My Fiance is Lucifer The Geat By Arno Hart -
Chapter 8
Chapter 8
In Yiefmery Hospital, it seemed like Nestor had aged by more than a decade in an instant.
His only son had become a cripple!
As one can imagine, this blow was quite heavy for him.
“Glen!” shouted Nestor.
“Mr. Zinn!” replied a man with a buzz cut and a fierce expression on his face as he walked into the hospital room.
Nestor asked in a deep voice, “What on earth happened?”
Glen glanced at Shawn on the hospital bed and explained the whole story.
Bang!
Nestor punched the wall in anger and exclaimed, “Who the hell is that guy who attacked Shawn?”
“I haven’t found out yet!” responded Glen awkwardly.
Seeing Nestor’s unhappy expression, he quickly added, “It must have been Kristin’s bodyguard.”
“Bodyguard? One person fought against more than ten!” sneered Nestor.
He immediately took out his phone and dialed a number.
“Hello.” Martin’s voice sounded on the other end of the phone.
Nestor didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly, “Who hurt my son?”
“The person who injured your son?” asked Martin.
Martin was momentarily stunned.
Nestor spoke up as a reminder, “It’s that jerk who was with your daughter.”
Now Martin knew who it was.
He asked calmly, “What happened?”
“How dare you ask me what happened? My son was crippled right outside your company!” Nestor said with an accusatory tone.
Martin suddenly became annoyed and questioned, “What does it have to do with me?”
After saying that he immediately hung up the phone.
After what happened during the day, he had seen through everything.
In any field, there would be no friends if there were no benefits.
He had thought of relying on the Zinn family to turn his life around before, so he was extremely polite to Nestor. But now, even his company was gone.
Who does he have to show respect and adjust to?
Wait! Nestor’s son was crippled by Magnus!
Martin suddenly remembered the important matter.
He admitted that he had misjudged the situation this time.
Between Magnus and Shawn, he had chosen the latter.
Now it seemed that the power behind Magnus was unimaginably strong.
A single phone call could command an international financial group.
Just based on this method alone, even ten Zinn families couldn’t compare to him.
“No, I must replace a way to fix this relationship myself!” said Martin.
Martin had made up his mind.
Thinking of this, he immediately took out his phone and dialed his daughter’s number,
“Kristin, are you done with work?” asked Martin.
“There are still some documents that are not done yet,” Kristin said indifferently.
Martin smiled slightly and said, “Here’s the thing. I have specifically asked your mom to cook a few dishes, so you can bring Magnus back later and we can all have dinner together.”
Kristin was momentarily stunned.

“So it’s settled then,” said Martin, not giving her a chance to refuse and quickly hung up the phone.
After quite a while, Kristin finally came back to her senses.
She instantly understood that her father was planning to target Magnus!
On one side was their father, and on the other side was…
Kristin felt that her mind was too chaotic.
She held her phone, ready to contact Magnus and ask him to replace someone more capable.
She didn’t want to do this job anymore!
But she suddenly realized that she didn’t have Magnus‘ number at all!
“This jerk actually dares to pay no attention to the company’s operation…” mumbled Kristin to herself.
Meanwhile, at Shadewoods Estate, when Xylia got home from work, she saw a pair of men’s shoes.
She just remembered that she had an extra tenant!
The bedroom on the first floor was tightly closed.
Xylia thought about getting to know the other person, so she knocked on the door.
With a creak, the door opened.
In the next moment, she blurted out, “How come it’s you?”
“How come it’s you?” said Magnus.
Magnus and Xylia spoke almost simultaneously.
“Are you Captain Watson’s friend?” Xylia asked, feeling at a loss for words.
Magnus grinned and said, “So you’re my beautiful landlady, huh?”
Xylia glared at him, then hurried back to her room, immediately taking out her phone to contact Zane.
“Captain Watson, what on earth is going on? How could that guy be your friend!” asked Xylia.
Zane chuckled and explained, “Don’t worry, my friend is a good person. You two will definitely get along well.”
Nobody wanted to get along with him.
Xylia cursed inwardly and said, “Captain Watson, please have that guy replace another place to stay. I don’t want to live under the same roof with him.”
“Xylia, don’t you want to contribute?” asked Zane awkwardly.”
Xylia was confused, wondering how this matter was related to contribution.
However, she still blurted out, “I want to!”
“That’s fine. As long as my friend stays at your place, you’ll definitely be able to contribute after some time!” Zane assured confidently.
This statement made Xylia even more bewildered.
“That asshole living in my own house can enable me to contribute?” wondered Xylia.
“Anyway, you absolutely cannot let him go. I’ll explain the specifics to you later. That’s it for now,” Zane said before hanging up the phone.
After pondering for a moment, Xylia smelled an unusual scent of conspiracy!
“Who exactly was that person?” wondered Xylia.
Xylia gathered her emotions, changed her clothes, and then went downstairs.
Magnus was sitting on the couch, watching TV with a contented expression. As soon as he saw Xylia coming down, his gaze started to size her up,
“What are you looking at?” Xylia said discontentedly.
“Is it illegal to look at beautiful women?” said Magnus.
Magnus chuckled playfully, then took out a stack of one–hundred–dollar bills from his pocket, and handed them to her. “This is my rent for a year. You can check it.”
Xylia snorted coldly and collected the money on the table.
Not taking the money would be foolish.
She just counted and found that the amount was incorrect. “Only 1,500 dollars? You said this is a year’s rent?”
Magnus shrugged and said, “That’s right. Zane told me it is 120 dollars a month, including water and electricity. That’s 1,440 dollars a year. The remaining 60 dollars is extra from me.”

“What? Only 120 dollars a month? And that includes utilities?” Xylia’s expression was filled with shock.
“Is that not possible? Then I won’t rent it!” said Magnus as he reached out to take the money back.
Xylia hastily stepped two steps back and clenched her teeth. “I will rent it out!”
“Don’t force yourself, if you really don’t want to rent it out, I can replace another place,” said Magnus with a grin.
Seeing him keep pushing his luck, Xylia was extremely frustrated.
She could only console herself with the thought of her contribution.
“I need to discuss terms with you,” Xylia said seriously.
“Go ahead, I’m all ears,” Magnus said as he picked at his ear.
This was clearly just going through the motions!
Xylia glared at him.
“First, you are only allowed to be downstairs and not take a single step upstairs without permission! Secondly, no smoking at home. I hate the smell of smoke! Thirdly, you can’t tell anyone about this matter!” said Xylia.
“Are you done talking?” Magnus asked.
“I can only think of these for now,” Xylia replied indifferently.
Magnus stood up and sighed, “I can’t do what you’re asking… I should just leave.”
After saying that, he went into the room to collect his things.
Unexpectedly, Xylia blurted out, “No, you can’t leave!”
Upon hearing this, Magnus grinned.
“Handling her is easy–peasy…”
