My Father's Friend -
My Father’s Friend – Chapter 19
And what the f**k had happened? Why the f**k was he in such a bad mood? The man wondered as he watched him storm off like that. He signals Erika to get the disastrous Casey down from the stage, she couldn’t even give a good dance, the little prick. A few seconds later, Santino appears with two suitcases in his hands.
-I’ll take the girl right away,” he demands.
-Aren’t you going to wait for her to get dressed up? Or change her clothes like you always do?
-No, I’ll take her right away.” He deposits the two suitcases on the table and then opens them to show all the money requested.
-I don’t care, you can take her,” he answers, looking greedily at all the money. You should know, that stupid girl has lost her memory. I don’t know how long she will stay in that state, the doctor didn’t tell me.
He snaps his fingers, and immediately a guard appears at his side. He gives him orders to bring in the new redhead. The man nods, and goes for Casey as soon as he sees her talking to Serena.
-Serena, what happened? Why did they take me down so soon?
-He bought you,” the brunette confirms with sadness on her face.
-But who was it? Which one is it? -She looked towards the audience.
-The man in the suit at the back, he always sits in the dark. He can see all of us from there.
-Oh, my God! -His eyes water.
-The brunette grabs her shoulders as soon as she sees the guard approaching them. You must run away, when that man takes you to who knows where you… you must try to get away from him, do you understand?
-How can I do that? -She asked on the verge of tears.
-Take this.” The brunette slips a small piece of sharp metal between her panties. “It’ll do you more good than me, use it if you need it to be free.
-Serena…” She opens her eyes in surprise.
-Shh… you’ll be fine, I know…” He hugs her, just as the watchman arrives and grabs her arm to take her away.
-Serena! -he shouts at her.
The red-haired woman calls out to her as she walks through the crowd of men who are all excited for her. But since none of them had the privilege of touching the girl, they began to riot because she was being taken elsewhere.
Suddenly a tall, strong businessman stands up and grabs Casey by the hand, pulling her to his feet.
-You’re not going anywhere.
The guard made an attempt to push him to let go, but then a large hand closes over the businessman’s forearm. Santino spun the CEO’s body around in a movie-like somersault, the guy fell to the ground without understanding what the hell had happened. As soon as he looked up he realised who had attacked him.
-You bastard, you’re just a lapdog,” he shouts out loud.
-Don’t touch her again, she’s not your property,” he replies, as he watches the CEO rise to his feet in all his imposing guise.
-Who do you think you are? -He confronts him, but Santino is not far behind.
Popsicles were forbidden in the bar, the place was only supposed to be attended by billionaire businessmen with somewhat dangerous tastes. They were aware that if they were caught by the police they would be in a lot of trouble, as everyone knew how they got the girls.
-You’ve been warned,” the muscular man leaves Casey at his back as he imposes his presence on the businessman.
-Fighting is forbidden in this place, take the girl now,” Otto himself orders.
-Otto, she is new. We also have the right to bid for her.
-I doubt if anyone here can afford to pay what is being asked for her.
The select group of men kept silent, Santino took advantage of the occasion to lead the red-haired woman towards the exit. Once behind the curtain, he took out a velvet cloak and held it out to her.
-Put it on, you are forbidden to look at anything but my footsteps. Use the hood to cover your face, do you understand?
Casey blinks furiously as she stares at that cloak, then looks up to see that strange man. Was he the one who bought her? Was he the one who would make her life hell? Her legs trembled, and she swore she would faint at any moment.
-Put it on now,” he orders in a thick voice.
She nods quickly and does as he asks. Then she lowers her head and just watches the man’s footsteps. With her heart in her mouth and fear in her bones, the red-haired girl walked towards her destination, leaving behind a pretty girl who would continue to suffer calamities.
After a few minutes of walking, the man stops and that’s when she hears a car door open. Judging by the little breeze she could feel, she was sure she was outside. This was the right time to run away, there was no harm in trying, after all, she would most likely end up dead in a few days.
Without thinking too much, Casey ran… she took off her hood so she could see better and that’s when she noticed that in front of her there was a huge concrete wall with a gigantic black metal gate. How the hell was she going to get out of there, she kept running for her freedom, but out of nowhere, arms came out and closed around her waist.
-Let go of me, you’re a f*****g pervert,” he tries to defend himself.
And that’s when she remembers the weapon between her panties, she pulls the metal out of her underwear and when she manages to get her hand out of the cape she cuts the arm of the man who was holding her. She turns around to go in the opposite direction without even stopping to look at her captor, but abruptly stops when she sees the building in front of her.
-Oh, my God! -she exclaims, horrified by what her eyes were seeing.
She drops the bloody pointed metal in her hand, along with some furtive tears, she was looking at nothing but that building before her. And it was there that she knew the reason why Serena and the other girls had been locked up for so many years and no one could replace her… once again, Casey read the name engraved on the top of the building.
“School for Young Ladies.”
The building was all grey, with huge high walls. The windows were sparse, but the lighting was good enough to see this so-called school in detail. Just looking at it gave her the shivers. It was a horrible place, it looked like the very prison from which no one would escape.
It was just a facade, inside it was a typical nightclub, but on the outside it was a bloody school that covered up the disgustingness that lay within. No family of those girls was going to suspect that a school was holding their daughters hostage, no one would replace those girls. They were going to die there, being sold over and over again.
The pain he felt made Casey’s heart clench, as everything began to spin. Out of nowhere he felt himself lose track of time and his body began to collapse as if nothing had happened, a fall was imminent. But she didn’t care about anything anymore, and it was just as she was about to lose consciousness that she sensed someone holding her from behind. She wasn’t sure if it was real, or a dream, but after a few seconds she ended up sinking into a deep darkness.
The arms that were holding her ended up carrying her and putting her carefully into the car, a few seconds later, the huge gate opened and the limousine came out.
[…]She was being devoured by the fierce gaze of the pair of blue eyes that lurked in the darkness. Casey felt like he was searching her soul with just a glance. But why was he looking at her like that? She was terrified of what would happen to her, she didn’t want to be there, she just wanted to go home. She didn’t want to be touched by the man who bought her, he was watching her like a lion watching its prey and that scared her.
The red-haired girl gathers her knees as a defence when she senses the stranger approaching her, she would come out of the shadows and finally see his face and nothing more than the colour of his eyes. But with every step he took, Casey’s heart thudded in her chest as loud as it could go.
It was a terrifying fear, her virtue was at stake, her health and most important of all, her life… she bites her lips and clenches her knees as the man almost steps out of the gloom. The young woman cannot bear the fear that tightens her chest and ends up hiding her face between the hollow of her legs and chest. She didn’t want to see him, she was afraid of him, she was agonising over the uncertainty.
-Please don’t hurt me, please, I beg you.” She had no choice but to beg for her life, although she suspected it would do no good.
With such men, there was no negotiating….
