Mr. Poker Face’s Sweetheart By Lee Dubois -
Chapter 102
Chapter 102
Although Kila took the initiative to be in charge of the barbecue when in the car, Neville and Hymes had almost done all the work until it was fully prepared.
Hymes drove them aside to sit down and rest.
Giselle joked, “We are not here just to have fun. We will miss the joy of participation if we don’t do anything.”
Hymes handed the ingredients to Neville and smiled softly, “Eating is also participation.”
There were other people who came here for a picnic today, but the best place was occupied by them.
The front was a beautiful lake view, and there were many bright flowers on the shore.
White clouds were drifting and the sun was shining bright.
Everything was so leisurely and comfortable.
Giselle didn’t forget her real goal today, and she moved close to the barbecue.
It happened that Hymes went to clean up the tent at this time, and Giselle immediately asked, “Mr. Desmund, I heard that you used to cooperate with Pino Capital, didn’t you?”
Neville raised his somewhat indifferent eyes and looked at Giselle, “Just call me by my name… What are you asking Pino Capital for?”
Giselle didn’t go into too much detail and just asked, “I want to know some information about the senior management of Pino Capital. Can you tell me?”
“The information about the senior management is mostly confidential.”
Neville answered Giselle without hesitation and then lowered his head to stare at the barbeque carefully.
Giselle felt a little disappointed, “Name is enough. Can you tell me?”
The reason why Giselle chose to budge on the problem was that Giselle doubted whether the boss of Pino Capital was related to someone she knew in the past.
Maybe she could think more clearly after knowing the name.
Otherwise, Giselle could never call to mind when she came into contact with such a great man, who shouldn’t have been in
her life.
“They have several bosses. Which one do you want to know?”
“If you don’t mind, you can tell me all of them…”
“I’m sorry.”
Neville’s eyes had power inside, which was shrewd and sharp.
Since Neville was the most famous lawyer in the industry, a scene went across Giselle’s mind that she was a poor defendant being interrogated by Neville, the plaintiff’s attorney.
Giselle was horrified to tremble.
Although Giselle felt that Neville was no more intimidating than Hymes in terms of aura, Hymes would always treat Giselle with the gentlest attitude.
Chapter 102
Giselle got used to Hymes‘ gentle attitude, and she would be a little scared when facing people like Neville.
Unfortunately, Kila went to the bathroom far from them to solve her problem.
With no one to embolden Giselle, she began to back off. “If you feel bothered by the question, I won’t ask anymore…”
Giselle had never thought that Neville could be so terrifying before. She shrank her neck and was about to go away.
Hymes came over at this moment and saw the fear between Giselle’s brows, like a poor little rabbit being bullied.
The smile on Hymes‘ face disappeared. He walked to Giselle to put his arms around Giselle and asked with hostility in tone, “What are you doing?”
Neville looked at Hymes quietly. “Nothing. Just now…”
He said with meaning. “Ms. Ostry was asking me about the big boss of Pino Capital.”
Neville emphasized the two words big boss, and only Hymes could understand what it meant.
Hymes‘ eyes dimmed, and Giselle hurried to say, “It’s nothing, just small talk. You know that I’ve been working with Pino Capital recently, so I want to get more information about their company…”
“Well.” Hymes gave Neville another warning look and then turned his gaze away to take Giselle to the hanging chair aside.
Hymes said gently to Giselle, “Every industry has its own rules. Neville can’t tell you even if he knows the specific information.”
“I know…” Giselle asked dejectedly, “I shouldn’t have asked the question, should I? Did it affect your relationship with Mr. Desmund? Will he be angry?”
“No, he won’t. Neville is not a petty man.”
“Well… I’m afraid if I upset him and affect you.”
“It’s OK.” Hymes stretched out his hand to pinch Giselle’s face, “Today you are here to rest. Forget the work and just enjoy yourself, will you?”
“Fine…”
Anyway, it was impossible to know the answer and Giselle could only give up, just a little disappointed.
Hymes returned to the barbecue area, handed the barbecue sauce to Neville, and said in a low voice, “What did you answer?”
“I told her these are senior secrets.”
They thought the same. Neville glanced at the woman who was so white to shine under the sun from the corner of his eyes, and then turned his gaze back to Hymes, “How dare you help her in the name of the big boss of Pino Capital? It’s asking for
trouble.”
A touch of irritability flashed across Hymes‘ sharp eyebrows, “Staff was not vigilant enough to conceal the truth.”
“The day your identity is exposed seems to come soon.”
Neville gloated over Hymes.
This was the cost of appearing with lies from the very beginning. The struggle, fear, and worry would haunt Hymes like a nightmare all the time.
Hymes said coldly, “Shut up.”
Neville couldn’t help laughing, “Don’t ask me for help then…”
Chapter 102
I also camped by the reservoir at night, the weather was good, and I could see the clear trajectory of the Milky Way and the sky full of stars.
They brought two tents and Giselle would sleep with Kila tonight. Before going to bed, Hymes pulled Giselle to lie on the
lawn.
Giselle secretly glanced at the man beside her.
Hymes carried a lamp, but it wasn’t very bright. Half of his handsome face was hidden in the darkness but more mysterious and charming.
Giselle couldn’t help staring at Hymes with scorching eyes.
Hymes could only turn around and stretch out his hand to hold Giselle’s chin, “What are you looking at?”
“You” Giselle blurted out. “Why are you so…”
Hymes stared at Giselle quietly.
Then Hymes heard Giselle say, “So handsome, definitely my type.”
Hymes smiled, “You can watch it more if you like. Just watch it as much as you like in the coming days until you get tired of
it
“How to get tired?” Giselle blinked her eyes, “At least I’m not tired of it now, and I think you’re getting more and more handsome.”
Hymes rationality collapsed under the starlight, and he kissed Giselle’s lips accurately.
“You teased me first. His breath was slightly fluttering and his voice was deep. Hymes turned over the responsibility to Giselle, “So don’t blame me…”
Giselle was shy and she nudged Hymes, “They’re still there…”
