Moon Bound
Twenty-Six

Judah

I walk throughout the pack house on my way to where the witch is being interrogated there is only one thing on my mind.

Marisol.

How powerful she is, and she doesn’t even know it.

How she is the perfect mate for me.

She was so quick to disregard the command that I gave her earlier today, to run away if anything dangerous happens with the witch.

Instead, she ran towards the danger and saved Benjamin.

I would be angry with her but, I’m not sure he would have made it without her.

She demonstrated how powerful she was again when showing Alpha Lucian his mate. She was still kind while she made it clear that it was his responsibility to have her help us in anyway that she can.

She is perfect.

The perfect Luna Queen. I know that I can depend on her to care for those in our pack if something is to go awry.

That she will put their safety above her own and do what needs to be done.

She is a wolf worthy of being a leader.

As elated I am to see that she is worthy of being my queen, I am even more so that she can still do what she loves after this terrifying encounter.

She can still heal others and show them visions without being in any pain.

If only the same could be said for Ben.

I know that watching him in pain is hard for my Marisol. Knowing that there wasn’t anything she could do to ease the pain for him hurts her even more.

Three hours after witnessing one of the most important people in her life go through that kind of excruciating pain she puts a smile on her face for Alpha Lucian. She told him about his mate and made plans on what needs to be done. Just another testament to how strong she really is.

I was so engrossed in the conversation that my Marisol was having with the alpha about his mate. The only reason that I am not there now is because Cole mind linked me to meet him outside the interrogation room.

I sigh when I finally made it to the basement of the pack house. The place where we keep wolves who break the law in the pack lands and our enemies. We need to keep them away from my pack members, but still close by so they cannot attempt to escape.

“Interrogating this witch has been a waste of my time. I never thought I would meet another female as stubborn as Alpha Artemis.” I overhear Atticus say as I walk into the room.

“She is a very strong witch, but I’m sure that in time we will break her.” Ravian replied to him before placing his hand on his shoulder.

She was strong enough to put Ben down in her sleep, I am having doubts that any of us would have the power to break her.

Atticus glared at his brother, “I believe that we should kill her now before she starts anymore problems for us. I’m sure Benjamin has all the information that we need anyway.”

Always the impulsive one.

“Not yet.” I said. They turned to me when they heard my voice, giving me their attention as I continued speaking. "As soon as Benjamin wakes up and tells us what he saw is when we will decide the witch's fate.

They both nod.

I am praying to the moon goddess that the information that he gained would be worth the suffering that he is currently going through.

Cole walked out the room where the witch was being held slamming the door behind him. “We haven’t been able to get any information out of her, I suspect that she’s still doing magic even though she’s tied up in those ropes. She is stronger than she looks."

I can’t help but let out a sigh, I feel more powerless than ever.

These witches have been a pain in my side since the very beginning, but never like this. They have the power to wipe out an entire minor pack, but they haven't.

“They’re doing all of this for what? Resources? There has to be something deeper than that.” Ravian said as he began to pace.

I can tell that his wolf is getting restless. He probably agrees with his brother that we should kill the witch, but he will never say it out loud.

I won’t say it out loud but even I am even starting to consider it as well. The only thing that is stopping me is the knowledges that Lucian is going to replace his mate soon. I am not sure how, but she will help us win this way with the witches.

Just as I am bout to give Atticus the green light to kill the witch I am silenced by footsteps.

"They want to wipe us out, they have wanted to for quite some time now."

We all turned to see Alpha Archer slowly walking down the steps into the room.

If there is anyone who would have the answers to our questions about the witches and their motives it would be him. He was mated to a fire elemental witch, making him privy to their mindset and how they operate.

"Alpha King." He acknowleged me before bowing his head. He then nodded his head at the others before speaking again. "Alpha Lucian, our Luna Queen and I were just speaking about our problems with the witches. We believe that it would be best for all of us for you to call a meeting with all of the Alpha's present so we can discuss it."

Hearing someone else refer to Marisol as their queen was enough for me to be over the moon with joy, but now is not the time to celebrate.

I nod. "I will do just that then."

Archer turned to walk back up the stairs.

I turned to Cole. "Call a few warriors and have them stand guard here. I don't know what kind of tricks that she can pull."

Cole nodded before following Archer up the steps.

I have no doubt that Lucian is going to make it known that his mate is a witch, and that she is the one who is going to help us overcome the witches that are performing blood magic. I only worry for the reactions of those who despise witches no matter if they are on our side or not.

All ten Alpha's of the pack lands in the same room together. It is almost a gaurantee that this is going to be chaos.
