Moon Bound -
Fifteen
Judah
I finally have Marisol right where I want her, with me in my pack. Our pack.
I quickly lead her to my wing in the pack house. We will be staying there for the night.
I built a home over thirty years ago by hand for my mate and I to live in when I finally found her. Once Benjamin showed me the vision of her I had my pack members start to move my things into our new home. I want to finish the rest myself, but that will have to wait until later. Right now Marisol deserves my full attention.
"I know that you mentioned us having a talk, but I assume that the talk that you want to have is about us being mates. We also need to talk about the attack that happened and what happened after Benjamin and I helped with the victims." She breaks the silence between us.
I cannot help but get a little irritated that Sofia has still gone unpunished for what she did to Marisol. How she treated her like she was worthless after healing an Alpha and our pack's witch. Sofia should have been throwing her a damn parade. "Yes, we can talk about that as well. You will decide Sofia's punishment for her treatment of you." I squeeze her hand before stopping in front of the door to that leads to my part of the pack house.
I push open the door to my wing before leading Marisol inside. She observes what's left of what could be considered a large high rise apartment. "Is this where we will be living?" She asked as she let go of my hand to do a little spin as she took in the details of the place.
When she was done observing she turned to me. Staring at me with those big brown eyes. I couldn't help but stare at her in awe, mesmerized by her beauty. "No, I built a house for us that is close to the pack house. I believe that it is for the best that we have some space from the pack members, to just be us. Not the Alpha King and the Luna Queen, there we will just be Marisol and Judah."
A blush graces her cheeks as she absorbs my words. "I think I like the sound of that." She nods her head along with her words.
"We will be moving in there tomorrow, first I just need to move the rest of mu things. If you don't like the house I can always build another one for you, but we will have to stay here for a few weeks." Everything needs to be perfect for her.
"No!" She exclaimed. "I'm sure whatever you have built will be perfect." She sat down on the couch in the living room, and began to look around again. Taking in the place.
I take a seat on the couch that is across from her. It is not because I want to be apart from it, rather it is being too close to her will tempt me into doing things that I shouldn't. Things that she may not be ready for. Especially when there are important matters that her and I need to discuss.
"I know that we both have things that we want to say to one another." I nod towards her. "You go first Marisol." I am not exactly sure what happened to her after she healed Scarlet and Wren. I am aware that she was weak afterwards, and she was not made a priority after helping those in need.
She nods. "First I don't want Sofia to be punished because of me I-"
I hold my hand in the air and she immediately stops speaking, her eyes wide. "She will be punished for treating my mate the way that she did." I say this firmly but keep my voice low so I don't intimidate her, but my point still comes across.
She nods. "That wasn't exactly what I wanted to talk about, but I just wanted you to know that." She took a deep breath before letting out a little sigh. "When I healed Alpha Wren and the witch I was in agony. I'm really surprised that I hadn't fainted. Also when I was in the car with Benjamin he told me that when he brought Alpha Wren's wolf to the surface it was painful for him as well."
After she was done speaking I got up from my seat, walking towards her. Her eyes widened at my sudden movement, but she didn't protest as I extended my hand to place it on her forehead. "Are you feeling better now?" I ask. Hearing the words that she had just spoken did nothing but direct more of my anger towards Sofia. I don't react on it at this very moment because I know that is not what she wants or needs from me.
She kept her beautiful eyes trained on me as she blushed. "Yes, I am feeling better." I can tell that she wants to say more, the hesitation showing in her body language. Her teeth bite into her bottom lip, and her eyes go from looking into mine to the floor.
I glide my hand down from her forehead down to cup her cheek. "Talk to me." I command.
She looks back up at me. "I have been too scared to do anything that I normally do. One of the birds at the lake had a small injury on their leg, and I was too scared to heal it." She says softly.
I sit down beside her. I will just have to fight the temptations of wanting to do something that she isn't ready for. She needs me to comfort her.
I start to run my fingers through her hair, I've noticed that it is something that she enjoys.
"Then you and Ben will not use your gifts until you feel ready. I will make sure that no one attempts to put any pressure onto you when it comes to using them." If anyone dares to attempt to shame her or Ben for not wanting to use them again, I'll end them. She should be able to live her life without worrying about helping others, especially if it is going to cause her pain.
She smiles at me. "Thank you for being so understanding, that's all I had to say."
"Well I wanted to speak to you about a few things. For one I want to tell you that I am happy that you are my mate. I wouldn't want anyone else, you are perfect for me." I tug her closer to me, and now she is almost sitting on my lap.
She bites her lip and begins to twirl her hand in between her fingers. My words have probably made her nervous. She probably feels that I am lying, but they are one-hundred percent the truth. She will soon see for herself that the words that I have spoken to her are the truth.
I clear my throat, preparing to change the subject. Trying to will myself to not focus on the doubts that she has on our relationship. "I have already stated that Sofia will be punished, and that you are to be the one who decides what her punishment is. If you think that not choosing a punishment for her is an option then I will be the one to decide. Trust me, I know that you will not be happy with the end result." My voice had gotten deeper than usually towards the end of my statement. I took a deep inhale of air in an attempt to compose myself. Other than that Benjamin and I spoke, and he told me that there are a few things that he is able to do that you are not."
She sighed, as she relaxed into my arms. "Well as you know Benjamin is capable of teleporting himself along with other people as well. He can also enter someone's mind, usually it is to mess with their emotions or their body functions. He can diffuse a situation by simply triggering a person's brain to release dopamine, which will emotional stabilize and calm someone down. It really is fascinating." I closed my eyes as I listened to her ramble on about Benjamin's talents. Even though it irked me to hear her speak on another male with such high regard, just listening to how happy she sounded while speaking on it was enough to calm my wolf and myself down. "There are a few more things that he can do that I am not completely aware of, because he tries not use his gifts to a minimum around me. He doesn't want to make me feel bad about not having the same abilities."
Even though I borderline hate Benjamin. From is obnoxious behavior towards others, to his and Marisol's close bond. I have to admit that he has been a great brother to Marisol. I am glad that they have one another. "You have no reason to feel bad about what you can and cannot do. You have limits for a reason." I lean in closer to her, my lips brushing against her ear. "So that you can be healthy in my arms." She shuddered as I pressed a kiss against the shell of her ear.
I place my hands on her hips, easily maneuvering her body to face mine. I place both of my hands onto her cheeks, slowly guiding her to face me. "You have told me what you aren't capable of doing. Now tell me about what you can do."
The smile that she gives me is so bright the it lights up the entire room. "Well you know that I can heal all living things. People, animals and plants. I also have the ability to calm down most people and animals with just a touch. I can somewhat communicate with animals, but it is not one-hundred percent reliable." She trails off before gasping. "Well you also know that I get visions from the moon goddess of other wolves and their soulmates. There have been a few times where I have to do more than just tell them that they are meant to be. Some wolves can be very stubborn."
This is all that I want, her speaking positively of herself with that smile on her face. That is all that I will ever want from her.
She flinches slightly as I grasp both of her shoulders. I make sure that we are holding eye contact before I say. "You are wonderful Marisol, the perfect mate for me."
"There are a few more things that need to be added to the long list of things that I cannot do." She states completely ignoring what I said. I wanted to glare at her, the beautiful that was just on her face has completely disappeared. Leaving a melancholic look in his wake. "I don't know if I can become pregnant with pups, let alone survive giving birth to them. I also don't think that I will be able to survive you marking me or us completing the mating bond. Runts are not supposed to live past a certain age. I was able to cheat death, but there is a reason why runts die so soon. We just aren't strong enough.
All of those things that she just said, completing the mate bond, having pups. Those things don't mean anything to me if I don't have her. I need her to understand. She is enough. I can hold her in my arms, kiss her body, and smell her scent. That is enough for me. I hope that it is enough for her. "Would I like all of those things you just listed? Yes I would. If having those things means I don't have you then I am perfectly fine not having them. You are mine and I am yours that's all that matters."
Finally, the look of sadness changes to look of hope. Her beautiful eyes focus in on mine as she nods. "If you really mean that-"
I cut her off before she can finish her sentence. "I do. I mean it more than you'll ever know."
"Since you mean that." A giggle that escapes her lips causing her to pause in between her words. "The least that I can do is tell Benjamin to ask the moon goddess about us and what we should be able to do as mates when he speaks to her about the war." She reaches up to cradle my face in her hands. "I really want to have pups with you."
I couldn't help the smile that spreads on my face. Even if we may not be able to have pups hearing her say that is enough. I'm sure they will be enough pups within the pack to keep the baby fever at bay. Hell, we might even replace a pup to adopt if she really wants to be a mother.
There isn't anything that I would not do for Marisol.
