Chapter 297

I'm just a veterinarian and I've never got in the way of anyone. That man seems intimidating. Is he part use a gun against me if I declined to open the door? thought the vet. of a

He, who was about to go home for dinner, was forced to stay and examine the dog closely in fear.

Luckily, the puppy was abandoned but unharmed. Its limbs were intact, and it was in good health.

It was over three months, but being a small breed of dog made it look small and unlikely to grow much.

The vet gave it a full-body examination and determined that the puppy had a minor cold due to the rain.

Then he gave nice bath, trimmed its tangled hair, fed it the cold medicine, and provided vaccines and insect repellent. This process took over two hours.

The puppy's look was unveiled. It was an adorable toy poodle.

Kamryn and Eugene stood before the dog grooming table, one on each side, and gazed fondly at the freshly cleaned puppy.

It was adorable, with big, shiny black eyes, curly and soft hair, droopy ears, and an innocent tilted head. It stuck out a pink tongue, appearing very cute.

If Charlie hadn't stopped, Kamryn would have hugged and petted it.

Eugene was also captivated by the puppy. He remained silent, but he put his hands on the table and stood on his tiptoes, trying to see the dog.

When he saw the dog's big, clear eyes, his face turned red and he felt his heart was about to mell

"It's so cute! I want to pet it! he thought.

If Charlie hadn't stopped him in time, he would have touched the dog.

When his hand was grabbed, he was unhappy. He glared at his father, turned his head away, and snorted in anger.

"Bad daddy. He wouldn't let me touch the dog!' he said to himself.

Charlie tried to be helpful when he stopped the two of them from touching the dog but ended up getting an eye roll from his son. He felt both upset and amused at the same time. "They are so ungrateful. I was protecting them from germs! he complained in his heart.

To keep his wife and son from getting too excited about the cute dog and doing something they weren't allowed to do, Charlie put down a stack of cash and asked the vet to put the dog in the cage he had just bought. Then he picked the cage up and was ready to leave. The vet was honest. He noticed Charlie overpaid and quickly stopped him, saying, "Sir! You paid too much"

Holding the cage, Charlie was full of anger. He jerked his head back, glared at the vet, and snapped. "I don't care. Just take it."

The veterinarian shivered again, stood up straight in a reflex action, and said, "Yes, sirt" He looked as if he were answering the order of the general in the army.

Kamryn was overjoyed.

The dog was healthy and clean, and she could keep it at home. Naturally, she was in a good mood.

Even though Charlie didn't let her pet or even touch the puppy, she didn't feel upset. She happily purchased many wonderful pet accessories and brought them home.

After Charlie's hired workers finished redecorating the west balcony on the second floor, including adding guardrails and a glass door, she gave the pet accessories to a servant. Then she directed him to fix up the dog's room, which took him a long time, while standing outside the door.

Eugene stood next to her, his mask on, his hands resting on the glass door, eagerly watching as the servant gradually set up the Chapter 997

dog's room according to Kamryn's plan.

The ground was covered with colorful foam cushions. The floor had bright foam cushions on it, and a cozy dog bed was in the corner. Star lights decorated the wall out of the dog's reach. Additionally, there was a cartoon dog bowl, a basin, lots of toys, and more.

There were too many things in one room, but they didn't look clustered. Instead, the room looked cozy and warm.

Kamryn looked around the room and felt content. She asked Eugene, "Do you like how I decorated the room? The dog will be living here."

"I do. It's beautifull"

Eugene appeared content, and he responded to her for the first time in several days.

They shared a similar appreciation for aesthetics and both admired the room. They stood outside the clear door for a while, relishing the space, before joyfully asking the servant to put the dog, living in the cage for a few days, into the room. The dog was scared by the unfamiliar room. It lay on the ground and did not dare to move

However, soon after, the toy poodle's playful and smart behavior emerged. It sniffed around the balcony and quickly grew accustomed to its new home. It joyfully leaped into the cozy dog bed and rolled around while howling excitedly. "Aww! It's so cute!" Kamryn exclaimed with loving eyes.

She couldn't help holding her face with a silly smile.

Eugene leaned closer to the glass door and didn't even blink.

The servant stood helplessly aside, not daring to disturb them, and resolved to stop them if they wanted to go in and pet the PUPPY.

An hour later, under their gazes, the servant came in and gave the puppy dry food and water. After eating, the puppy seemed a little tired and curled up in the bed, as if it was going to sleep.

Kamryn and Eugene had no choice but to turn off the lights reluctantly, ready to go downstairs.

Unexpectedly, when they descended the stairs, Kamryn heard the dog barking restlessly. It probably felt insecure after leaving Kamryn or was apprehensive of the dark, just like Kamryn. As a result, it was not as energetic and playful as before, and its barking was tinged with horror. She felt sorry for the dog's distressing whine and continued to glance back as she walked. Eventually, she couldn't stand it any longer and dashed to the doghouse, shouting loudly, "Charlt

Charl...

This was the name she gave the puppy

puppy

Charlie was reading the financial newspaper in the living room, and when he heard a name, he frowned and turned livid.

He thought, 'How does this woman come up with such a name for the dog? Charlie and Charl. People may think that she was calling me! This name is so unpleasant to the ear!"

He became upset much later because Kamryn stayed on the second floor when free and Eugene did not request he buy new toys and spent all day outside the glass door. They both appeared to have gone crazy over the dog.

He thought jealously, I really shouldn't have let her keep that damned male dog! After work each day, I have only a small amount of spare time to spend with her. But she and Eugene completely ignore me and don't even have time to speak with me, matead choosing to watch that stupid dog'
