Bailey's pov

His voice sent shivers down my spine and I huffed, turning to him. Icouldn't really see him properly in this dark but his mere presencemade the room feel incredibly small.

The tension grew so thick too.

I worried my lips between my teeth and crossed my arms under mybreasts.

"What are you doing here Kaleb? And how did you even replace me?"?

I can feel his eyes on me, eyeing me with a dangerous heat I could feelacross the space between us.

"I came to check up on my runaway princess. You left in a hurry,” histone is soft, far from how it had been when I told him no in the schoolsparking lot.

I swallowed, my breathing now a bit shaky.

"Well, you've checked. Now, I'd like to be alone,” I replied, my voicecolder than I intended.

I thought my harsh words would make him flinch away and get out, butinstead Kaleb moves to the left and puts on the lights.

I wince, adjusting my eyesight to the intrusion of the light.

He's standing in the room, leaning against the wall, a bottle of alcoholin his hand and something small and green in the other.

His gaze is fixated on me, like he's eyeing his prey.

"As much as the dark reminds me of that hot night, I would much rathersee everything for what I have planned tonight.”

I swallowed, licking a trail across my lips. What did he mean? What ishe planning to do?

"The captain missing at his own celebration party? I don't think it's agood idea to stay here with me." I was trying to remove theconversation from where he wanted it to go.

He needed to go so I can figure this out. My feelings and ugh I justdon't even know anymore. This is exactly why I needed to stay awayfrom him. See how his mere presence is messing up my head?

He pushed off the wall and stalks to towards me like a predator.

A shiver runs down my spine at the intensity of his stare.

I took a step back when he's eating up the distance between us and theback of my leg hit the bed frame.

Shit. There was nowhere to go.

"Get on the bed flower," His voice dropped in a low husky tone thatmade me bite the bottom of my lip hard.

My eyes widen. "What? Hell no."

He tilted his head to the side, gazing at me with that gleam of heat Iwas now accustomed to. " You run up here because you thought I'd dobody shots on those girls."

I gulped, looking away as I felt my face flush. He read me like an openbook and that's embarrassing.

"1 don't care what you do Kaleb," I lied through my teeth and keepingmy gaze away from his.

" So you wouldn't care if I go back down there and lick all over Juliet'sstomach?"

His words made me snap my gaze back to his and I glared. It seemsthat's what he wanted me to do because he smirked in satisfaction.

I ground my teeth.

"Looks like you do care flower."

I fisted my hands, holding my glare steady on his handsome face. " Iwould like to be alone Kaleb. Get out and do whatever you want."

He raised a brow, a tiny flash of a smirk at the corner of his mouthshowcasing. " You want me out? Then do as I say. Be a good girl andget on that bed. Because the only thing I want to do is you."
