Chapter 97 In a Dilemma

Rorey angered Sachin by running Rosiley down.

The Ji Group had prepared to work with an international corporation on a project. So, the wholecompany had been busy for an entire year, putting a lot of effort and money into it. It was onlyrecently that the Ji Group decided on a cooperative relationship with that company. Now, it wasonly one final step away.

As long as the contract was signed, the Ji Group would attract a lot of capital from its peers. Once itsucceeded, the group would reach another peak, and it would also bring billions of dollars in profits.However, just as the Ji Group was immersed in joy, the corporation suddenly informed them that itdid not intend to cooperate with the Ji Group.

This sudden change caught both Yunis and his father, Louie Ji, off guard.

The Ji Group had borrowed a lot of money from bank for this project. Without cooperation, the JiGroup might be short of funds and have not enough cash to meet the needs.

For a moment, Louie and Yunis felt restless.

"Yunis, you were the one who approached Wells Group. Why didn't you sign the contract? Wasn'tthe manager in Asia satisfied with our company?"

Louie was a big shot who had gone through a lot, but it was difficult for him to remain calm at thismatter.

"I'm trying to figure it out. However, it seems that the head of Wells Group is avoiding me onpurpose. I haven't been able to reach him yet.”

Over the past few days, Yunis had been so busy that he hadn't even slept well and was fretful."What exactly is going on? Wells Group has raised quickly in Europe these past few years. They haveclose cooperation with many large foreign consortia. Even if they have no intention to cooperatewith us, it is impossible for such a large company with strong financial resources and backgroundsto avoid us. Did you make a mistake and offend them during the final contract negotiation?"

Louie was not a newbie in business, so he quickly noticed that something went wrong

Yunis frowned. After thinking for a while, he shook his head resolutely. "No. Dad, you know howmuch importance I attach to this project. I conducted myself well during the cooperation discussionwith the man in charge. I didn't offend him at all.”

"No matter what, it's better to solve it as soon as possible. If those old men in the company replace out,they might cause trouble again.”

Louie thought for a moment and still felt uneasy. He instructed Yunis, "Just in case, we have to replaceanother investor before Wells responds. The project is very important to the company. One moreday means one more day of loss. If we don't work it out within a month, the Ji Group will sufferheavy losses and may even fall into a grave crisis.”

At this point in time, Louie no longer dared to put all his hopes on Wells Group.

He was clear that even if he really got another investment, he was afraid that the partner would takethe opportunity to force down the price. After all, not every company could be as capable as WellsGroup.

This would be a huge loss for the Ji Group.

However, now that they were in a dilemma, they had no other choice but to do so.

Yunis was well aware of the seriousness of the matter, and his expression was solemn. However, hedid not know that the crisis was entirely caused by Rorey's malice.

As the main culprit, Rorey was busy restoring her image over the past two days and treatingeveryone to dine.

Quinta couldn't help but feel angry. She knew that her husband and son were working so hard forthe company. She glared at Rorey who didn't understand the overall situation and said, "Yunis hasbeen so busy these days for the company that he barely got time to eat. As his wife, it's fine if youdon't care for him. But you still run out every day. Look at you! What have you done recently? Otherthan embarrassing the Jis and causing trouble, what else have you done?"

"No matter what, we are a famous family. But you still go out every day. Since you are pregnant, youshould rest at home. Don't keep disgracing the family. I feel ashamed even if you don't.”

Quinta's dissatisfaction with Rorey had clearly been suppressed to a certain extent. She could notbear it any longer and vented it out.

Rorey was annoyed by what she said, but in front of Quinta who was powerful, she dared not toretort. She could only please her and say, "Mom, it's my fault that I ignored Yunis. I will make itright. Don't be angry.”

Quinta snorted coldly. "That will be great. The company is in a crisis, and I don't expect your help.However, I won't allow you to let Yunis stand up for you anymore. Compared to the company, yoursmall matter is nothing."

Rorey bit her lower lip and nodded obediently, but she was extremely hateful in her heart.

While she was the so-called lady of the Tang Group, Rorey knew that Quinta had always lookeddown on her.

Quinta was a lady who valued a well-matched marriage. Back then, she accepted her because Roreywas pregnant, Yunis insisted to marry her, and Seneca would give Rorey 20% of the shares.However, now that more than a month had passed, there was nothing.

Quinta became angrier as she thought about it and saw Rorey as a bigger eyesore day by day.

She suddenly made up her mind. If Rorey could give birth to a boy, then she could be Mrs. Ji. If not,she might have to reconsider the engagement and replace a suitable match for Yunis!

Rorey didn't seem to know what Quinta was thinking, but she knew that if she didn't get the 20%stake, the identity of the young lady of this wealthy family would be uncertain.

If she wanted to keep what she had now, she had to replace a breakthrough.

A few days ago, she drove into Rosiley and was worried that Rosiley would come for her.Unexpectedly, Rosiley didn't show up at all.

However, she failed last time. Rosiley must guard against her. It was impossible to attack her, andthe only breakthrough was Seneca.
