Moon Bound
Prologue

As Mary ran through the forest carrying her barely two-year-old pup there was only one thought that was running through her mind.

That she is the world’s worst mother.

How could she not think that? She has been spending all of her time focused on one thing.

Making sure that Marisol survived.

For the past twenty-two months, Mary and her mate Sol had spent all of their time going to any and everyone in the pack lands who might know to save a pup that was born as a runt. They would do anything if it meant that their little Marisol would live a long and healthy life.

She was sure that she had found someone who knew the way to do it.

Mary slowed down when she reached the edge of the forest and saw two hooded figures standing by the lake. “Did you bring him? Is he really here?” She called out to them, alerting them of her presence.

They both turned to her and let down their hoods, her eyes immediately drawn to the man with white shoulder-length hair. For the first time in twenty-two months, she smiled.

Her precious Marisol will be saved.
