No," Tasya quickly replies. "Enough, alright? I'm really sleepy, Nathan. So tired."

"Well, don't get tired now, Tasya. We're getting married tomorrow, and in the evening, we'll be together."

"Oh my God!" There's a faint clapping sound from the other end.

"I'm really nervous, Tasya," Nathan says after regaining control over himself. The laughter that was on his lips is gone now.

"Tense... not in any other way, right, Nathan?" Tasya replies with a cautious tone. "Don't interrupt me; I know about your history with many women. So don't blame thoughts like this that still often cross my mind." "You still have jealousy, huh?" Nathan asks with a guilty grin.

"It's not jealousy, Nathan. My jealousy ran out a long time ago because of your behavior."

"I'm truly a villain, huh," Nathan chuckles softly. "I don't deny that part of my life, even if I want to. But you're there, witnessing it firsthand, even knowing everything I do. If that makes you angry and annoyed, I can deal with all your jealousy. Women can be terrifyingly jealous, Tasya. But I can handle it, as long as you don't distance yourself from me. Don't move away or, worse, leave me. I can't. It feels like I can't bear it."

Tasya remains silent for a moment before finally speaking with a hint of laughter. "If that intention is there and I've been doing it for a long time, I would have resigned from Faldom, Nathan."

Nathan sighs in resignation. "Then who would I be with?"

"Why are you so much like Naina? So spoiled."

"I'm only spoiled with you, Tasya. With other women, I'm just fulfilling desires."

"You're such a skilled hunter," Tasya grumbles in irritation. "If you dare, even a little bit. Just a little. I'm serious. I won't hesitate to leave. I'll take Naina with me. There's no point in you being in Naina's life if you keep behaving like that." "No, Mama Raptor. Geez, you're getting tough."

"I'm making a point, Nathan."

"If you accepted my proposal sooner, I wouldn't have played around with other women so much."

"Don't try to divert the topic."

Nathan bursts into laughter. "Alright, Mama Raptor." Then, in the midst of his laughter, he says, "Okay, you want to sleep, right? I'll sleep too, Tasya. I've set an alarm so I won't be late."

Tasya sighs again. "So I'm not sleepy because I remember your antics, Nathan."

"Ah, that's good then. Do I have a companion now?" Nathan says jokingly.

"Nonsense. What if they mess up my makeup? What if I have bags under my eyes? Not flawless? Not pretty? What then?"

Nathan laughs again. "To me, you're the most beautiful, Tasya."

"Whatever. You're such an annoying guy, Nathan. I'd rather take sleeping pills than deal with you tonight."

"Good grief," Nathan laughs even harder. "Tomorrow we're making our wedding vows, you know. Forever with you and me. No words like 'leaving' unless it's death. I'm not thinking about anything else except your and Naina's happiness. My focus is on all the work I have to manage. My love is completely dedicated to you, your name, and who you are. So, if you don't want to deal with and accompany me in our married life, Tasya, what should I do?"

"I think Merry made delicious seafood stir-fry, and nothing seems to be wrong. Naina went to bed two hours ago. I haven't heard any complaints from Mama Sunny either."

"What's that got to do with them?" Nathan asks irritably. "Don't change the subject, Tasya."

"I'm not changing it, Nathan," Tasya laughs. "I'm actually trying to figure out what you had for dinner because your conversation is going so smoothly. It's full of sweet talk." "Flattering your soon-to-be wife isn't a bad thing, Tasya."

"Up to you."

"But I'm serious, Tasya." Nathan straightens his back a bit. "Maybe this sounds incredibly sweet to you, but it's not. It's not just sweet words to make you love me more." "Oh my God," Tasya interrupts quickly.

"Listen, I won't hesitate to say these words again. Whether you suddenly ask me to repeat them or whether I consciously say that this is all reality."

"What do you want to say?" Tasya asks patiently. After those words, Nathan doesn't say another word.
