My extraordinary wife novel (Ashlyn and Lucas) -
Chapter 1248
Chapter 1248 Sick Of Living
Lucas seemed to be quite busy, and it was eerily quiet in the airplane.
"Sir, Ma'am, what you would like to drink?"
As Ashlyn was surreptitiously observing Lucas, a sweet and melodious voice rang out.
She looked up, only to see a beautiful flight attendant pushing a beverage cart toward her.
"Two glasses of orange juice, please," she requested politely.
The flight attendant promptly served a glass each to Lucas and her.
"Please enjoy your drinks."
"Thank you." After expressing her gratitude, Ashlyn picked up the glass in front of her and took a sip.
"I want a glass of orange juice too," a girl from the seat across the aisle suddenly interjected.
The girl appeared to be in her twenties, with fair skin, and dressed in designer clothes. Her face was obscured by sunglasses, and she had earphones in her ears. The visible parts of her mouth and nose exuded an inexplicable air of arrogance.
"Here's your orange juice, miss."
The beautiful flight attendant held a glass of orange juice out.
Just then, the plane suddenly hit a patch of turbulence.
The flight attendant let out a soft gasp. The drink in her hand ended up spilling onto the girl and Lucas.
Lucas' seat was just across the aisle from the girl's seat.
It first spilled onto Lucas, and as the flight attendant lurched forward, the remaining half a glass splashed onto the girl.
"I'm sorry, sir! I'm sorry, miss!"
The flight attendant quickly apologized in panic. At the same time, she took out a tissue to wipe the drink off the girl.
Slap!
A resounding slap suddenly landed on the beautiful face of the flight attendant.
"What's wrong with you? Are you blind?" the girl roared angrily.
"I'm sorry. It wasn't intentional." The flight attendant cradled her stinging cheek, her eyes red-rimmed as she apologized incessantly.
Just as the girl was about to raise her arm again to hit the flight attendant, a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist. Spencer chided coldly, "She didn't do it on purpose. Why are you being so aggressive?"
He happened to sit next to the girl, right beside her.
"What business is it of yours when I'm teaching a blind fool a lesson?"
The girl forcefully shook Spencer's hand off, her face lined with irritation.
Not wanting to cause any trouble, the flight attendant quickly interjected, "Thank you, sir, but I was in the wrong here. I'm sorry, miss. I can compensate you for your clothes."
"Compensate me? Do you have any idea how expensive this outfit is? Your measly salary wouldn't even cover the cost of a button, you country bumpkin!"
The girl reprimanded the flight attendant viciously.
The flight attendant's face flushed bright red. She had encountered many difficult passengers before, but it was the first time she had ever come across someone like the girl.
The passengers around them couldn't help but look their way. Although the girl's behavior was aggressive, everyone tended to mind their own business these days.
"If you keep making such a racket, do you believe I'll throw you right off this plane?"
Out of the blue, a cool and detached voice split the air.
The girl was momentarily taken aback, only to see a strikingly beautiful woman seated by the window looking at her with a cold and annoyed gaze.
The pair of ebony eyes were blanketed in frost.
She was frightened at first but quickly regained her composure.
She rose from her seat and pointed right at Ashlyn. "Who do you think you are? If you're so capable, go ahead and throw me out!"
As she spoke, she snagged a drink from the cart to toss it at Ashlyn.
"Watch out!"
All of that happened in the blink of an eye. The flight attendant wanted to intervene, but it was already too late.
Just as the drink in the girl's glass was about to spill out, Lucas let out a cold snort and shot his leg out. How dare she pick on my wife! She must be sick of living!
With a shrill shriek, the girl fell right onto the ground. The drink in her hand spilled all over herself.
She looked utterly pathetic.
"Ah! H-How dare you!"
Wiping the drink off her face, the girl pointed at Lucas, trembling in rage. Her sunglasses had fallen off, revealing a charming, internet-famous face.
Her face bore the unmistakable signs of cosmetic surgery, but despite the alterations, she still fell short of being a great beauty.
