My Bloody Revenge
Chapter 35: Moving

"JAZE!" Lydoran bellows directly after getting back inside again. His voice echoes around themansion. "Jaze!" he shouts again after entering the little library.

"WHAT!" Jaze shouts back slightly annoyed. Following the sound, they replace him sitting in theentertainment room, leisurely spread out on the couch, watching some action movie. Tilting hishead slightly to the side he sees them approach from the corner of his eyes.

"We need to move and now.” Lydoran speaks with finality in his voice and that is enough to getJaze's undivided attention. "Elmir has found her."

Jaze stands up and notice for the first time the state Lyra's in and he doesn't like what he sees."What happened?”

"This was just delivered here and its addressed to Lyra. We can't stay here any longer.” handingover the note and collar to Jaze he proceeds to gently lay Lyra down in the couch Jaze justvacated. When he makes moves to straighten out, she reaches out and grab hold of his hand asif to silently beg for him to stay. "I will be right back, love. I promise." Gently he strokes hercheek, willing her with his eyes to let go. That she will be safe.

"That fucker is so dead. I'm going to beat his ass before letting the little fucker bleed out, causethere's no way I'll drink his filthy blood."

"You can't do that." Lyra's soft voice is a mere whisper.

"I can and I will. He has hurt you too many times and I refuse to let him just take you away orthreaten you as he pleases.” Jaze argues, upset by the whole thing.

"I simply want to be the one raining revenge down on him." she answers with a meager smilebut a smile none the less. Hearing her wishes his next speech about killing Elmir evaporates intothin air and understanding shines in his dark eyes. He kneels next to the couch and envelopesher in a sloppy hug. "We will stand behind you when you do." he encourages.

"We will always stand behind you, no matter where you are or where you go." Lydoran finishesupon returning. He drops several well packed bags to the floor. "I called my blood father toinform him about recent happenings and our hasty departure. He has provided us with a newhouse approximately eight hours from here, give or take an hour or two. It will be ready by thetime we get there.” he speaks while fiddling with his phone, fingers moving across the display ina fast pace and face creased into concentrated expression.

Jaze looks up. "Have you packed for all of us?"

Wrapping up whatever he is doing on the phone a mumbled "Yes." comes out between his lipsbut whether or not he is aware what he just answered to is unknown. For now, both Lyra andJaze takes for granted that their friend has full control of the situation and aims to simply gowith the flow.

"Did you pack food for all of us as well or are we eating as we go?" Jaze tries again and gets amore coherent replay this time. "Packed blood but we will have to stop along the way forfood." Lydoran finally puts the phone away and looks at them both. "This will be a long ridesince we will only use back roads to avoid eyes on us.” he explains. Lyra nods her head inunderstanding and Jaze grunts tiredly but ends up nodding in the end.

"I assume you don't know how to drive." Jaze looks at Lyra.

"How you even bothered to ask that is beyond me and slightly stupid.” Lydoran takes a verbaljab at Jaze.

"Thanks for enlightening me Mr asshat-cactustard.” Jaze retorts back quickly.

Lyra laughs at the not so successful comeback at throwing an insult. Holding her stomach, sherolls back and forth on the couch highly entertained. Not even Lydoran can remain composedeven though he seems to try his best not to laugh.

"Admit it was kinda funny...” Lyra coax wanting to see Jaze smile.

"Yeah yeah, laugh it up. Let's move it already.” Even if he tries to hide it by picking up theirbags, they can all see the smile playing on his lips as he bends down. Sobering up they gathertheir stuff, talks to the maids and leaves the mansion for now. Getting into the car Lyra takesone last look hoping to be able to return here someday. This was the first place she ever calledhome. The thoughts of home made her think about the place they are heading to now andwonders what that looks like. Small or big? One floor or more? Yawning she closes her eyes, head leaning against the window, and thinks more about their new place while listening toLydoran and Jaze talk.

It feels like she barely closed her eyes before someone shakes her repeatedly. The annoyingshaking is persistent and forces her to open her eyes. Squinting she looks around happy thatthe shaking has stopped for now and the culprit seems to be Jaze, he is the only one hoveringabove her. "What?" she croaks out.

"We are here."

"Already?" suddenly all traces of sleep are gone from the system and eagerness has taken itsplace. Taking help from Jaze, Lyra steps out of the car on wobbly and stiff legs. Stretching outshe looks around curiously. They are surrounded by trees, lots of trees so safe to say it's asecluded area. In front of her stands a two-story Victorian house painted in ruby red and black. It looks warm and inviting. Balcony entirely in glass with pillars. Carved wooden details adornsthe windows and doors.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Lydoran asks from behind her. "This has four bedrooms on the upper floor alarge sitting room connected to the balcony and next to that is a music room. Two rooms haveconnected bathroom’s and then there is another in the hallway. Kitchen and dining area on thefirst floor. Sitting room there as well, study, library and entertainment room. Everything ismodern so no worries.”

Stepping inside she is taken by its beauty once again. Black and silver wallpapers in the hallway.Heavy velvet curtains in classic red. Black furniture and polished wooden floor, also dark. Everyroom seems to have something red, something black and something silver. That's the threesolid colors but mixed with different ones throughout the house. Heavy furniture that matchesthe house age wise. Lyra pics a room with black sheets, cream colored walls, reddish/browncolored furniture and deep blue curtains. Large fire place adorns one of the four walls."Welcome to your new home." she whispers softly to herself.
